Beautiful estate. You won't regret. Wear very comfortable shoes, there is lots and lots of walking. Plenty of places to grab a quick bite or dine. To save few bucks bring your own food but you will have to leave it in your car. No big backpacks are allowed inside the house. You can easily spend 4-6 hours without realizing when the time went. The price may seems little high but it's worth every penny.

If you're in the area and love historical architecture this is definitely a must visit. Tip: If you go after 4:30pm you can buy your ticket for the next day but get access to all the exterior gardens and terraces that evening. This was perfect for me. I walked around and enjoyed all the outside areas when it was cooler late in the afternoon. By this time there's usually not many people left walking around. Makes for great photos! I did the main house self guided tour and added the Rooftops and Stairs tour. It was absolutely worth it to take the extra tour and see areas of the house you do not get to see on the regular tour. I added the Monet & Friends experience and was a little disappointed with it. I thought there would be actual artwork on display. It was a unique digital experience that was cool but I would prefer to see artists original work. There is free wine tasting at the Winery and it's by appointment only. There's a QR code in the brochure they give you when you purchase tickets. There's a pretty good chance you can get in after your tours. Just scan it when you arrive in the morning and select your time. Hope you enjoy as much as I did!

Pictures do not do this place justice. Just an amazing and beautiful place. Lots of parking where you can either walk or take a trolley to the estate. Make sure you get your timed entry tickets. If you can try to eat at The Stables restaurant on site. The audio tour is a great add on to explain all the different rooms throughout the Manson. Get to see how the rich, old money rich, people lived. Every room has amazing architect and amazing pieces of furniture. The swimming pool down stairs was just ridiculous. You get to see how the help lived and how the ran and maintained the house. It takes a few hours to take the tour. After going through house you can walk around the grounds. Very easy to spend a whole day here and still may not see everything. I hear Christmas is a great time to come, but the spring flowers were wonderful too. Make some plans and take a visit to this place, we'll worth your time!

Beautiful! Pricey for a tour, but its gorgeous! We got the audio tour which I high recommend, we went when they were decorated for Christmas and I am so happy we did. For us this is a once in a lifetime thing to see it and it was so worth it! Beautiful mansion on and even more beautiful view of the land they own. The drive to the house was long but beautiful! The food was pretty good and the little shops are adorable!

We have visited the Biltmore Estate many times over the years. We find it is beautiful and fascinating, whatever time we visit. The scale of the house is grand and the furnishings are beautiful. While the home is great there is also the grounds which are unbelievable and a very nice winery on the property. Whenever we are in the area we always try to stop in and have never been disappointed.

We visited on a Monday morning and purchased our tickets in advance which made the process incredibly smooth. We parked in Lot C and utilized the bus service to take us to the Estate! I highly recommend taking a tour inside as it is truly breathtaking and only takes about 1.5 hrs. I also recommend, if it’s not too hot, walking around the gardens as they are very well kept and indescribably beautiful! To the right of the estate are a few cute shops and a few places to get some food that is actually quite decent! Anyone can easily spend a whole day here and I recommend everyone check it out!

This is a really cool place to visit. It's like going back in time. I also loved how everything was decorated for Christmas. I love history and hearing all the stories. I wish I would have gone around the middle of October because the fall colors would have been amazing on the drive through the mountains and also at the estate. I wish I would have known about the restaurants on the estate. I guess that gives me a good reason to return.

An absolute BLAST! Never before have I been treated so nicely and so consistently. Everyone here are happy and helpful, I'm truly amazed at everyone and everything here. The village, Estate, and the property are in the best of shape and the upkeep is beautiful. Top quality in everything that's done here. Take the time out and visit. You'll feel like a million dollars the whole time. Came in the end of August, and the weather was beautiful, but I also come from a hotter state, so make sure to check up with the weather.

The Biltmore Candlelight viewing was incredible! We enjoyed every single second there. It was the last stop on our road trip. I would definitely recommend the audio guide and take the time to hear about the history. We had our grandmother, who had to use a wheelchair. She easily accessed the first and second floor. We found out additional rooms are available in the evening. We were able to go to the third floor and the lower basement area. The wheelchair couldn’t go to the third floor or the basement, but they had a video room for individuals who couldn’t walk through the additional levels. This has been a very long road trip. We made amazing family memories together that will last a lifetime. Make sure to add this stop to your list of places to visit. Hopefully, we can come back in the future.❤️

I enjoyed this experience much more than I was expecting. The whole property is so elegant and well maintained. We had a lot of fun visiting the shops for candy and mementos. They have a lot of options. The Christmas decor was amazing and the audio tour is a must. They give you a small device that you easily use for each room and get all the history. Yes, this is over the top but that's the entire point. It's the most incredible house you'll ever see and I'm so happy they've maintained it this well!

You could easily pack a day full of activities here. The house and garden tours are a worthwhile experience getting to learn the history of the house and see the pomp, and also the tropical flowers and orchids at the conservatory. The tickets come with complimentary wine tastings. We went after November so got to see the Christmas decor.

What a great experience! Walking through this beautiful estate was like going back in time! Kudos to the curators for keeping this amazing piece of American history alive! The restaurants on the estate we also liked. Overall one of the high points of this year!

Amazing Tour. There's a lot of walking to do indoors and outdoors. The self guided audio tour of the house explains everything you need to know about the house. You can take your time and learn. I went on a Sunday and it was busy, so if you can go during the week, do it. There are amazing walking trails around and the winery. Highly recommend purchasing your tickets in advance.

The house was fantastic. The history and insight into past history and society is wonderful. They need more signage. Many people have traveled a fair distance and the closest bathrooms to the parking lots are in the stables. But there's nothing to indicate which way the stables or gardens are, even once you get where you can see the house. And there was only one staff member at the entrance down to the house. Also, there's a trolley between the house and the parking lots. However, it doesn't serve Lots A & B, and that isn't clear. Granted it's a relatively short walk, but not for someone with bad knees, especially coming back after going up and down the stairs in the house.

Biltmore Mansion is a great example of wealth and power. On my third visit I was able to see the changes that happened because of the times we live in. It was beautiful. Girls trip that included 3 ladies that had not been before. I was very pleasantly surprised by the updates to the Christmas decorations. My sister n love, loves Christmas and I don't think she would have enjoyed the visit had she been present with me years ago on my second visit during the Christmas season. My favorite room is the tapestry room. Also that gingerbread house was absolutely beautiful. We also got to tour the winery and because the weather was drizzly and very cool we didn't tour the grounds. So we took in the Italian Renaissance. Again an added bonus for the weekend. I say farewell to this wonderful monument of greatness. Perhaps my last time visiting. Recommend it highly.

Beautiful house. We bought tickets for an early tour. I loved that they have an audio tour just for kids. It wasn't too crowded and the audio tour is nicely paced. The staff are very helpful and so pleasant. We would definitely come back to see some of the behind the scenes tours and to see the gardens in bloom, but we loved seeing the holiday decorations!

I plan to go back to this place. Full of history and interesting facts. It's a self led tour with phones provided that have curators giving you the history of each room in the home turned museum. There are also winery's to do wine tasting and you're able to purchase a bottle or 2. The grounds are well kept and beautiful. This attraction is a must see.

Very beautiful and historic place. I think the tickets are a bit expensive for what it is, but still worth checking out at least once. The gardens weren’t full bloom when we went, but still pretty. The estate itself is the most interesting part to me. The library is a dream and the dining hall is huge. The guides tell you interesting facts and stories if you ask. Everyone was happy to be there. Complimentary wine tasting was great, definitely schedule a time for that.

If you're a AAA member try to purchase ahead of your arrival the discount isn't much, but every little bit helps. Great experience altogether, if you decide to go..try to remember there's more to the high cost of the ticket than just the tour of the castle. It's an all inclusive ticket with included parking, shuttles, an included wine tasting, and access to almost all of the 8000 acres. Try to soak up the entire estate and get your money's worth! Hike the grounds, experience the botanical gardens, walk to the river, and soak in the views of wide ranges of natural geography. If you want the shuttle ride up to the front lawn of the castle park in lots C, D, or E. If you park in lots A or B, you'll have to hoof it. We didn't mind walking, but if you have friends and family members who may have mobility challenges, park in C, D, or E. The house itself was beyond impressive. The basement was probably the most impressive level altogether. There in the basement I was able to indirectly connect with the staff who worked tirelessly to maintain the home as they lived there within it. The Halloween room tells the story of who owned the land prior to Vanderbilt's purchase, and how the exchange was executed. Great photo opportunities galore! Incredible Staff Included amenities are worth it. 84 bucks with AAA discount Worth it. I thought it it was pricey at first ...but that ended as soon as I arrived.

I would normally give this 4 stars just because of the cost, but from May through September they offer kids under 17 free! Awesome. It is a great place to visit. They are continually adding more things to do. You could easily spend a weekend without ever leaving the grounds. With 3 kids, we can get through the house tour in 1 1/2 hours using the audio tour. You can do it faster or much slower. We hike the trails and visit all the garden areas. The petting zoo is also great.

Lovely experience here at the Biltmore estate. Tickets are a little pricey, just above a hundred dollars. However they included a two day entrance to the grounds, a wine tasting at the winery, and an audio tour of the estate. The grounds are beautiful and you could spend an entire day just walking around. The estate is so grand and somehow also the most modern estate I’ve toured. Really so lovely and would recommend going when you’re in the area.

I would recommend visiting this place. The architecture and style is something rarely seen in America. It was like walking through a royal estate in Europe. A little pricey but well worth the money. There are many stairs but you can move at your own pace. The audio guide is easy to use and is pretty informative. Being winter the grounds were not very green, but the garden conservatory made up for it. The plants in there were gorgeous.

Candlelight experience is outstanding. Includes the audio tour. They are running shuttles from lots. Our tour was 6:45pm, but got into house at 6:30. Evening tour was beautiful. All the trees and lights were beautiful. If you arrive after 4:30pm you can come back the next day to tour the gardens, the winery and shops.

Beautiful estate! I went there last year in the winterish time and it was pretty cold mostly because of the mountains. Overall it was a beautiful place! Food was delicious the balcony had an amazing VIEW! Recommend it for explorers, researchers or just a family trip. I went there as a field trip tho.

I didn't expect to enjoy this as much as I did! We took the self guided tour with listening devices and were able to enjoy this with no rush. So beautiful! There were multiple families touring at the same time and the kids did well although I don't think it's somewhere I would've taken my own kids. We enjoyed the drive through the estate to the wine tasting. John was great at guiding us through each option. Shopping was very pleasant and Carl helped us decide on our favorites as well as the best way to save to get the most bang for our buck. The gift shops were great too! We each purchased an ornament for a souvenir.

Worth the price of admission!! This was my first time here and it was so beautiful I will be coming back the next trip. We had a great time exploring the home and grounds. Show up early so that you can walk the property, there is so much to do. We showed up later and didn’t get to do half of what there was to do. The staff was just setting up for Christmas & it was absolutely beautiful! I can’t wait to come back!

This building, and the grounds in general, was amazing. The tour must only go through approximately one third of the house though. Everywhere we looked there were additional hallways, corridors, and even higher floors that were not part of the tour. Considering how old the estate is, it was really surprising how lavish it was both then and now. Staff were very courteous and knowledgeable. If you have even a passing interest in The Biltmore then it is a worthwhile trip.

Absolutely magical!!! The beauty and the architecture were breathtaking but listening to the audio tour describe every room we went through was icing on the cake! We left and couldn't stop talking about it on the hour drive back to the cabin. Yes, it's worth the price and yes, it's worth the extra $15 for the audio tour!!!! Don't forget your free wine tasting too!! (You have to reserve it once you arrive) Our bartender (John I believe) was incredibly friendly and personable not mention answered all of our questions about different types of wines. He even helped pick out our list of tastings he thought we each enjoy based on what we told him we each liked! 5 stars all the way around!! Only thing I would do differently is try to go at night next time! They say the Christmas lights are incomparable.!!

Very easy to spend a full day on these grounds - I was surprised by how much my teenage son and my little kids got into this visit. The house is impressive engineering, the gardens are gorgeous. The self audio tour is actually very good, even the kids loved it. The flow is fairly easy and the history behind the construction very interesting. Also recommend the rooftop tour: our guide was very knowledgeable and the views are breathtaking. Had lunch in the old stables which is quite fun and worth it. Definitely a unique experience

Americas largest privately owned estate or house. A whopping 250 rooms and architectural marvel with well planned layout almost 125 years ago. In addition to the estate castle you can enjoy 8000 acres of ground including a little winery village. Ticket costs $110 for a self guided tour including interiors. I think it is too pricy for the tour having visited much more fancy ones in Europe. Arrangements are well done for parking and tour. You can walk around in the gardens at the back of the castle and also garden on the way to winery village. There is also a Deer park if it is interesting. Worth a visit if you like historic places and enjoy royal walk.

Beautiful property, lots of amazing plants and scenery in the gardens, conservatory, and trails. There is a very nice waterfall down some of the trails you can see it is sort of secluded. There is a wide variety of flora which are all worth looking at and taking a few photos. The building itself is very amazing. The self walking tour uses cool audio guides with a sort of "phone" system. Once you get to a new room/area, you use the system to "dial" a new number (1 through 20 or so) and there are a few different voices/guides who give different facts about that area. It is interesting to see how George Vanderbilt lived and wanted his house to be like. Very interesting and worth the money.

When living out-of state, the trip was not complete without a visit to Biltmore Estate. It was beautiful and always enjoyable. Now that we live here, an Annual Pass is a must! We enjoy visiting in the evenings when the tourists have left and walk our dog. It is very peaceful and not very many people. I love nature and thoroughly enjoy walking the Gardens and outside the Conservatory. Because it is not crowded in the evenings, I can really take my time to explore the nooks outside the Conservatory and examine potted arrangements. It has become one of my favorite spots!

The Biltmore estate has an impressive scale of the house, gardens and property. Friendly and knowledgeable staff and you can tell they take pride in their contributions towards the estate. The self guided tour was simple and informational. Gardens were beautiful. Worth the price of admission. Kids loved it. Good meal at The Stable restaurant and plenty of places to shop. Parking was easy and there are shuttle buses that go around the estate if you decide at any time you have had enough waking for the day.

An awesome castle. Seeing something built so lavish and with such care and thought is a great experience to have. Seeing all the classic estate features and just how it doesnt end is very memorable and romantic. Walking with your partner in the garden is just perfect. Good food and a Gem of the smokies

I could write a small book here. Just check out their website and see for yourself. Will definitely plan at least a week for my next trip and definitely do some horseback riding and more walking. Took more photos here than most places I've visited. I took tons of the inside of the home but they are restricted to personal use only! So go see for yourself. Oh and definitely do the Wine tour and tasting! Also, highly recommend you purchase tickets online and have them ready when driving through security as this is private property and tickets are required to even drive in the gate.

Amazing opportunity to experience an iconic American mansion/estate. Hospitality is top notch, food is amazing, the house is stunning, and the activities and shopping areas are expansive. Beautiful any time of year, but Christmas is particularly great. Great for kids, couples, families, singles, everyone. Lots of trails for walking and biking. Horse carriage and trail rides are available as well. The playground and petting zoo are great for kids. Going without seeing the home is still great, but be sure to see the home at least once.

Beautiful place...the house was larger and more elegant than anything I have ever seen, including castles in England. The gardens were phenomenal, and the walks through the natural landscapes were amazing. Everything was very well organized, even with the number of visitors they had. I'm glad we allowed for two days as there was so much to see

We were there for our 10th wedding anniversary... Lovely home! Not crowded at all. Most of the staff was very friendly. Some were very rude and not so friendly, but they didn't take away from experience. Didn't think they should be tearing down Christmas while we were trying to visit and see the beautiful rooms. I think that should have been done after hours. Just my opinion.

Enough cannot be said about this breathtaking estate. If you're unfamiliar with Biltmore, please know that is is so much more than just a house. It is a massive estate with a beautiful little village and winery. While I have to admit its features best pop in the summer on their incredible grounds, the holiday magic they work to create is quite a sight. Come here and plan to spend the day touring the house and grounds, evening at the winery, and night at the Inn or Hotel. Anything less is a missed opportunity and experience.

Very awesome place to visit. The Christmas decorations are some of the best I have ever seen. Its worth the price to visit. The conservatory is a must see and the views are amazing. Since I visited in the winter the gardens weren't as great as the usually are but I still enjoyed it. If you go make sure to also make time for the trails, winery and Antler Hill.

This place is amazing. This is my second time coming and I plan another trip soon. Every trip seems to be a little different! There are some things I didn’t experience the last time! It’s so overwhelming; that’s how big the property is and there is so much to do. I’m so happy I got to come with my love and my puppy. They allow your pets with you to the outside garden’s but pet’s are not welcome inside the house. Also pet’s cannot go on the shuttle so be sure to take comfortable walking shoes. This place is a bit pricey so save your pennies.

Beautiful estate, worth the visit! We spent our whole day here checking out the historic property. We did a self guided tour with the pamphlet and there were even guides posted in rooms around the house willing to share their knowledge. Masks are required for everyone's safety, please mask properly for those around you and be respectful and you'll enjoy your trip. Everyone in the house socially distanced and respectfully waited for a room to clear before going in so as to not over crowd one another. So take your time when going, don't try to do this in a rush. Also one last thing you've got to buy timed tickets ahead of time right now, but not to worry as you'll have plenty of time to see the whole house.

A French Renaissance-style mansion that, when built, was the world’s largest residence. The Gilded Age (1870–1900) was a period of rapid economic growth and conspicuous wealth in the US. None came wealthier than George Washington Vanderbilt II, whose childhood visits to Asheville, North Carolina, inspired him to build his own summer estate there. Designed by New York architect Richard Morris Hunt, Biltmore is modeled on the French châteaux of the Loire Valley, as well as the Rothschild-owned Waddesdon Manor in England. With 179,000 square ft (16,600 square m) of floor space, the 250-room, four-story house has steeply pitched roofs, turrets and towers, and sculptural ornamentation. Construction began in 1889 and continued into 1896. No expense was spared, as Biltmore was designed for an opulent, gilded age.

The Biltmore estate is extremely beautiful. The tickets to get in are a bit expensive... To see actual castles in Europe are cheaper than the entrance ticket to Biltmore. We visited at Christmas and the decorations were amazing. Lots of people here even during the Covid restrictions. The craft demos at the farm were super fun to see.

Also, for adults who enjoy drinking wine, don’t forget to also visit Antler Hill Village and the Winery to enjoy wine tastings that are included with your admission ticket.

Amazing turn-of-the-(20th)-century mansion of George Vanderbilt. What "price doesn't matter" could do 125 years ago.

I just wanted to take a quick second and say Dana was amazing today! She took us on our roof top tour and it was just me and my husband she made the day. 10/10 would recommend her for tours. Such a sweet lady!❤️

Such a beautiful experience! My boyfriend and I visited October 2020 and it was very cold and rainy and the flowers weren't in full bloom yet it was still so many things to see. We went to the winery and loved the energy during the wine tasting. All staff wore proper PPE. Would come back again!

Always awe inspiring, such a beautiful place especially realizing all the carving was hand done

  • 2/5 Stephen S. 3 years ago on Google
Great place, grounds and audio tour. But this place must be a super spreader opportunity in the works—- people on top of one another and the timed entry didn’t spare large amounts of people tailing us the whole tour. They had windows open on in some rooms, but there were still 15-20 people in each. Likewise, the workers get in your face to communicate with you about directions.

  • 5/5 Roberto Z. 3 years ago on Google
Great place ....need a full day to enjoy the full experience, its not just the mansion....

  • 5/5 Robert P. 3 years ago on Google
Just an amazing home. Every time we go, as Passholders, we learn something new. Yes Covid protocols have changed things, but the tour is still intriguing. Do the headphones if its your first or only time to visit for detailed information on the house and the family. Shops are open, restaurants restricted, but the grounds are open to walk and enjoy.

It was a great trip that brings back memories of my childhood. I’m from NC and took the trip as an elementary school student. My wife is from NYC and had never been. Phenomenal piece of history and great exercise for stagnant kids. I’d like to come back in the spring to see the gardens and the views when all the flowers are in bloom. I recommend coming here even if it’s just for the views of the mountains.

  • 5/5 Erin M. 3 years ago on Google
The price is a little high, but you get a lot for the money. Audio tour of the house really made it more impacting. The Vanderbilt mansion was exquisite with the sheer size, details in every aspect, and immaculate presentation. The shops are cute but a little small. Did not eat here, but may next time. I want to return in warner weather to better take in the gardens. Have already been recommending to friends.

Love this place the grounds house it's amazing what they had in the early 1900 Built in. the library was so beautiful all those books the woodwork and fire place were grand so many rooms and we only saw a portion would have loved if someone was guiding us and speaking about each room we saw . I know they had the audio tour but even that many people were not happy but I still enjoyed the visit will do. It again in summer to see the full beauty of the garden

I would give 5 stars but the bus driver wouldnt give a ride to a woman with a walking cane or my daughter with a knee scooter. When I asked why not he made it clear he was the driver of the bus and he said so. Was very rude. I waited in the cold with my daughter and the woman while my son in law and her husband walked back to the parking lot to get the cars. 5th time to Biltmore for me and was very disappointed in the way he treated us. The house itself was great. Was told once the elevator goes into disrepair that it will not be repaired due to cost so anyone who is handicapped will only get to go to the first floor of the Biltmore

Beautiful. Tickets are about 69 with tax for a single adult to do a self guided tour. I recommend sneakers no heels for walking. Bring walking sticks the hills are pretty steep. Being a fanny pack no purses allowed. Also schedule your tour about 2 hours out from arrival so you have time to walk the landscape. I did 3 with time to double back to my car for lunch.

  • 4/5 The Odd W. 3 years ago on Google
Beautiful estate and grounds. Everything is expensive. You have been warned! Plenty of parking and the free shuttle up to the house is fun. Drivers are nice and tell you fun facts about the history of the estate and the family. The website makes it seem like you need a full day there to do and see everything. You don’t! You can easily see everything in about 2 hours plus the time it takes to tour the mansion. Don’t forget to look up at the ceilings, they are so glamorous. The wine tasting is fun so definitely try that.

I love the Biltmore, and during covid I think they have done a good job setting up times for individual groups so as not to get to many people packed in. The staff ,for the most part, is also very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. If you have never gone, you really should. It is absolutely beautiful, and the history of the house is fascinating. However, and this is in case someone from Biltmore is looking, please add more rooms to the self guide tour. I would personally be okay with even seeing some rooms that still need restoration, just to get a feel for the whole house. I know you guys offer more tours, that show more, but there is a lot of house and I would personally love to see more of it.

Really enjoyed visiting here! It was a wonderful experience. Make sure to check out the winery, explore Antler Hill Village and gardens. They have a lot of activities to do including hiking, biking, and walking trails. Keep in mind the complimentary wine tasting have limited availability. Make your reservation as soon as you arrive online. They have complimentary parking and have shuttles that drop you off in front of the beautiful mansion. Tickets are pricey but it’s worth it! Would love to come back again when I’m in town.

Beautiful mansion. Gorgeous grounds. The headphones provided a great history of the home. Enjoy the gardens as well! Worth the price! Make sure you visit the winery as well.

Absolutely breathtaking estate. You need more than one day to see all of it - so better plan ahead. Biltmore House is a very thoughtful self-audio-guided tour in which you can see actually quite a lot of it already. I’d definitely recommend walking around in the gardens as well. Worth every penny.

  • 5/5 Matt J. 2 years ago on Google
Great experience for a self guided audio tour. Visited the main house, gardens and winery. All very good. If Going, plan to spend at least half to a full day if you want to take your time and enjoy the surroundings.

Beautiful home! If you have more than 10 in your group, call the group line and get a great discount. They suggest 90 walking tour of the house, we spent more like 2.5 hours in there and would do it again. Also by booking a group rate you get a few 10% off coupons. And finally don't forget to book your wine tasting through the app while you are on property, love it!!

  • 5/5 Michelle S. 1 year ago on Google
Wonderful experience. Plan on spending the whole day there. The admission has a self guided walking tour. Your admission ticket will be a timed entry. The self-guided tour included a recorded playback via a handheld device. It was extremely basic and lacked greater insight into the rooms. I asked the docents (in the rooms that had them) and they were very knowledgeable. I understand the extended tour has much more information, which I think I would do as it would enhance the tour. Other than that, there are ample opportunities to eat and have access to restrooms. I wish there was a multi day pass because one day is just not enough.

What a Delightful Experience! I was totally amazed by this place. It's a must visit! I opted for the self-guided audio tour, which was quite valuable. The gardens took my breath away. The scenic views were just remarkable! I indulged in a tasting session at their winery, a totally worthy experience. Our family spent a wholesome day there. The staff had a friendly aura. The place was steeped in history, making it a great place to learn. Just captivating!

This place was incredible! The tour is self-guided, which is nice because you can go at your own pace. The gardens are just beautiful! The wine tastings were a lot of fun, and the wine tastes great!

A truly wonderful experience! My husband had never been and it's been more than 25 years for me. The audio tour is a wonderful way to tour the House! Lunch at Stable Gate was delicious! And the cherry on top was the Winery! Left with 6 bottles of wine, toys for our boys, and beautiful memories!

Wow just wow, what a beautiful estate. Spectacular views from every single angle. Immaculately kept gardens and friendly staff. A little pricy for entry and extra again to view inside, however it’s all about the experience that delivers long lasting memories. The estate evokes a wonderful sense of nostalgia and old world charm, the perfect setting to romance a new flame or connect with your loved one.

  • 5/5 Mason M. 10 months ago on Google
The building and scenic around is breathtaking. Bringing your family, friends, or spouse will be a moment of memory. Don’t advise staying on grounds $$$ for hotel and even the holiday in for $$ was quite nice. You will be able to get mostly everything done in one day, two if you want to wonder more.

Beautiful experience!! Driving through the estate property is a glorious expression!! Estate home tour is big wear comfy shoes!! Gardens are beautiful!! Conservatory is the best part with all the tropical plants in spring!! Winery is cute and fun to spend a whole day. Good restaurant options for dining before or after winery or after a long day at the Biltmore gardens good places to grab small bite places as well

  • 5/5 Loni A. 1 year ago on Google
What an incredible way to spend a day! You can easily spend the day here roaming the trails, enjoying the gardens and greenhouse. The scenery is absolutely beautiful. The tour inside the house was very enjoyable and I highly recommend picking up the audio tour with your ticket as this allows you to hear interesting facts about each room you visit around the house. It's slow-paced and you can go through the tour as fast or slow as you wish. **In my opinion, touring the house without the audio guide is pointless as there are no signs to read that give you facts about each room and its occupants.

  • 5/5 Kathleen C. 9 months ago on Google
Visiting was an awesome experience! It was definitely worth it to pay to go in the house - it’s a unique experience to get to see the rooms preserved as they were. The gardens are also gorgeous and we could have spent even longer walking around. Just be prepared for a lot of walking!!

  • 4/5 Jimmy S. 10 months ago on Google
Awesome home to visit once in your life. I'm not a house tourist, historical or otherwise, but I have always been fascinated with the Vanderbilt story, and I do appreciate craftsmanship. It's an entire day adventure, and you'll be fortunate to see everything worth the while. The village provides a wine tasting, which I found pleasantly surprising as it turns out that the Biltmore wines they presented were both pleasant and a good value. Hint: Book ahead for arrival first available time slot to experience with minimal crowding. Your photos will thank you.

OMG!! This place is beautiful. We had a great day. There is quite a few stairs, so just be prepared for that. After the tour we had a quick bite, a couple hot dogs and a chicken sandwich. It was tasty! The gift shop has a wide variety of souvenirs. Something for everyone! We then made our way to the gardens. Very lovely many different varieties of plants. The gardens also has a gift shop specializing in garden decor. 😀

We loved the Biltmore. We arrived right as it opened at 8:30 and shuttled over. I'd recommend the shuttle because there was a lot of walking on the grounds. We walked the garden, botanical garden, and out to the bass pond. It is a long walk but very worth it, beautiful well kept paths. We had booked the self guided tour at 11:00. It was very informative. This was the only tour I've done so far, but it did really seem to hit some of the main historical highlights. We then did some shopping at the gift stores and ate at the Stable Cafe at 2:00. We thought that food was just ok, but the restaurant itself is fun (being in the horse stables). We walked uphill for pictures and to see the Diana statue, then headed back the car to drive over to the winery. Highly recommend seeing all the grounds has to offer!

  • 5/5 Kelsie K. 9 months ago on Google
We had an amazing time visiting. THINGS TO NOTE BEFORE GOING: lots, and lots of walking. Wear comfortable shoes. I suggest baby wearing instead of a stroller because there are many steps to go up and down. Book the house tour! It was so cool. Wish we could’ve seen even more. Drive and visit the winery after to enjoy a free tasting. Delicious wine and cheese was had!!

  • 5/5 Dominic 7 months ago on Google
Definitely quite pricey, but well worth the price of admission. There is so much to see and do on the Estate. There are a number of different trails to walk around the estate. The scenery is great and they have a variety of gardens to check out. The house itself was amazing. It is a self-guided tour and they give you an audio device that gives you a lot of information about the house. Since it is self-guided you don't have to rush and you can really enjoy the sights in the house. There are also some shops and a few food options located conveniently right by the house. And Antler Hill Village is a short drive from the house if you are looking for more things to do or for more options to eat.

This is a must see if you're in the area. We've been on a lot of tours but this was hands down the best for we've been on. You get to see so much. The property is huge. It's insane to look at it and think that Buckingham Palace is 5 times the size of this place. The tickets are pricey. I was looking at the prices a few days before and there was a special on. They didn't say how long the special was on for so I figured I'd wait until the day of to purchase them. Unfortunately the price went back up. So if you see it on sale, grab it. The "House and Grounds" is all you need in my opinion. You got to see everything. We rode there on our ebikes. If you have one, do the same. You get to lock them close to the entrance. I say to do it because the property is gigantic. We were cruising around and the people walking looked tired. Your ticket includes a wine tasting. Normally wine tastings make you try what they want you to try. But here you got to select 5 from a list. It is a great idea if you only like whites or reds. The wine is delicious and not very expensive.

The most magical place on earth! I absolutely love the history on Edith and George Washington Vanderbilt. We have celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays here . We love being passholders! I cannot tell you how many exquisite meals we have had here! I just love every single thing about the estate! The family has done a phenomenal job, keeping this beautiful estate up and always making great changes to keep things new and interesting! Most of the staff have always been amazing! There have been a few that lacked hospitality. However, the sheer beauty of the estate makes up for it!

All I can say is wow. This is the second time that I've come. First was in the summer and now around Thanksgiving. Its great to see the differences in season. I ended up booking the 5:15 Pm tour. Which ended up be really cool as it gave a lot of time to walk the outside and the village while it was still warm outside.

Loved seeing the "house". It definitely doesn't feel like a home should as it's just too big for your own good. The workers were great and offered more to the self guided tour. We were thankful they were so nice to answer our questions. Tip for self guided tour: do it once as normal, with the audio; then go through it another time with the blue prints on your phone. It's neat to see where you are and how many other rooms there are. I wanted to see more, but the cost is way to out of budget to get that. Also, was a bit disappointed with the lack of Christmas decorations outside the house. The green house was probably my favorite spot. Would like to come back in the spring to see the flowers in bloom.
