🫤 Triage nurse was very cold and unkind when I spoke of concern for my fathers’ severe pain while we were waiting (I was not rude nor panicking, just concerned and asking a question, but was treated as if I was a nuisance). Felt like it was a trip to a doctors office not a medical emergency room. Hour... People often mention bill, wait, Emergency,

Triage nurse was very cold and unkind when I spoke of concern for my fathers’ severe pain while we were waiting (I was not rude nor panicking, just concerned and asking a question, but was treated as if I was a nuisance). Felt like it was a trip to a doctors office not a medical emergency room. Hour and a half minimum wait. When finally called back, I had to wheel my practically unconscious father in while the nurse just stood all the way on the other side waiting. Horribly understaffed and obviously burnt out nurses in need of support. Once you’re back there being seen the staff was very kind and attentive which was the only saving grace during my experience. Very sad that this is the state of our healthcare system.

I went to Delnor Hospital (Northwestern Medicine) for an emergency situation on 2/9/22. My insurance was billed and paid their portion. I received a bill for services for the remainder from Northwestern Medicine and immediately enrolled in a payment plan to pay the balance. 4 months later I start getting calls from a collection agency saying I owe Valley Emergency Care money on a past due bill. Mind you we NEVER got any bills from Valley Emergency Care. The only bills we ever received were from Northwestern Medicine. When I tried to contact the billing department at Valley Emergency Care’, I was shocked to find out THERE ISN'T ONE! In fact, the number goes to Delnor ER but the people I spoke with at Delnor ER said they couldn’t help me and they kept trying to connect me to Northwestern medicines billing department (they already told me they were not associated with Valley Emergency Care even though the services rendered were at a Northwestern Medicine facility!). I was transferred to the voicemail of a “provider” at Valley Emergency Care but received no call back or explaination Re: billing or collections. This is the biggest SCAM! If I owe money I will pay it but not before receiving an itemized bill of services rendered. But No one can provide it because there isn’t a billing office. So how did a bill even get generated that was apparently past due and sent to collections if there isn’t a billing department?

On a Thursday around noon I have been sitting in the waiting room for over 3 hours just to see a doctor. This is unacceptable for the wait time. I have never imagined if a urgent situation they would have me wait this long in the WAITING ROOM.

Best care and treatment I've received from any ER thus far! The staff works well under presure and as a team. They did an excellent job insuring that I was comfertable and my health remained stable. Thank you , L.L, M.A. and Dr. C For those less experienced with E.R visits. The out of pocket expense is relative to your personal insurance. In most cases payment arrangement can be made. Aside from the sticker shock, It's more comferting to know you where able to recieve treatment. Yes, there is a wait for non life threatening emergencies. I sympathize as I understand how enduring the wait can be, especially if faced with an uncertain health concern or condition.

Everyone from the moment I walked in was friendly, patient and compassionate. From the receptionist, registration, X-ray and all the medical staff. Even though it was very late at night. Way better than surrounding hospitals!

Unprofessional. Received a bunch a small bills from them, in addition to one large bill from the hospital, paid them all off a few months ago. Started getting collections calls because apparently a bill for $26.09 was not paid. We never received this bill, nor a letter or call that we still owed that amount. They couldn’t pick up the phone and leave a friendly message or send a letter regarding the amount?! My husband called them to get clarity on the situation and they tried to point us back to the collections agency—whom I’d just spoken to and was obviously hired by them. They were useless & unprofessional. The person I spoke with from the collections agency was more professional than them.

They were going to charge $1500 for the treatment of my husband's cut finger. When he was shocked at that price, they kindly knocked it down to $850 for whatever reason. Unclear how their pricing model works, but even the reduced price is absolutely unreasonable. We later got a bill in the mail for another $100, because the first charge was just for the hospital, apparently, and then they bill the actual treatment later? This is extortion, really. Can't comparison shop for emergency treatment when it's after 5pm and you can't stop the bleeding!

Long and agonizing wait time. This is the second time in row that I am waiting here for hours. Extremely under staffed. Most nurse stations are empty. Emergency waiting area is filled! The overblown bills come quickly though!
