the
people
here
are
very
natural,
well
behaved
and
full
of
life.
If
one
could
describe
them
shortly
there
is
only
one
quote
that
comes
to
mind:
"there
is
beauty
in
simplicity"
People
come
here
for
their
own
reasons,
some
simply
live
here,
love
the
environment,
are
coming
back
to
their
roots,
others
might
want
to
relax,
exercise,
see
the
"Soester
Dunes",
the
forest,
walk
their
dog,
ride
a
horse
or
recover
from
burn-out
related
issues
or
just
because
it
is
a
very
nice
place
to
take
care
of
their
business..
Even
if
you
normally
live
only
15
kilometers
away..,
this
is
the
place
to
be....
All
these
people
and
more..,
they
inhabit
this
forest,
together
with
the
horses
(in
the
stable
of
heroes
and
in
the
field),
cows
(who
are
surprisingly
funny
in
the
early
morning),
chickens
(who
are
early
birds)
in
a
place
where
one
can
simply
walk
and
not
get
lost..,
no
matter
where..,
if
you
walk
or
ride
a
bike
for
just
2
miles
in
one
direction
you
will
always
come
across
asphalt
which
easily
allows
you
to
come
back
here..
You
can
stumble
across,
deer
(them
being
startled
at
first but
if
given
some
time..,
after
being
done..,
being
startled..,
they
come
back
again
and
are
quite
curious),
squirrels
(who
fluff
their
tails,
when
looking
around
and
or
are
chasing
each
other,
up
and
down
the
trees
and
at
the
same
time,
are
being
very
vocal
about
it,
towards
each
other),
starlings
(which
somehow
can
catch
bumblebees
in
mid-air),
blackbirds
(that
have
not
sung
the
same
again),
robins
(which
once
given
enough
time,
come
within
arm’s
length),
mammoth
trees
(which
are
quite
unlike,
something
resembling
a
mammoth)
Sand
Dunes
(which
are
the
almost
illustrious
trademark
item
to
this
place)
and
"Short
Duyns"
and
the
real
deal
the
“Soester
Duynen"
are
more
than
worth
the
time.
All
of
this
can
be
experienced
from
Duynparc
Soest,
not
to
mention
that
it
is
close
to
the
“Bosbad”
the
“Monickenbosch”
it
is
only
a
12
kilometer
hike
or
bike
ride
to
Soesterberg
(former
air
force
base
–
now
turned
into
an
astonishing
nature
reserve enclosing
the national
military
museum)
You
can
visit
the
friendly
village
of
Soest
with
nice
places
like
“Sabrosa”
everything
is
reachable,
without
ever
thinking
about,
ever
having
required
a
having
a
car..,
Here
you
are
free
and
can
use
your
feet or
a
bike
and
experience
all
the
relaxation
yourself.
The
fun
for
your
children
&
yourself
(after
your
children
are
already having
fun..,
if
any)
does
not
stop
here..,
If
you
like
you
can
also
visit
the
old
medieval
city
of
Amersfoort
on
an
8
minute
bus
ride.
You
have
good
opportunity
to
look
at
the
historic
city
as
well
as
shop
there
if
desirable..
You
are
close
to
Utrecht
which
is
a
bustling
city
with
everything
desirable..
possibly..
Yes,
it
has
been
a
very
pleasant
2
weeks..
which
are
not
yet…
but
(regrettably)
almost
coming
to
a
grateful
end..
i
have
another
chapter
in
working
to
get
myself
back
responsibly....
