Dr. Citow is an excellent surgeon, very knowledgeable, skilled and professional. Over the years I’ve had three successful surgeries with him with great recoveries.

Seen 2 doctors for sciatica before seeing Dr. Citow. First one gave me pain injections - didn’t work. The second prescribed physical therapy- also didn’t work. Dr. Citow looked at my MRI and suggested minimal invasive outpatient surgery. Outcome was great and three weeks later I was back to normal activities. I am now pain free. I highly recommend Dr. Citow .

Dr. Citow is excellent at his given specialty- surgery. And he talks a great plan about pain management after surgery, however then I was given only tylenol in the hospital after an anterior/posterior fusion of cervical spine C3-C7...major surgery, major pain! The whole reason I was kept overnight was for pain management...I don't consider tylenol pain management after spinal surgery! Definitely a continually occurring issue for this practice... Once out of the hospital I was given pain meds, but I've had 3 surgeries on my spine with Dr Citow, and in the hospital it was always tylenol only!😢

Dr. Alzate and his staff are amazing. Very friendly and knowledgeable. He was my second opinion and will now be my only. I went from a scary 3 level fusion to having 1 disc replaced. He was very reassuring that I would get back to my normal live with no restrictions. I will definitely tell everyone I know to come here for their spine needs!!

Amazing experience! I consulted Dr. Juan Alzate with sciatica, buttock pain, foot and ankle pain, and a few other seemingly unrelated symptoms (to me) that were not unrelated at all! After a new MRI and a comparison to my previous MRI, he correctly diagnosed my problem and advised me on other issues in my spine that were not of immediate concern. After minimally invasive laminectomy surgery, I am once again comfortable and active. Many thanks to Dr. Alzate and the American Center for Spine and Neurosurgery!

I was experiencing severe facial nerve pain that sent me to an MRI and gave me a shock to find out it was a brain tumor causing the pain. I was referred to Dr. Alzante, and heard ( and saw) how amazing of a surgeon he was but also his kind demeanor was appealing. A surgeon I work with often (I'm an RN) said "he's the best with brains". He worked me in within 2 days for a consult and surgery as scheduled within 2-3 weeks. His team and the hospital made a scary situation so much better. The PAs quickly retuned post-op phone calls. The MRIs were all ordered, scheduled and followed up on in such a fast time frame. The team was outstanding for me as a patient. And as healthcare worker who works along side the providers from this group, I'm thoroughly impressed and grateful. I now feel better than I have in years, there has been zero pain/ headaches since the tumor was removed, I'm so appreciative.

Dr Citow and his staff are wonderful. I have spent years in pain with spinal stenosis and sciatica pain. My Dr, Dr Kashow, referred me to Dr Citow and I had my Surgery on October 16. I am finally getting relief from continuous Pain. Dr Citow was professional and at the same time empathetic and kind. His staff was Also accommodating and supportive. Dr Citow has given me hope that I can now lead a normal life without pain, something I had previously thought was impossible.

Dr Bradlay Bagan performed a hemilaminectomy on me as I was having sciatica down my right leg. It was the worst 3 months of my life as I could not walk, stand up straight and had severe pain for 24hrs everyday. Once I got out of surgery I had immediate relief from the sciatic pain. Dr.Alzate is a doctor that explains throughly what is going on with you body and immediately presents all solutions truthfully! I appreciated his eye contact and how he speaks to another human being!

Dr Citow is the best. This is round two for me with lumbar fusion. I was up and moving sooner and better than the first time. My scar, while longer this time, is tiny. Dr Alzate is amazing. I have gone for years of not feeling my arms. I seem to remember the first thing I said after surgery is that I could. I didn't think that was going to be possible. Incision is minor. I am so Thankful to have him as my Dr. The office staff is very kind.

I can’t tell you how pleased I am with Dr. Citow’s surgery for my back. When I first went to see him, I couldn’t stand for more than five minutes, I couldn’t walk for longer than five minutes, and I couldn’t sleep more than a few hours without the pain waking me up. After the procedure, I have no pain I’m walking just fine. I’m a different person and I am extremely grateful. The entire staff and facility are totally top-notch. I highly recommend him to anyone with back issues.

After my initial appointment I was instructed to get an EMG and an MRI. That was on Oct.18. I have completed both and now have left two messages, first on Nov.1 and again on November 4th in order to get a follow up appointment. I'm still waiting for a call back.

I trust only ACSN with my spine. From consultation, diagnosis, and surgery to after surgical care including physical therapy, the entire staff was empathetic and caring. Dr. Citow performed a three-level spinal fusion in June to alleviate severe leg and back pain. I left the hospital three days later with no pain. I was on my bicycle in three weeks to start rehab, and did a 20-mile ride at six weeks. All restrictions to my activity have been lifted and I am back to living my life with no pain.
