Wonderful park with flat terrain and several paved trails for walking and bicycling. Has several crushed granite paths as well – all are walkable even after the rain. Beautiful grove of pecan trees, small ponds for fishing, fields of wildflowers, native vegetation with interpretive signage. Playground and pavilions to rent for events, overnight camping sites along the creek, clean restrooms, ample parking areas. Plenty of squirrels, deer, birds, but the highlight of the place is two donkeys, Bob and Pedro, very amiable guys. The whole park is serene and pleasant in any weather.

Plenty of shady trails with woods, lake, springs and meadows. Enjoyed spotting butterflies near the family graveyard. Also, petted the burros. A lovely spot just a couple of miles off I-35.

A beautiful park and affordable camping sites! Very kid friendly. The kids will love the wildlife and resident donkeys! Tent camping is conveniently located near public restrooms.

We loved this quite, green and peaceful park with couple of sweet donkeys in Georgetown with different trails for walking, to enjoy nature and just for relaxing. Far enough from the main road and not crowded at all. Spaceful and clean, plenty of benches, kids playground, picnic tables and numerous parking places. Great for families with bikes and dogs as well.

Super peaceful in the mornings. The bathrooms are located by the camping site to the right as your enter. There is a small bridge over the water where you can sit and relax with the sound of flowing water beneath you. Highly recommended for people who want to stretch or do morning yoga on the boardwalk without a ton of people around.

Was only planning to spend an hour at the park, but loved it so much we spent over 2. Between the donkeys, historical markers, hiking trails, playground, and plant markers, there was no shortage of things to do. My toddler loved it and was asking when we could go back before we left the park.

It's beautiful!!! We walked around and looked at a small lake. Trails were flat. I will definitely go back!

Excellent camping grounds. Complete with decent restrooms for men and women. Nice firepits and firewood available on location. George is an elderly, sweet, and excellent voluntary host who keeps everything in order and, at the same time, doesn't come off as bossy. Great greenery, many many pecan trees. There are a lot of opportunities to take wild flower photos during spring. Enough parking for some camp sites, and there are other camp sites available for a bit more hardcore camping away from parking and restrooms. I camped 4 times already here, and I had a good sleep in the night. The only complaint is domesticated peacocks making noise in the middle of the night from nearby home ?

Yes. First, the entry is stunning. My Dream home will have one like this stunner. This is a very nice place to take a walk on a paved path with nice trees and lush grounds. Tons of interesting foliage. Side paths running along Berry Creek. Old massive sprawling trees. Absolutely come here. AND THEN THEIR IS THE DONKEYS. Yes, 2 amazing Donkeys enclosed right near the Parking area. Those 2 made our day! If your not a Park fan, then just come and see those Donkeys 🫏. 2 Thumbs up for this Park.

This park has pretty, arbor covered bridges and trails. It's strange to look at a trail or bridge or road and know that the distance of time between the past and the future is probably about the same, if you're lucky--one's 40s are a strange decade of life to live. If you're looking for a nice, quiet place to contemplate ending something and beginning something else, this is a good place to do that. There are plenty of benches and maps along the trails for rest and guidance. I didn't see any berries or springs, but that doesn't mean they don't exist. With the right kind of eyes, you can see more than you ever thought possible. Like a squirrel, or a cardinal, or a donkey, or a dream that refuses to die. P.S. Seriously, you can see all of those animals here!

Nice relaxing park, very clean and love the huge trees. It doesn't get too crowded and we are always able to find an open picnic table. I noticed two donkeys there on my last visit with a lot of families crowded around their enclosure. They also have a playground for kids (back right in the attached photo) and 2 or 3 miles of walking trails. We were there for a birthday picnic, stayed about 3 hours, it was great.

Truly a captivating place to understand the ecological processes of the Central Texas natural world. Berry Springs Preserve is for those who want to come and truly enjoy being in nature and respecting it’s indigenous life residing in it’s landscape. I recommend to walk silently and become consumed by the variations of sound in your surrounding. Look closely to everything around you from BIG to small and revel in the sight biological processes at play. By the end of your exploration through Berry Springs Preserve you will become more knowledgeable of the importance of preserving the local biosphere that we as humans inhabit.

This park is very well maintained. The park is large, featuring tall forest like trees, campsites, and recently renovated restrooms. This site is sure to be a family favorite! My family and friends have an annual camping trip and this year this park made the cut!

Took my daughter to fish, and thats the only thing that may be difficult to do. The water is quite overgrown and you can barely cast a line. Other than that, this place is gorgeous! We saw deer up close and lightning bugs as the sun set, the water is beautiful to hang out by and I must say I will come back for a family day. There seems to be miles to walk and enjoy some peace.

Beautiful park with lots of trees, ponds, walking/biking trail, open space, playground for kids, a covered patio area for gatherings, donkeys to pet, just a Great park to visit.

We love to go to Berry Springs Park! My husband walks the trail and I walk around taking photos of the beautiful flowers up by the old small cemetery. It was like that yesterday. My only concern is for the two donkeys that looked terrible. Normally they look fine, but you could tell the heat was getting to one of them and they both looked like bugs were being a problem to them. I'm sure they must have water to drink, although I did not see it. Their coats were the worst I've ever seen. I hope they can address that to make them more comfortable. Otherwise it would have been a 5-star review.
