Amazing concept and great Indian food. Would recommend visiting... And having space in your stomach to eat ALL the dishes in their thalis :) Saakshi was very sweet, as were all the others - and compliments to the chef for the specials 👏🏼

The restaurant offers an elaborate presentation of Indian cuisine, but unfortunately, the flavors felt muddled … a mix of everything without any standout character. While the staff was friendly and attentive, the overall experience didn’t justify the higher-than-average prices. They serve only 3 set menu (vegan, vegetarian or Meat+fish) which limits choice and may not suit everyone’s taste. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Nirvana Kitchen in Leuven offers a unique take on the traditional Thali. They have three options - vegetarian, non-vegetarian, and vegan - and you can even customize your Thali if you don't like a specific dish. I swapped out the fish in my non-vegetarian Thali for cheese bites from the vegetarian one, and it was no problem at all! The butter chicken and lamb were delicious, and the duck samosa was a unique and tasty surprise. The food was definitely worth the slightly higher price tag. The staff were friendly, and the service was great. Just make sure to book a table in advance as it tends to get busy. There is a nearby parking if you come by car or the station is just 700 m walk

This is the best Indian restaurant I’ve ever been! That tastes was amazing! It brought perfect experiences for different types of flavors combinations, and the chef is definitely the genius of spices! I’ve been to India but the food here is IMPRESSIVE! This is my boyfriend’s favorite restaurant in Leuven and now it’s also mine! Every thing is not big but they are so flavorful, every bite brings out new surprises. But the whole meal makes us super full and satisfied! We highly recommend ordering different meals, and share them together. The price is not cheap but we are willing to pay for it! The girl who served us was also really nice, we appreciated it:) I think the only cons of the restaurant is the space is kinda small. On that day, I had a long flight before the food so I couldn’t eat too much, so unfortunately I couldn’t finish the rice😭but I hope one day I can have it again!

I've only tried Indian food 2 or 3 times before but this one is truly memorable. It's a wonderful food experience. My friend and I got the vegetarian and vegan menu. I was curious about the pork dish on their meat menu and the restaurant accommodated me by letting me switch the cheese dish for the pork. I was really happy about this. We got to taste lots of different flavors. I wish I was more hungry coming in because I couldn't finish everything. Next time I will save a lot of space to fully enjoy the food here. Their mojito is nice too, really refreshing. I appreciate that the staff explained what everything was and for some particular dishes, how to eat certain things. If you have something to celebrate, definitely consider this place.

Was an amazing experience! I love the simplicity of ordering a menu and we get to try a large variety of things. The experience was great. I asked for Indian spicy and the flavour was bang on!

The most enjoyable part of the restaurant was the service by the young guy. However, I’m now certain that many positive reviews about the restaurant’s food on Google do not necessarily mean that the food will be of a high standard, especially when you have tried many other Indian restaurants that offer better quality. A tasting of six very questionable dishes on small plates for 40 euros per person, where you have to pay extra for dessert, is not a great idea. It was interesting to try once, but I’m sure we won’t be coming back here. P.S. It would be nice to have an English menu, considering the large number of English-speaking customers.

It was worth every penny. I suggest you get the dessert after the thaalis, they were exquisite. And also Red Mojito. It was amazing. I have not had such a pleasant experience in terms of taste and presentation in any Indian restaurant before this. Thank you for having us.

Lovely place with helpful friendly staff. The tasting menu style meal was all delicious and it was nice not have to make too many decisions! They brought me my food promptly but I never felt rushed. I had the vegetarian option and it had a diversity of flavors and textures with excellent seasoning. I wasn’t quite able to finish everything because I was full - I found it to be a generous amount of food!

They do not sell food, they sell an experience! The naan was divine and the food course takes you on a beautiful journey through indian flavors. A little bit on the pricier side but extremely worth it. One word to describe this place would be: exquisite!

The experience was great. The waitress was kind and explained the menu and made life easier for us . She was from Kolkata i guess . Nice lady and good service . She recommended Thali . It was perfect and totally worth it. I recommend this restaurant if you want to try indian with european style of food.

If you’re looking for an authentic Indian dining experience in Leuven, Nirvana Kitchen is a must-visit. It’s my 4th time eating here and the food never ceases to surprise, the seasonal changing menu is a game-changer. The staff is super friendly and they take really good care of you. One of the highlights of the menu is the Thali, a beautifully arranged platter that lets you experience a variety of flavors in one meal. We tried the vegan and vegetarian option, each dish is carefully prepared and full of rich, authentic spices.

We had reserved this restaurant for our anniversary and we absolutely loved it. The food was delicious and unique accompanied by detailed explanations. We were treated like royals by the friendly staff. They even gave us a suprise dessert for our celebration. What a special night!

My friend and I had dinner in this restaurant yesterday and it was an experience that delighted all our senses. When we got to the place it was fully booked; I checked in advance the availability and I knew this but something within me was telling me that Indian welcoming energy will figure things out I was so right. The host was a lovely man that did his best to accommodate us outside at first and soon found a table inside. The dishes was so savoury, the staff nice and welcoming. My friend who was on a work trip in Belgium said at the end: now I wanna come from Germany back to Leuven only for this restaurant. I couldn’t agree more. Everything was just perfect!
