👍👍 I went in for breakfast, and they took my order for egg and cheese on an Asiago bagel promptly. Several others were waiting for their food, but the wait didn't seem long. My bagel was hearty and delicious. I'll definitely be back. People often mention bagel, bagels, family, cheese,

Stop by for the first time today for brunch, and I was not disappointed. Not only do they have friendly service, and day-old Bagel bags for sale, the food is fantastic. The family is from New York, so you know these bagels are special! I could only eat half of my turkey and bacon, with white American cheese on an Asiago bagel sandwich. I'm definitely adding this to my list of frequent pit stops.

Let me tell you something, I was at first apprehensive of my Lox Bagel, but I have to admit it was one of, IF not the best New York City-style bagel I have ever had, and it was weird to me because the juxtaposition of an actual NYC styled lox bagel in Mint Hill is trippy enough. This place is like straight out of New York, to the fun and feisty ladies behind the counter with their cool accents and wit. If you have ever lived on the upper Westside and missed your lox, this is your replacement. They give thick fresh salmon slices and their "smear" was perfection. Yes, they serve with or without capers. I absolutely would recommend it.

This is our second time visiting this location. If you like bagels, this place is a must visit. This isn't your generic bagel, but more of a NYC style and tasting bagel. The bagels are always fresh and doughy -- never old and hard. Their are many different selections you can make, even sandwich meat additions for a lunch option. There are also a few deserts available. Definately recommend, as you won't regret it.

Cute, little family run shop. The service was great, the bagel sandwiches were made fresh and the flavor was great! Unfortunately, the bagels weren't properly cooked. Even after toasting, the inside was undercooked and doughy. We tried the garlic herb and the classic garlic and both had this issue. Despite that, it tasted okay but the texture ruined it. Prices are fair, 15 for lox, 8 for meat/egg/cheese. No indoor seating.

Review specially for people not from Charlotte who haven’t been able to find a good bagel! THIS IS THE PLACE!! Struggled to find a good bagel in Charlotte since moving here. My sister highly recommended Family Dough after hearing about it from friends. If you’re looking for a NY bagel, this is the place. The bagels were fresh and perfect. It’s a family owned business and the bagels are made by hand. Today I had one of the best bagels I’ve ever had and I can’t wait to go back! It’s worth a drive out of the way to get an amazing bagel and a super kind family!

Oh my! My first experience at this place and I will be back! I got an egg and cheese bagel and half of it was enough to fill me! Will enjoy the other half tomorrow! Also got a cinnamon sugar bagel with butter and it was still super yummy cold, (I had part of it a couple hours after I ate half my breakfast sandwich)I imagine it was phenomenal when it was warm! I’ve never experienced a NYC bagel before, so if this is what it’s like, I’m hooked! The staff were so kind and friendly! If you haven’t gone to support this family owned local business, you should go and quickly! 😊

My favorite bagels are the pumpernickel which they do not have. I did ask about pumpernickel bagels shortly after they first opened up. They did say that they had a few requests for them and they were going to try to make them in the near future. I just came again in April of 2023 and they do not have them. So I purchased a wheat everything bagel toasted with butter on the side and a coffee. I got the pecan coffee which is very good. The bagel is very tasty they toasted it just right. I've lived in New York Pennsylvania New Jersey so I am used to bagels being more chewy, which is how I like my bagels, this bagel was more on the softer side. But it's still very good and I will be back because I'm very happy that we have a bagel shop in Mint Hill. It was a Sunday morning and they were a little busy especially with take out orders, but I still didn't have to wait too long. Everyone was nice that works here.

Edit: spoke with one of the owners, he was extremely nice and understanding. Thank you for listening to your customers! I would like to start off by saying, I think we should all support local businesses, and yes prices are going up for everything. Customer service is A+, the food is outstanding and unlike anything you can find locally. Here’s where I have to dock one star: the price of this one scoop of tuna salad was $5! It’s less to get a scoop on a bagel, so in the future just do that. I believe you said it was a new item and maybe you’re testing the water to see if the price matches the quantity. Whatever it may be, please reconsider. I had my baby with me or I would have checked before leaving. I got home and was pretty disappointed, to say the least. 😕 Everything else was great, just wish I had purchased a sandwich with tuna salad now instead of a scoop. Lesson learned.

A hidden gem. Not really kidding about that cause it’s tucked in the back of this shopping center between two pretty nice restaurants! Their setup is simple and very well displayed. Their bagel selections are incredible and their menu is exactly what you expect! But it all comes down to taste, and my verdict… Superb!! I ordered the Lox bagel with jalapeño cream cheese spread. Good lord what a bagel. Every taste bud in my mouth was satisfied. The bagel itself is exactly as I wanted. A dense crust that was easy to bite into with a nice chew and with every bite, the bagel released more and more flavors. The final push that made my bagel standout was the capers the added. You won’t be hungry anymore after. Must try if you’re in the area.

My husband had a team meeting and needed a fairly large order of breakfast sandwiches, bagels and muffins. We decided to order from Family Dough Bagels and they were awesome. Everything was delicious and ready for when I needed them ( I had placed the order ahead of time). The team loved it all. I would definitely recommend Family Dough Bagels and can’t wait to try their lunch sandwiches. Thank you!

This is an adorable family run spot in mint hill with good bagels. The employees are SO sweet but SO slow. Waited for a bacon egg and cheese bagel for 30 minutes on a Sunday at 11am. They unfortunately only had crumbles of bacon on top and forgot the cheese. We didn’t go back to get it fixed because we didn’t want to wait longer. It would definitely benefit from a better system- you can tell this is family owned with minimum restaurant experience. We really want to see them succeed!
