I visited Eustis Estate back in December, bringing my family (five adults) to visit as a Christmas gift. Eustis Estate is open all year, a rarity for HNE properties. Days of the week vary depending on the season. The property is open on Saturday and Sunday from January through April, Friday through Sunday from May to November, and Thursday through Sunday in December. Self-guided tours are admitted on the hour from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., while guided tours take place from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Admission to enter the house is standard large house pricing for HNE at $20 for adults, $17 for seniors, $10 for students, and $0 for HNE members (like me!), with an additional $5 per person charge for a guided tour. Some public libraries have day passes for free admission. A spacious parking lot fits vehicles of nearly any size. Plus, this historic house was built with an elevator and is fully accessible for those using wheelchairs or with other mobility-related disabilities! Additionally, those who cannot travel to the site can explore the mansion using an informative virtual tour, which has information matching the kiosks found inside the house. If you are looking for a fun, education, historical, and relaxing activity for the whole family during the winter holiday season or any time of year, this is an amazing option.

A must see museum house in Massachusetts. There's so much history and story. The years of lived experience is palpable. The center is wonderfully maintained and clean, inside and outside. It is a treat that the public can get access to this awesome place. The outdoors is also wonderful to explore. The grounds are especially beautiful in the fall. I plan to return when the Christmas decorations are up. Thanks to all the attendants and guides - they were all so courteous and kind.

Visited this beautiful museum on May, 22 2022. It was a self guided tour but we were greeted by employees who gave us a quick introduction and answered all questions we had while exploring the house. Stuff was very friendly and knowledgeable about Eustis Estate. First when we arrived what caught our eyes was this spacious land around with beautiful scenery views. Next thing we were mesmerized by this old huge and gorgeously looking tree in front of the house (definitely ask about the history of this tree! ) . The estate itself looks really well preserved, in my opinion, outside and inside for a house built in 1878. There is definitely unique atmosphere and energy about this place and I highly recommend this museum. We got our tickets online and it was $20 per adult person. Masks are required inside the house for the tour.

Eustis Estate is an absolutely stunning house, full of very unique details. The building itself is stunning, the furnishing is beautiful, and the digital information monitors positioned around the house are informative. While we did not go on a "guided tour" the two tour guides who were there during our visit were very informative and enthusiastic. Individual styluses and a decreased capacity made the space more COVID safe. I'd love to come back post pandemic. Becoming a member of Historic New England is well worth it for this museum alone, but has so many other great properties as well.

I homeschool my 8 year old son and we attended a Christmas homeschooling event here. We learned about the mansion and created ornaments while visiting different rooms then added all the ornaments onto garland to take home! The place is magnificent! The staff are very kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. We had a wonderful time! In fact, I will be purchasing a family membership. Looking forward to many more events!

Beautiful land & house. I think a wedding was being prepped for while we were their. The museum is on top of a hill that has beautiful acres of green grass and interesting sculptures! I recommend visiting if possible!

Tour the perfectly restored mansion, walk the grounds, or simply sit in the front-porch rockers and take in the view. The Eustis estate is a great place to step back in time and slow down for a bit.

A great historic house, and a great way to spend some time learning about the area. The staff are friendly and pleasant, and this is a house, go ahead and sit on the furniture. The grounds have more historic buildings, and there are frequent art events that add even more to the experience.

The mansion is a truly unique and interesting piece of architecture, interior design and local history. If you enjoy any of these, this is a great excursion. My bucket list now includes coming back with time to just SIT and peruse the books in the library because you actually can do that here. Then you can stroll and picnic on the vast grounds. A good take!

We visit this place in every season. It's from a by-gone era and built with the Eustis family's enormous wealth. Look for the huge beach trees, awesome! Rock on the porch and relax...

An idyllic spot for a walk, and generally not too crowded. Gorgeous grounds. The house is also nice but it’s not necessary to visit it to enjoy the grounds. A good place for dogs, although some people do not obey the rules and let their dogs off leash.

The estate was interesting. Unfortunately the young man working in the gift shop was a liar. I told them I did not want to give my email address but was told they needed it for contact tracing. That was a complete lie. They only want to send advertising. Don't give them your email address. I will not recomend sending people somewhere they will be lied to.

What a treasure the Eustis Estate is! Highly recommend the guided tour and if you’re lucky Richard will be your guide. His enthusiasm, knowledge, and appreciation of this exquisite estate and grounds make the experience that much more enjoyable. It is beautifully decorated for Christmas. Looking forward to visiting again in the spring when everything is in bloom.

👍 The trailside museum is at the foot of the hills next to the ski slope. We mostly went to see the animals. Most of the birds of prey were not in their enclosures because of avian flu. The otter, the foxes, the deer, and some others were still out.

👍👍 This is a great little park right behind the library. I wish the playground had been there when I grew up in the town. It has swings, monkey bars, a little merry go round, a huge teeter totter and a unique playground in the shape of a ship to commemorate the ship building that happened there for hun...
