Chili B is the best take away sandwich shop right off the main square in Hitchin. We also dined in for breakfast and they are so accommodating. They made my husband a special breakfast at his request for his special diet while I had fluffy thick pancakes with a delicious blueberry compote. The desserts are legit, I was happy to see a perfect pecan pie so far from home. The British really know their desserts! Even if the take away line has a bit of a cue, these guys are fast and you will be on your way to your next adventure.

Enjoyed a lovely lunch in their garden! Lots of options on the menu - which is great if you are on a diet. Awesome coffee, good atmosphere and friendly staff - what more could you want?

More expensive than your usual sandwich places but there is a reason it's because it's the best money can buy whether u r a meat lover or vegan

Had the Vegan Las Vegas wrap and the Raging Bull in ciabatta. Came out pretty quick and was very nice! Only cons are that we found some staff were a bit blunt/sarcastic when you don't automatically know how the menu/their system works. Also staff offered olives which I thought was was replacement because I asked for no avocado. Only to find we were charged £1.50 for a few olives.

Visited for the first time this week on Wednesday and loved it. Food was delicious, staff very friendly. Lovely decor, warm environment, good music and could have sworn I was in one of the top cafes in Shoreditch! Went back today and ordered the Chilli B' special again still had a great experience! Will be back and will bring friends!

After hearing many rave reviews, we popped in for some sandwiches on a Saturday and were not disappointed. The choice is exceptional and the quality is second to none. My family (who were visiting) were so impressed it’s now a must-do when they visit. As a local, it’s secured a space at the very top of my list for lunch spots in Hitchin. Thanks so much!

I had the vegetarian breakfast, the individual parts of which were fine but it was a slightly odd combination as it was a regular fry up with a veggie sausage in place of a pork sausage but also included an avocado! Sorry, drop the avocado and give 2 sausages instead of 1, avocado has no place on a cooked breakfast. I'm sure if it asked for this change it shouldn't have been an issue but I'm reviewing the menu as offered. Staff were very pleasant.

Great little sandwich shop in Hitchin that stands above the rest, especially for hot sandwiches. Loads of selection of both toppings and bread. Friendly service too. It's popular so you might be queueing at lunchtimes, especially towards the end of the week. Worth it though!

Quite simply, it's the best place to get lunch from in Hitchin. I didn't even think much of ciabattas until I started going here. They're immaculate and everything tastes fresh. They sometimes have homemade baked food that's also insanely nice. If you're in Hitchin and hungry, just simply go here if you want a high quality and filling lunch. Salad, ciabatta, jacket potato; all options are good.

I had been eyeing this place up for a while as I’ve recently moved to the area and my sandwich certainly exceeded my expectations. The produce was displayed professionally and clean and tasted phenomenal. Potentially the best sandwich I’ve ever eaten. Great service and great prices highly recommend.

Great place! Food’s lovely and fresh, with plenty of options (including for veggies). I’ve been going for a while and only just learned about the lovely garden too - such an added bonus! Really recommend.

Just had the merry Christmas Mr Lawrence toasted chiabatta .wow superb so fresh full of taste .Great little shop just of the square good selection of sandwiches and cakes great atmosphere and staff .Well done all will definitely be back best sandwiches in hitchin

Currently sat in Chilli Bs while writing this review. The service has been great, super attentiveand the coffees came out really quick. Beautifully presented and actually the best tasting coffee in Hitchin. The food is fantastic and came out in a good time. The staff seem happy and the gentleman behund the deli counter is a top geezer. Will be making chilli Bs my lunchtime stop from now on. Keep it up 🤘

Great find Was following directions for Chilli Banana , ended up here , am I right?! Older guy in front a bit grumpy ( bet is the owner ) but the lady not looking her age compensates by being so lovely. Had a Starsky ciabatta, a focaccia turkey and ham a bit dry ( my fault as requested only mustard lol) Halloumi, chicken egg salad great 👍 Other half loved it and been full since tells a lot about Food deliziozo , well done guys Shame run out of jackets . Big breakfast selection and coffee good value will possibly bring us back for a try ! Very busy and seatings full means something , obviously great location does the Job too. Stopped in for a take away at lunchtime, food is amazing although there aren't prices obviously on display. Due to popularity there was a queue so had to wait a while - because everything is freshly made. Really enjoyed the food.

Exceptional service from Holly today. Never have I met someone so passionate about servicing customers. Even when a customer was rude to her for no reason, she kept smiling away and didn’t change her upbeat manner. Very rare to see this type of customer service, even after living in London for 12 years. Lovely food too!!

Worst breakfast in hitchin! Swimming in oil, sausages gristly, mushrooms raw and eggs overcooked. Will not be eating here again. Avoid!

Always loved this place for years, When I worked in Hitchin I always went here for lunch. These days I don't work on Hitchin anymore but went here last week after about 3 or 4 years since I last been. Perfect food as usual, not much has changed and I can't give a better review than that really. If you have not tried this place you need too.
