If I could give 0 Stars I would. I live on Neva ave there's 4 towers, these people do not accept new or young people. Had an incident where an elder women was knocking on my door at 2 am doesn't speak English so I couldn't help her. Reported the after hours disturbance and their solition was to go door to door to make sure everyone was ok. When I report animal abuse they told me there was nothing they could do. If your new they put you under a microscope. You can't do anything without their approval.

Outside now 85F, they still did not turn on the AC. In apartments from the south side we have hell (maybe 90F). They never care, dirty garages, maintenance guys do nothing!! One of them, the smaller one (I do not know the name), completely invisible. I see him maybe twice a month? when I ask how many hours they work, they smile. Chaos in general , laziness and lack of competence every day. The worst building in which I lived. thanks Cortland Properties Inc.

Worst management company I have ever done business with. I own a unit on Altgled in Elmwood Park. They have neglected the building as a whole and have specifically given me a hard time with my tenant. I recompensed NO association use this company and anyone who is, please write a honest review of your misfortunes. Bill over at Cortland needs a wake up call.

If I could give them -5 stars I would. These people do too much in regards to small issues and don’t put nearly enough effort towards things and issues that matter as far as building functions and maintenance is concerned. As someone who pays quite a bit of money for my building unit and location I would overall expect better.

These guys are modern mobsters. One brother is a slum lord. One brother is a crook(attorney) Together they ruin people's quality of life. With zero remorse. There is a special place in hell for these types of people. I've never experienced such negligence and ignorance in the same place. Do yourself a favor and turn around and run the opposite way from these people in any professional atmosphere

I have been trying to get a hold of them for almost 3 weeks without a returned called and by email. The lack of follow up and responsiveness feels like a slap in the face from a company that is in the people business and to provide service. 0 Stars is more like it. Unreal

This place need to screen there tenants more often seems like it's all about the MONEY to them the police are here every month 10pm 1am 3am just look it up the police department keeps records everytime they come out for complaints also Cortland never look into certain tenants that need not to renew there lease . Cortland is more concern of filling up there units than fulfilling there obligations for tenants rights respect and privacy. Also they wait weeks to call you back and most of the time if you pay a visit to there office no ones there or they leave hours early before during there time of operation. Most of the tenants say the same thing because we talk amongst each other, Cortland doing the bare minimum to what the law requires them to do .A word to the wise do your home work people ask tenants before you live here most of us are hard working class people and we shouldn't have to pay rent to smell someone's smoking or loud noise, company, music etc etc some tenants are fed up and have left already and more will be on there way out. And to the lady at the front desk do your job stop it with the salesman pitch majority of us are very intelligent and have degrees regardless of the color or our skin religion ethnic background or origin we know when we are just getting lip service.

Quiet, easy access to walkway, available parking, and unit was in move-in condition; on-site laundry facility and office management service was superb!
