I
went
to
Delnor
Hospital
(Northwestern
Medicine)
for
an
emergency
situation
on
2/9/22.
My
insurance
was
billed
and
paid
their
portion.
I
received
a
bill
for
services
for
the
remainder
from
Northwestern
Medicine
and
immediately
enrolled
in
a
payment
plan
to
pay
the
balance.
4
months
later
I
start
getting
calls
from
a
collection
agency
saying
I
owe
Valley
Emergency
Care
money
on
a
past
due
bill.
Mind
you
we
NEVER
got
any
bills
from
Valley
Emergency
Care.
The
only
bills
we
ever
received
were
from
Northwestern
Medicine.
When
I
tried
to
contact
the
billing
department
at
Valley
Emergency
Care’,
I
was
shocked
to
find
out
THERE
ISN'T
ONE!
In
fact,
the
number
goes
to
Delnor
ER
but
the
people
I
spoke
with
at
Delnor
ER
said
they
couldn’t
help
me
and
they
kept
trying
to
connect
me
to
Northwestern
medicines
billing
department
(they
already
told
me
they
were
not
associated
with
Valley
Emergency
Care
even
though
the
services
rendered
were
at
a
Northwestern
Medicine
facility!).
I
was
transferred
to
the
voicemail
of
a
“provider”
at
Valley
Emergency
Care
but
received
no
call
back
or
explaination
Re:
billing
or
collections.
This
is
the
biggest
SCAM!
If
I
owe
money
I
will
pay
it
but
not
before
receiving
an
itemized
bill
of
services
rendered.
But
No
one
can
provide
it
because
there
isn’t
a
billing
office.
So
how
did
a
bill
even
get
generated
that
was
apparently
past
due
and
sent
to
collections
if
there
isn’t
a
billing
department?
