Great bagels, great sandwiches, and excellent staff in an extremely clean and efficient location. I arrived at the store to find a clean and well lit environment. The staff was helpful and friendly. As I waited for my food to be prepared, I stopped in the bathroom which was just as clean with amenities for women. The sandwiches I received, used quality bagels with the typical New York bagel slightly chewy but still soft texture. The two egg sandwiches had a generous portion of eggs with fresh lettuce and tomatoes. The turkey sandwich I also purchased also used a generous portion of turkey meat, as well as the fresh lettuce and tomatoes. The staff is a very key component to the business. They are helpful and provide an experience that is unique with small touches that show a level of appreciation for their customer and attention to detail. Others mentioned prices being high, I found their sandwich prices very much in line with other chain locations for egg sandwiches. Not to mention the quality of ingredients is consistent here. Great bagels, great sandwiches and an overall excellent customer and taste experience. I’ll be back.

Brandwein’s offer NY-style bagels in Carborro. Breakfast sandwiches and lox are the most popular offerings. They bagel sandwiches are huge and capable of being split for those with smaller appetites. For me, I is usually take on the Lox bagel or Sausage/Egg/Cheese depending on my level of fullness. There are a few outside tables to compliment the indoor dining room. There’s also a production kitchen in the building next door for catering and mass production. There’s a parking adjacent to the production kitchen and street parking. The bagels come out fast and service is good. The best spot for bagels in the area IMO.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Brandswein Bagel, and I must say, it was an incredible experience from start to finish! In the hunt for bagels that are worthy of being called bagels, finally tried Brandwein's. Previously we were happy with Chapel Hill Bagels and then they closed and Deli Edison bagels are nowhere close. We ordered online which was great and pick up was easy as you go in the side door and they have a system of shelves where you pick up your order. There is plenty of outdoor seating. Parking is tight but there is a public lot closer by. Bagels are good but still not up to the standards of NY/NJ. Good crust, but the interior of the bagel is still too bready which is a concept that eludes bagel makers outside of the Northeast. Will still get bagels here though since they are tasty and easy to order.

Hard to beat an incredible assortment of delicious food with excellent service. Not only in-store, but they cater as well! Alex is the absolute best; he and his team will take care of you and knock it out of the park for your next event. I cannot speak highly enough about Brandwein's Bagels! Alex, the owner, is an absolute pleasure to work with, and their catering service is exceptional. They arrived on time, set up a beautiful spread that included a fruit platter and coffee, and the bagels were simply fantastic! The prices are reasonable considering the top-notch quality you receive, and supporting this wonderful local Chapel Hill business is an added bonus.

Best bagels in town. You can't go wrong with anything here, and I especially love the egg and cheese on whole wheat everything. The Blueberry and Cinnamon Raisin bagels are also great, and if you are in the mood for something sweet I recommend the Funfetti cream cheese! Great location as well, very bike friendly!

If you order online on the weekends it will literally be a minimum of 45 minutes to get an untoasted bagel with cream cheese. Cannot believe they call themselves a New York bagel place when they are so slow all the time. Also the sweet tea tastes like literal ash and is super gross

Great selection with quality products!! Loved the everything bagel and cold brew. Super friendly staff who gave us a jelly-filled sweet bagel! So yummy. Definitely going to go back!

Great locally owned bagel shop. The Roast Beef Deluxe was really great. Perfectly made onion bagel and fresh ingredients. Eileen was so friendly and such an asset to Brandwein’s.

Taste is good, quality control was rough. These are rolls not bagels. Some are deformed and rock hard all the way through. I paid $30 dollars for 12 small bagels and two 1/4qt cream cheeses. I also asked for 3 plain bagels in my dozen and got 3 poppy seeds.

Fresh bagels every day. You can see the workers pumping them out in the back!! They have several sandwiches you can choose from or create your own. Personally just felt the prices were a tad steep, but great food overall.

Best bagels in the Triangle. The prices are on the higher end but the quality is high enough to justify. Have done dine in, take out, and catering with them—super super kind employees and Alex, the owner, is a pleasure to work with. Catering orders have been accurate, on time, and fresh. Great asset in the Chapel Hill community.

One of the best small businesses in chapel hill. A crowd favorite place for a good reason! I've picked up batches of bagels from here and shopped their curated bagel menu and even had their signature cookie - all of which are really enjoyable. You honestly can't go wrong getting anything here, but my factor comfort bagel is the cheddar egg and cheese on an everything bagel.
