Beautiful green oasis in the center of Leuven. I really loved the big sequoia tree and the wisteria trees. There were some amazing smells of the flowers also. We just spent some time here walking around and taking a break on some of the benches here
The Botanical Garden is a true haven of peace and beauty. Hosting an incredible diversity of exotic and local plants, it offers a unique sensory experience. The well-maintained paths and stunning greenhouses allow visitors to explore nature's wonders. Perfect for a relaxing stroll or a family outing, it's an ideal place to connect with nature and learn about different plant species. A must-visit for nature lovers.
The Kruidtuin (botanical garden) in Leuven is a peaceful spot with plenty to see. The gardeners were very busy in early March both on the grounds and inside the large greenhouse. There are statues scattered around the garden and even benches next to a pond. Highly recommend paying the gardens a visit and look forward to returning later in their year when there is more in bloom. Entrance is free
The entry to garden is free. You will find lots of plants and trees which maintain its beauty. Well maintained garden. Very Silent place. If you like plants and trees, you can visit this place.
Very old and rich of plants botanical garden. I expected it to be bigger.
A wonderful spot in Leuven to spend an afternoon! Entrance is free and there are plenty of benches for sitting and enjoying the views throughout the park. It is very well maintained with a variety of plants to admire. There are free restrooms within the park. There is a large outdoor section as well as two indoor areas, one of which is a greenhouse with tropical plants (though one seems to be under renovation and does not have much inside).
The botanical garden of Leuven is one of my favorite places. First of all, it’s free. Secondly, it offers an incredible variety of flowers and plants throughout the year! You can really see the garden living and changing day by day—quite amazing! I've discovered some really fascinating plants there, including some rare ones from the Philippines. It's also a charming place if you just want to relax. We've even seen people working there; it's such a pleasant environment overall. I've been visiting this garden for almost three years, and I never get tired of it.❤️
Well maintained garden with greenhouse containing many flowers cacti. Tulips are beautiful
A green oasis especially on a warm day. If you need a quiet bench in the shade and some green beauty this is a lovely garden to sit and relax. I even learned some new gardening and composting techniques.
The botanical garden itself is truly beautiful and peaceful – a lovely place to walk and relax. But sadly, there’s a bird cage with exotic birds kept in a small enclosure, and that completely ruins the experience for me. A place that promotes nature and biodiversity should not be keeping animals in captivity, especially not in such conditions. It’s disappointing and feels completely out of place. That’s why I can only give one star.
Beautiful botanical gardens. We had a nice time visiting and enjoying the garden.
Holy moly! Completely stumbled upon this garden whilst walking around Leuven without any plan. It is BEAUTIFUL! Huge variety of flora and fauna plus sculptures dotted around. The grounds are easy to navigate as well as indoor areas such as greenhouses. There is even a compost space! It was so peaceful and lovely, I am so happy I accidentally happened upon it!
Really nice and free to visit! Loved walking thru the indoor section most, but there's a load of plants outside aswell. Definitely visit when you're in the city!
We love it. It's great to spend some quiet time with the kids or alone. Perfect place to study or read or just to relax.
Beautiful place to visit at this time in the year. The bathrooms were clean, there was plenty of benches to sit in. My only problem was too many people trying to get pictures and not minding getting in the way of everybody else.
Wonderful garden. We’ve enjoy our frequent visits. Each trip shows a new bloom.
Supertuin om te vertoeven. Dikke pluim aan de ploeg die deze tuin steeds piekfijn onderhoudt.
