This place was my first time trying something out of my comfort zone. That was over 10 years ago. I brought my boyfriend here for his birthday just after the lunch rush to share what I positively felt when I was here. In a neutral light, there were only a few patrons left and no one to seat us. Without any way to obtain service, we just stood and waited. 5 minutes pass and we were finally seated. The menu for lunch was vast with some classic Greek dishes, all new opportunities to try and empty stomachs to fill. For appetizers, we had the Spanakopita and the Dolmathes. For our entrees, the Chicken Kebab and Moussaka. Over a period of 25 minutes, we got both our apps and entrees. Could be slightly better. I can only speak from our experience; The taste was nostalgic and definitely something I wish we had in our town. We also got a Gyro to go to try (A-Must!) The overall price was reasonable for what we received. As I am glad to have came back, I'm more glad about introducing it someone who enjoys it as much as I do and hope to introduce it to more people and spread the good taste that is Tasso's Greek Restaurant.

This place is simply amazing. You walk in and immediately feel like you are welcomed into a lovely home in Greece. Incredible service, very friendly and full of great laughs and wholesome and delicious food. Will visit every time I’m in KC.

Stopped for lunch, had moussaka. Very tasty, subtle spices. Salad had the right amount of dressing on it, not a blast of vinegar like many Greek restaurants serve. Nice neighborhood vibe, vinyl tablecloths, a bar that looks nice, music but not too loud, nice decor, nothing fancy. Weekday lunch had few people there — less than Google’s bar graph would suggest.

Came for dinner on Saturday and made reservations on the last minute for 6 people and they accommodated us and placed our desired table at our request. It is greatly appreciated when the host will go out of their way to give us great experience. Being our first time, we asked our waitress to surprise us with the most popular dish and appetizers. She did not disappoint, we had the best food and experience. The belly dancer was a great addition and they encouraged audiences to participate. Plate breaking was also interesting and fun. Will definitely come back again to bring our friends and family.

A great little Greek place. Their food is authentic and very good. It's very traditional looking inside. Dimly lit and comfortable. If you've never seen the owners, you will by looking at any of the 5000 pictures on the wall. The host was great. Attentive, yet gave us space. The lamb wasn't as tender, but we also showed up as soon as the doors opened, so I wouldn't expect that to be the norm. The serving sizes were great and the kids' choice was still authentic! Thank You for that! Overall good experience and will definitely come by again.

My daughter chose to go here for her 18th birthday- they made it so special! She got a sparkler candle, a special plate with the year on it and one to break! The food was to die for and the service was amazing. This was the second time we have been there and I’ve never been disappointed. Everything was fresh and delicious!! We will be back!

I do love this place, although Greek food is not for everyone. The atmosphere is truly fun and enjoyable! If you go there, definitely try to go on a Friday or Saturday night 7 or later. Drinks are very very good. Do plan on ~ $50 a person(as of June 2023) for the best experience. Take dollars for plates, you'll understand why after you go! I would strongly recommend for a double date or small party. It gets loud quickly, so parties larger than 6, it's hard to hear each other. Would not recommend for takeout just because of the kind of food the make is just better hot then and there and the atmosphere is worth eating in. Call ahead for reservations (don't have to, but would strongly recommend!)

Been here many times. The Gyro is very good. I said I liked the sauce and the waiter brought some in a bowl and then when I paid he added four dollars on the bill. For $21 I definitely would have gone elsewhere.

And brief, good but not great. I hope to visit sometime later and upgrade this review. Our waitress was very good and very pleasant. We got the big sampler appetizer and it was great. We all got lamb chops. It was my first time getting lamb chops but my fellow diners are regulars there and have gotten them before. I think it might just be that I'm not a lamb chop fan because I didn't care for them but my fellow diners thought they were just fine. Another thing I found not so great was the fact that another large table was seated right next to us in a almost empty restaurant. And they were so loud we couldn't carry on a conversation. Also the hostess who seated them there scowled and grimaced the whole time we were there.

Took a trip to KC for the weekend and was excited to try Tasso's. Sorry to say that it was a disappointment. The food and atmosphere were good but the poor service was bad enough to make the other two not matter. They forgot that they sat us and we waited forever to have our drink orders taken, which they comped an appetizer for the inconvenience, so that was decent. Then came the bill. They refused to honor the Groupon I had because they couldn't figure out how to redeem it. Not sure how that's my problem, but apparently it is since the manager pretty much said too bad. It's a neat little restaurant but I refuse to support businesses that don't value their customers. I suggest passing it on by on your way through KC

We went for New Year's Eve. They had a belly dancer and we could smash some plates. Their house salad dressing is amazing!

Celebrated my birthday here with several friends and family! Everyone had the best time! Our server was excellent. Food exceeded expectations. The belly dancer is beautiful and graceful! The owner was extremely accommodating! So much fun!

Service was great, and the atmosphere was cool. There was a guy playing music but he wasn't great by any means. In my opinion, it was too loud, but that's just me. I got the Leg of Lamb and I honestly wasn't too impressed for $24. Veggies and rice that it came with was good. I will say the pita bread, hummus and "flaming cheese" was good. Definitely recommend those. The drink menu is kinda small, they want you to drink a "Greek style drink", which is understandable, but for &10-$12 it's hard to just pick a random drink you've never had. I'd recommend revising that menu, honestly. But all in all, I may go back and would recommend it if you like Greek style food.

Had an excellent night with family here. Our server was fantastic. Belly dancer was fun. Food was fresh and delicious. We all split some appetizers and super combination plate to try lots of stuff. Highly recommend this place.

So disappointing. The interior is sad and tired. The food is not good. We had heard good things but didn’t have a positive experience at dinner. (Our waitress was very nice but did misplace our credit card.)

The appetizer with the 4 types of dip and the bread was amazing. I can't say enough good things about the pita bread. I had the chicken kabobs and was disappointed. I thought they would have more flavor. I do want to go back during the weekend so I can break some plates. I will keep going back but trying something different. The decor made me want to watch my big fat Greek wedding and break out the windex.

Not great food. We tried the: -A Tour of Greece A sampling of tzatziki (decent), humos (not much flavor), skordalia (consistency of mashed potato’s) and hot feta dip with pita bread. -Chicken Plate, it was very dry. -Arnaki Tasso, it was very dry. -Baklava, was tasty It was definitely entertaining, if you’re just wanting that.
