I had a really nice weekend here. The staff is helpful and super friendly. (Luckily) It’s not a luxury campsite but everything is neat and well maintained. The atmosphere is really nice: people talking to each other, the fire in the evening, the music at the dorphuis and there are also various activities to do. There are several (wonderful) vintage caravans/bus. The campsite is in the forest, you are surrounded by the beautiful nature and there are lots of path to do by foot or even by bike. I really enjoyed it, it has become one of my favorite campsites and will definitely return many other times

We did not use the bread service, we found it a bit pricey and there are supermarkets within cycling distance. It is a nice campsite with a large audience around the age of 30-50 and there are various activities in the village square. You do hear the highway in the background and there are also other ambient noises. However, we found the campsite on the more expensive side in terms of price. This is also the reason it gets 4 stars. Toilet block: Good toilet block, with sufficient toilets/showers. The toilets are equipped with toilet paper. The hot shower time is a bit short to wash your hair properly. The jet is not very powerful, but the temperature is good. Surroundings: Beautiful area wooded with beautiful purple heather. You can walk, cycle and mountain bike and Amersfoort is about 5 km by bike. There are also some supermarkets here. It is a beautiful part of the Netherlands in a densely populated area, so you are in a good place for both urban and nature activities. Gelukkig na een belletje mochten wij toch zelf een plekje uitzoeken. (Juist het vrij kiezen van plek trok ons naar deze camping toe). Wij hebben geen gebruik gemaakt van de broodservice, deze vonden wij wat prijzig en er zijn supermarkten op fietsafstand. Het is een leuke camping met veel publiek rond de 30-50 jaar en er zijn verschillende activiteiten op het dorpsplein. Wel hoor je de snelweg op de achtergrond en er zijn ook andere omgevingsgeluiden. Toch vonden wij de camping qua prijs aan de duurdere kant. Dit is ook de reden dat hij 4 sterren krijgt. Toiletgebouw: Goed toiletgebouw, met voldoende toiletten/douches. De toiletten zijn voorzien van toiletpapier. De warme douche tijd is wat kort om je haren goed te wassen. De straal is niet heel krachtig,  maar de temperatuur is goed. Omgeving: Mooie omgeving bosrijk met prachtige paarse heiden. Je kan er wandelen, fietsen en mountainbiken en Amersfoort is op zo'n 5km fietsen. Hier zitten ook enkele supermarkten. Het is een mooi stukje NL in een dicht bevolkt gebied, dus zowel voor stadse en natuuractiviteiten ben je hier op een goede plek.

I was happy to find an original and creative campsite which communicates on an open-minded, friendly philosophy and which invites us to find a place of sharing and fulfillment on our journey... but after being very kindly welcomed by a smiling and friendly team, we are invited to have contact with the owners and this is not a good sign for you! they are not people who come to greet you but on the opposite they come to bark at you because you have done something wrong. Except that they have unfortunately not learned to do it with politeness and diplomacy and this creates a very unpleasant atmosphere. Moreover they do it in Dutch and do not care if you speak another language. After being a military camp for decades, the owners seem to carry that energy with them. It's too bad. I also believe that they don't like dogs and even invite us to leave them at home rather than come with them! Fortunately, the campers are friendly and the toilet block very clean.

Fun camping, with nice and helpful people.

Very nice campsite for campers or hire one of the many of things out offer including a double decker bus. There are some great secluded spots under the trees. Nice vibe and you will hardly see any modern campers. Forest starts at your doorstep, a great MTB trail passing by the camping. Cycling distance to Amersfoort Station and shops. Our kids really liked the national defence museum close by.
