Nice restaurant with a great patio. Good to bring kids over (even if they don't have a proper kids menu, it's easy to find something they like). The beers choice is great, very diverse and the staff is nice. The food is classic German food, not over the top but nice. They forgot part of our sides that was supposed to come with our dish but brought it in a box to bring back home.

just came from the Octoberfest at Saint Alfonso's they didn't have any German beer ??? so we wound up here and had a great time good beer and the food was fantastic. bartender was very friendly took good care of us. Waitress didn't seem like she was having very much fun working, but didn't spoil our time.

Das essen war gut! The food was really good. There were four of us and we each had something different and the were all delicious. The waitress was on top of things and was always there to fill our water or bring us another beer. The Bar itself is just that, it's an older bar, lots of memorabilia hanging but it was nice too. We enjoyed our meal, with 4 meals and steins of beer our total came to about $97.00. We will go back.

The more I visit the more I lover Resi's. We went on Friday which was the first day of their new cook. The menu was limited to schnitzel and brats but to be honest I don't think they need more than that! The schnitzel was the perfect pairing with a few 0.5L of great German beer. Can't wait for the next time!

The absolute best authentic German restaurant bar. A full German menu with the highest quality and fresh made food. They have the most wonderful authentic German beer selection of any place I've been. The service is fast, extremely courteous, and the bartenders are hot!

I stumbled upon this place on a Wednesday night. The food was amazing and the customer service was top tier. The Bartender, Dakota was very attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. I will definitely be coming back and recommending this place to others as well.

Awesome Authentic German Tap with great selection. Dakota and Mike are great bartenders. The local chef in the kitchen puts out some awesome schnitzel and german sausages. Always a good vibe with a variety of tunes.

This has been our go-to place for delicious German beer and wurst-especially in the summer when their patio is open. The small space is spacious so you do not feel cramped. The inside hasn’t changed and that just adds to the charm of a neighborhood bar where you can hang. The servers are friendly and accommodating. The food is superb. The menu offers a good variety of German food. Starting with the salad that is dressed with the best tasting vinaigrette ever. You can get just about every kind of wurst you’d want. The schnitzels are freshly prepared and tasty. The goulash soup is always a hearty choice especially when Chicago winters arrive.

We sat on the patio which is so nice! It has so much space and various table sizes. I ordered the sausage dinner with one bratwurst and one Sheboygan. Both were delicious! I also loved the potato salad it came with. It's the best potato salad I've had in my life. It's a different style than what I'm used to but much better.

Incredibly friendly bartender, knowledgeable about German beer and German food (not that he was quizzed or anything). Jägerschnitzel was incredible, with a side dish that took me by (pleasant) suprise. Go here and experience it for yourself. I recommend going when it is cold outside for maximum coziness.

First time here and placed a take out order of two schnitzel dinners. The food was excellent and the service was great. We checked out and tried several of their German beers while we waited for our order. Would definitely return again.

Sorry that we couldn't eat no cooks showed up but had that awesome German beer that I love

They were out of at least 50% of what was on both the food and beer menus. Our server couldn't keep anything straight and brought us the wrong food. The issue was corrected, but after striking out multiple times with ordering, it was extra frustrating.

Just great memories of Resi's, going all the way back to my first visit in 68. Mein Opa would pull me in my wagon while he'd do his sunday pub crawl to all the German bars that populated the area. We'd always end up at Resi's. I'd sit on the bar eating peanuts and hardboiled eggs, sipping on a ginger ale listening to the older men discussing how they lost the war. It was fascinating. Later, I'd hang out there as well. Great beer selection, and food was always above average. Sad so many of these neighborhood locales are gone. Glad Resi's is still doing their thing!

Hate to say it but it’s definitely a locals preferred kind of bar. The regulars got served twice next to me while I waited to to close out for about 20 minutes. Also, no prices for beers on the menu which is annoying but I come for the atmosphere and .5l pours.
