I love this place! Great food, great people! Reasonably priced, great food served by an awesome group of people, you can't go wrong. Table or counter service, with a wide variety of breakfast, and lunch options. Daily specials, on the board, something for everyone. A great family restaurant!

Heidi's is one of the last diners that serve real potatoes, not the frozen ones from Sysco. The food is absolutely delicious. The best omelettes in all Massachusetts. They also serve plantains which I always order cause they are delicious. George the owner, will always greet you with a beautiful smile. He knows his customers

I and a friend went to have breakfast at Heidi on a week day. The restaurant was busy, but not crowded. Folks were pleasant, most knew one another and greeted each other by name. Staff were friendly, helpful. Food was good and generously portioned. I recommend the omelet – it tasted soft, fluffy, great. The ham is awesome also. The only item I didn’t like so much was the waffles – they may need to be cook a bit more. Overall, we enjoyed our meal there a lot.

Came for lunch. Friendly staff, but mediocre quality food. Flavor and freshness of ingredients was middle of the road. None of the staff were wearing masks (still during pandemic). Probably okay for a cheap breakfast option, but that might be it.

Good, friendly service. Breakfast better than most places I've been to.

A Boston Breakfast "Cheers" kinda place where everybody soon knows your name. Food is great and people watching is a bonus. Say hi to George for us (Lorrie from WA State) if you visit.

When I think of American Diners, this is exactly the type if establishment I think of. On a recent trip from Toronto to Boston, we found this gem close to our AirBNB and it was amazing. The atmosphere of a great diner, locals sitting around eating breakfast, or popping in for a coffee. And George seemed to know them all. And if he didn't, he made sure to chat with us to get to know us, if even for a little. And let's not forget about the amazing breakfast... steak and cheese omelette was amazing!! We loved it so much, we went twice! Thanks George!!

Really solid diner style breakfast place. We had the breakfast sandwich on a croissant (nothing exceptional, but exactly what it claims to be and not especially expensive) and the breakfast burrito (really nice, can't remember if it was an add-on, but it had peppers and onions mixed in that I thought made it better than a lot of breakfast burritos I've had). Tater tots were nice and crispy, and they roasted our blueberry muffins which was a nice touch. Pretty sure it is CASH ONLY, but there is an ATM at the front door if you don't carry cash with you.

I ordered Eggs Benedict for delivery. I called ahead and asked if thy made their Hollandaise Sauce from scratch or if they used a mix. I was assured that it was from scratch. It isn't. Hollandaise is egg yokes, butter and lemon. Adding a few drops of Champaign Vinegar is not unheard of. The goop I received contained none of these ingredients. I guess they figure their customer base doesn't know the difference. They used a mix, added water and gelatin and called it Hollandaise. I will never order from this dump again.

This place is a quintessential east coast diner. Their offerings included a terrific selection of breakfast and lunch classics; we opted for the French toast and Belgian waffle with eggs and bacon. My favorite part of a diner is the coffee, and Heidi’s did not disappoint with a piping hot cu straight from the . Cash only of course for this gem in Waltham!

Go for the food! Don't expect wonderful atmosphere but the food is very good. Had a Spanish omlette and other had a westen. They do it better then most. Price was fair. Two people both had omlettes and both had coffee for $28. Today that's pretty good today

Heidi's is our all-time favorite place for a casual breakfast. George and the staff are so friendly and attentive, the food is delicious and always cooked perfectly, and the vibe is great. We love sitting at the counter on a busy weekend morning. Cash only!

My husband and I popped into this place for breakfast while in the area for another appointment and it was one of the best experiences we’ve had in MA since moving in 2016. The owner and staff were super friendly, knew many customers by name and went above and beyond for us. And the food was delicious. I can’t think of many places who offer this kind of customer service (in MA or elsewhere, for that matter) and we will certainly be back. Thank you!

VEGETARIANS: GET THE BREAKFAST BURRITO W/O MEAT AND ADD HOME FRIES AND SALSA... and fried sweet plantains if you are feeling luxurious. The burrito is life-changing.. and the frequency which I order has allowed me to interact with an amazing down to earth staff that makes me feel part of a community. If Heidi's ever shuts down then I will be so sad and dream of breakfast burritos from a time gone by.

This was such a great little spot for breakfast. Customer service was exceptional and food was delicious, especially the breakfast potatoes! George made his way through the tables making sure everyone was having a good experience, so friendly. We got to talking and mentioned we were traveling for our honeymoon and he was kind enough not to offer us a free meal. Highly recommend this place, thanks for the great experience!

Great local dinner we happened upon while passing through. Nothing fancy, but exactly what I would expect from a neighborhood place.

Typical diner but the food is nothing special. Hospitable service and a place for locals. Good prices. Solid average and ordinary place

CASH ONLY!! This place has been here for a while. They offer TONS of options for breakfast and lunch. I had French toast, pretty good. My friend had cheeseburger omelet. Looking forward to trying something else next time. The pastries looked good.

This diner is beyond expectation. It's my first time here and I love this place. My boyfriend ordered Salmon Benedict and I had French toast with bacon. Nice coffee. I got a chance to try their blueberry muffin for the first time, cut in half and grilled it, served with butter. I love it! French toast tastes great by itself, I don't need maple syrup here. This is the best dining place ever. They are very nice and friendly. We do appreciate their effort for all customers. We love the vibe of local homemade food here. The food and service were awesome. No wonder why this place has such a high rating! We had a great time there :) It's definitely worth the wait and your time. Highly recommended. We will, for sure, be back! Thank you very much!

i got the Belgian waffle with peanut butter and a side of corned beef hash. the waffle had a crisp exterior and fluffy interior with a good flavor. the hash could have been crisper but had a great flavor (next time i will just order it crispy). the service was prompt and everyone was very nice. i would like to return to try things on the lunch menu.

I'm not sure if the cooks are trained but the last 3 omelets I ordered had little to no eggs in it. I asked for extra eggs this last time and got a over cooked omelet and no cheese like i had requested. It tasted like burnt eggs and my daughters hashbrown was so overdone she could barely eat it. Not paying anymore $ for food that is ill prepared and not observed before it leaves the restaurant. Waltham has gone downhill for foodies

Okay, so the food is good HOWEVER it took literally 45-50 minutes to get our order ( mind you we are talking about eggs and pancakes that literally take 3 minutes to cook). Now this was the second time this happened. The first time we thought it was just a fluke or someone called out and didn’t have enough help in the kitchen and we went back again probably 6 months later and had the same problem. I also want to state that the place was not at capacity there were some empty seats at the counter and the outdoor seats only had 1 table occupied. Also my breakfast sandwich was good however it seemed like there was barely one egg in it. It’s like they found the smallest egg possible and used that for the sandwich. So if you don’t mind waiting an hour for food then by all means this is the place for you.
