This hotel has certainly change post pandemic. No longer you get a bed made or clean mugs for your tea. No replenished of tea and coffee and no room cleaning at all. If you want clean towels or milk for your tea you have to ask at reception and that’s if you can find someone one duty. They’ve even change from loo rolls to tissue dispensers, just like at school, low quality tissue. The restaurant menu has halved and looks like meals that come straight out a microwave. Could be wrong as I didn’t try. It’s in a convenient location and there some really nice restaurants near by. The 2 stars are for bed as it was comfortable

Lovely double room, fresh, spotless, well-appointed - every need and desire catered for, for a person like me, even down to a very efficient air-conditioning system. Great spot, being a short walk from a high street and a lovely outlook over trees and a beautiful old wall, which, I believe surrounds a church and also a good market nearby. And how can a Premier Inn family buffet breakfast be beaten? It can't. Perfect for nearby family to all come together for great social breakfast.

Walk in breakfast. £9.99 for all you can eat. Kids under 16 eat free. Obviously a buffet breakfast, so timing is crucial.

We stay here 4-5 times a year and very rarely have any issues. Professional and friendly staff which makes your stay that little more comfortable. Prices are excellent and the rooms are what you expect from a premier inn.

Good value and excellent location. Slept well - there's decent mattress and black out curtains make the difference. Good shower too. Highlight was the breakfast and friendly staff throughout our 2 night stay. Thank you - would book again.

It's a premier Inn , so I knew what to expect. It was clean, good condition. The staff exceptional in their friendliness. A pleasure to stay there. Very conveniently placed. The car parking lets it down a bit, but the staff are helpful, and the long term carpark is not that far away. The bedrooms could benefit from USB charging ports.

Booked for an event. The air conditioning only went down to 19 and spent most of the night sounding like an asthmatic on their death bed. The shower was barely a dribble but credit where due, the water was hot.....just would have been nice for a powerful shower

Sorry to say not a good experience this time. The room we were in didn't have an opening window so I felt stifled all night and couldn't sleep. The staff in the restaurant in the morning was alone and had too much to do for 1 person. The chef couldn't be bothered to cook more hash browns even though it was only 8:30 and they didn't have any gluten free cereal although there was a board saying it was available and the chef didn't seem to want to make any gluten free toast as it would have taken him away from his phone it seemed. The bacon was overcooked and hard and there was only a small amount of baked beans on offer. Not the usual standard for the breakfast I'm afraid.

WiFi is useless both free and paid. Evening menu is very limiting and lacks serious choice. Staff friendly and polite and the breakfast js good as always

Check in with a bit of a nightmare as the machine wasn't working. It was confusing the next day for breakfast. I had to pay on my card as I thought I had already paid for it and make sure you download the app pay for parking as you need to put the ticket on your car at 8 in the morning

Best experience as ever. We stayed here during heatwave and we always gets full AC during summers. I think this is our fourth time we chose Premier Inn, never disappointed!! UK’s best hotel I must say. Highly recommended

Quiet room in Town Centre, clean and comfortable. Staff friendly and welcoming. All good. 4 star review because the re was a buzz in the room constantly from a vent in the ceiling . No air con turned on in room …so a mystery. But it was very grating. But on the whole the experience was a good one.

Clean, comfortable room with everything at hand and close to the town centre with metered car parking opposite. Breakfast was plentiful and varied, hot and tasty.

The only thing that was a little bit odd was the guy looking after the restaurant. He just stool looking at my wife only a few feet away the whole time she was trying to eat breakfast. Seemed nice enough but would rather not have someone's undivided attention whiles eating.

Room has a strong smell of urine and there is a fan on all night (not a/c so can’t be turned off) which makes so much noise, kept me up even with ear plugs. Staff are never around to help. Much prefer the Travelodge in Letchworth

A good central Premier Inn, 15mins walk to station £3.50 taxi. Car park nearby. In the center and close to everything. Very quiet. Good beds and blackout blinds, Aircon. Has restaurant and vending.machine. No USB on bedside tables, so bring an adapter

No hotel parking, so you have to use pay and display car park in front of it. But staff are lovely, rooms are standard premier Inn rooms, not a very big menu for evening food but what they do serve tastes good. I stay here a lot.

Loveliest staff ever. Requested an iron and ironing board and it was in the room waiting. Food was lovely, room was clean and the bed was so comfy.

Really lovely staff, super helpful and friendly. Comfy night sleep and has great air conditioning too in the rooms. Although there is no parking included, there is a car park opposite with free parking overnight, so it works well!

Christmas 2021, had a really noisy fan in the overhead air duct in my original room, thankfully the manager managed to find me a free room to move into. Christmas 2022 update, different room, no noisy fan. Pleasant stay.

Exactly what you would expect. View of carpark from restaurant isn't great, but it is very central. Also good breakfast options for vegans and friendly staff.

One of the best Premier Inns I've stayed in. Quiet, clean and comfortable rooms. Staff are attentive and very friendly. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice on offer. I'm not sure if I'll ever be in Hitchen again, but if I was I would definitely stay here again.

Staff were friendly and welcoming. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was fresh, hot & very tasty. Good value. Parking across the road in public car park worked well. We would definitely stay her again.

Air con broken, no bar (except the mini bar they have, bottles only), no restaurant. Very poor for pem Inn as I stay in them all over the country all year.

Sadly going downhill. The restaurant menu has been slimmed down to bare bones (see photo, make your own judgement). I really wanted to eat there, but not with that limited a choice. The room air-con was broken, requiring a room change.

Arrived late on a Sunday night. Just threw my bag in, showered and went to bed. Could smell something through out the night in the bed but was to tied to investigate . In the morning I decided to hang my clothes up in the open wardrobe and when I opened the draw at the bottom there was an old jumper which absolutely stunk of BO. Disgusting! I reported it to the young girl at reception who had the room cleaned on my return at tea time. I also heard a lady complaining at tea time who had just checked in that there was a dirty pair of socks and underpants on her bathroom floor. The man on reception said he would come and move them but the whole room needed cleaning. Have always enjoyed my stays at that particular Premier Inn but don't think I will stay again. Never seem to see a manager anymore in Premier Inns.

We received a warm welcome and were grateful for being able to store our bags while we went out before check in. Staff were A1 and the hotel was pristine clean. Hard to beat on price and definitely on service. Thanks!

It's just like any other Premier Inn. This statement constitutes 99% of my review. The remaining 1%... I checked in using the machine and was given a disabled access room. Doesn't bother me, it's big! Don't bother with the bar or 'restaurant' (if you can call it that). Its expensive, and the food menu is just Chilli in its many different forms.
