Pretty sure I was just profiled and accused of fraud... I just left the branch an hour ago, after seeking a simple cashiers check. For thirty minutes, I was subjected to inappropriate questioning and shady behavior. I've been a gold star member with BOA for the past ten years, and I've never encountered anything like this. This place could probably use new management or at least some sort of DEI training.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER ! No smiles. No manners either. Prepare to be accosted upon entering by a person who asks what you are there for and if they can help. Once you are forced to publicly disclose your business, she then directs you to someone else who may not help either. Need efficienciy and privacy? THIS IS NOT YOUR BANK! The fact is this vetting person is obnoxious , unfriendly, craving validation, a bully, and of NO help....and the bad service continues with persistent badgering in a very unfriendly and attempted intimidation. It's REALLY THE WORST. Want something notarized ? That's a laugh. They'll play any maneuver to disqualify your document, meanwhile any other bank is able to notarize the same document in and out in no time. This Bank branch gets NEGATIVE STARS for bad attitude and worst customer service experience in Amherst, second only to the Jones Library. What might you do to improve? How can I help?

I am not a member here, I only came to deposit a check for a friend. The tellers were so unfriendly and so unhelpful. I was pretty much told to figure out how to write the deposit on my own with no help from the tellers. Thank God my bank doesn’t have their ridiculous deposit forms and unfriendly tellers. Would never open an account with this bank. I would’ve left and given them the number 1 finger had it not been an urgent deposit.

Possibly the absolute worst branch ever. The clerks make up their own rules and have wasted my time on so many occasions. What I can do easily at any other branch is impossible to do here. I’ve been a member for 20 years and I’m now done. Moving my business elsewhere. If I could give a zero I would.

When my husband was in ICU I lost my debit card. The bank mailed a new one to my home but I was in another city. My husband died in ICU and after I returned home, I went to the bank with my new card. I was desperate for access to my money and I thought I needed to get a new pin number, a process which takes like a minute to do. The Bank of America Amherst branch was completely empty. There were 2 tellers sitting together. I approached them and said what I needed and one of them coldly told me that they couldn't help me without an appointment. At this point, I told them my husband had just died and started crying. I begged them to help, saying it was the last thing I needed after my husband's death. The other teller looked like she felt bad but didn't want to say anything in front of the cold mean teller. I asked if the manager was there and the mean teller said no. I told her I used to work in a bank years ago, and the manager was always there. She then said, "well, he's in a meeting." I went and sat down in the large empty waiting area and called Bank of America. The phone support person was really nice and told me to try my card in the ATM because my old pin might still work and it did. I loudly said to her, "Thank you, you've done more work in 10 minutes than these tellers have done all day. They're just sitting there doing absolutely nothing." (This occurred 1 year ago in Feb 2022 btw, but I'll never forget it.)

DO NOT COME. The receptionist is a racist. Last week you and your coworker came to MHC and made an appointment with us for today. However, when we came here today, the receptionist said they were full and let us make another appointment without any apology or explanation. However, when we are leaving, the receptionist talked to her coworker and said "they are silly." I do believe it is a very disrespectful behavior, and I suspect that she is being a racist just because we are first year Asian students.

Great service always. I opened an account eleven years ago and the service is always first class. They always try to help, and they go out of their way to sort out any problems that may come up. A big thank you to all of them. A big thank you to Jane.

This branch at Amherst has a few very pleasant people working there but "upper management" has a mightier than thou mentality and will take it to any degree. And it is usually understaffed. One star because no zero.

Terrible! I created my account a month ago, I got my temporary debit card expired and I still haven't received my official debit card, I called today and for my surprise the debit card got sent back to the financial institution a more than a week ago because of an error from the location at Amherst, they wrote my address wrong and didn't had the courtesy of sending me an e-mail when the debit card got sent back, and today I couldn't buy food or shop for personal needs because of these irresponsable location in specific. Worst part is they're not going to even grant me any type of gift for the terrible service. And I'm still going to have to wait more than two days from now to make a purchase and I don't have any cash. That's great! Good job Bank of America Amherst Massachusetts! 😁😁😁

Came in for a name change. Staff greeted me and found someone to help me. Everyone was very friendly and professional and got me in and out in no time. Thank you!

The tellers were super helpful and friendly this morning. It took a little long to get a cashier's check but they waived the fee due to the inconvenience.

Bank of America is not known for its customer satisfaction but this branch is by far the worst among BoA branches.

I had to wait for over half an hour even when I'd scheduled an appointment ahead of time. It wasn't even crowded -- they just had very few staff with bad coordination. Update: they had tried to help me out after realizing that they'd mistaken another customer to be me and help them out first. they also reached out to apologize afterwards. My problem wasn't completely solved that day, but I think the person assisting me tried their best. I hope my next experiences will be better!

What kind of a BANK doesn't pick up the phone or take walk-ins? Pitiful. Screwed me royally.
