My partner and I had a lovely time staying at Hotel Villa Steno. Mateo, Carla, and the entire staff were friendly, helpful, and a general pleasure to be around. The hotel itself was in a great location, the views are incredible, our room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast bar had many delicious options too! To top if all off, my partner and I celebrated a big life moment there and the staff went out of their way to make it absolutely unforgettable. Thank you so much for your hospitality -- we can't wait to come back!

From start to finish our stay here was amazing. The service from Mateo, Carla and their staff was incredible - so warm and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. They were extremely welcoming, and during Carla’s cooking class (which I can thoroughly recommend) they went out of their way to make our 6 year old daughter feel included. The rooms are very nice - spotlessly clean, very comfortable beds and everything you could need to make your stay perfect (small fridge, room safe, plenty of hanging space, very nice toiletries, plenty of towels, good air conditioning- the list goes on). The room we had also had a very nice outdoor space looking out over the town with loungers and a small table. They also have a very nice terrace on the hillside above the hotel, where you can spend time having drinks. I’d thoroughly recommend staying here if you are in Monterosso, and hope to be back one day!

This beautiful hotel is located on the hillside of Monterosso. The view from our room was amazing. The room was modern, very clean and quiet. We enjoyed delicious breakfast every morning. Be sure to try lemon cakes or jams. We also had lunch there. It was the best pesto pizza we have every had. There is a little walking path that takes to the heart of town. But the best thing about this hotel, is the customer service. Even before we arrived, Ines helped us arrange transport to the hotel (not really walkable with luggage), and provided restaurant suggestions. She also made dinner reservations for us at Torre Aurora which was one of her suggested restaurants. It was fantastic. Delicious food with an amazing view. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for 5 star service.

Out of our two week trip to Italy, Villa Steno was by far our best stay! All of the staff is extremely friendly and endlessly helpful. They will aide you with any request (reservations, taxis, etc) and provide every amenity you could want (breakfast, lunch, affordable laundry service, wine, panoramic terrace, etc). The rooms are sparkling clean and very comfortable, the location is perfectly nestled in the old town portion of Monterosso, and the views are incredible! Could not recommend enough!

we had an amazing stay with Carla and Mateo at the Hotel Villa Steno. The room was comfortable and cool with in-room coffee and a great bathroom. Breakfast was wonderful, homemade lemon jam, lemon cake (those really stand out) and much more to choose from. We also did the cooking class which was my favorite part, making pasta and pesto from scratch, helping season the sea bass and then enjoying all of it for dinner. I'm not sure I've ever enjoyed a night in a hotel more!

If Villa Steno doesn't have availability during your trip, you should reschedule for when they do :) Everything about this place is magical. The views from the rooftop terrace and balconies are breathtaking - we highly recommend getting a bottle of wine and relaxing on the rooftop terrace. The rooms are spotless. Breakfast on the balcony is wonderful and the best way to start the day. And the laundry service was invaluable to us, as we arrived after 8 fast-paced days in Rome and Florence! Carla & Matteo are the definition of hospitable. They and the staff helped us with taxis, restaurant recommendations and reservations, booking beach chairs in advance, and more. Ines was particularly helpful in coordinating our arrival from the train station. We had a late train out and were able to leave our luggage at Villa Steno, spend the day at the beach, and shower before our train thanks to the full bathroom available to guests in the lobby. We also had a delicious lunch on the balcony before leaving (the pizza & pesto pasta were fabulous). Thank you for an amazing stay and we can't wait to come back!

Best hotel stay of our Italy trip by far! Breakfast was wonderful, the hotel and room was clean and updated. They owners put on a cooking class for us that was amazing. There is a great view from the location. We were even able to get laundry done during our stay! I don’t like to go to the same place twice, but I’d go out of my way to stay here again.

This was our second stay with Matteo and Carla at Hotel Villa Steno. They are the finest people on the planet. They treated us like we were their best friends and made us feel so welcomed. The two of them and their staff were so accommodating through out our 4 night stay. They arranged all of our meals and a private boat tour with Stefano. Joshua and Ines at the front desk and Jaqueline serving breakfast deserve a lot of credit. The Hotel rooms are perfect and clean, the terrace up stairs has amazing views to enjoy a prepared snack or meal and a bottle of wine. I would highly recommend a stay at Hotel Villa Steno. By far the best hotel experience in Europe! Ciao from Kevin & Monica
