⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ For PIR Read reviews before booking!! 💯 I will be 100% honest with this and it is not exaggerating. I don't know why this isn't a solid 5 star, but it is such a great place for such a great value 👏 Went for my wife's Navy Graduation and this was such a great experience. 5 stars on service 5 stars on accommodations 5 stars on great people running the place 5 stars on honesty I left a Gold necklace in my room by mistake and they shipped it to Texas right away!

A great place to stay if you have a sailor graduating Great Lakes, or any other family stay. It's a 10 minute easy drive to the graduation hall, and these folks are set up with all you need. Anchor-hangers for your door, detailed directions of how to get there, and they screen the graduation on the large TV in the lounge, for those extra guests who aren't able to be on the list. We booked 2 suites, and they put us right next to each other. Perfect. The staff are outstanding, the beds were the most comfortable we've ever experienced (and that's saying something, we're a diverse bunch with quite different needs). The facilities are great and their breakfasts offer a choice for every different palate/diet. We left with full hearts and great memories, and can recommend this highly to all families looking for great all-round accommodation 🌺

Stayed for 4 nights and found it to be very comfortable. Ample parking, clean/spacious/comfortable rooms, friendly and helpful front staff. For where I was staying, there seemed to be only one small elevator so if you are needing greater access for mobility, you definitely want to request one of the accessibility rooms (which they seemed to have plenty of when I walked through the halls). There's a nice pool with seating as well as separate outdoor seating near their BBQ. The location is fantastic-easy access to chain restaurants but also a quick drive to Great Lakes or Libertyville.

Me and my mom were looking for a affordable hotel near the church where my aunts funeral was being held. We were visiting from Ohio the hotel was affordable, rooms were super clean. Staff was friendly hotel was quiet and family oriented. We also enjoyed the complimentary breakfast we look forward to staying. Here next we come to visit family again I also wanted add. We felt very safe in the hotel being that we were two women traveling alone!

Staff friendly and helpful. Must have transportation although there is a bus that picks up and drops off near Walmart. Lots of restaurants and shopping within a mile of the hotel. There is a $100 hold placed on your credit card for incidentals which I think is steep. I was only there for one night and prepaid my room thru Priceline. There was no mention on Priceline or Sonesta about the hold. I selected this hotel because it has a pool, but didn't know that the rooms were not connected to the hotel lobby. In order to reach the Lobby one has to go outside and the day I stayed it rained. The room was great though!

The stay was great. I wish I could remember the young lady that checked us in, bc she was great, very helpful. I was here for my son's Navy bootcamp graduation. The rooms were very nice and spacious, it was plenty of room for my family. The breakfast was really good also. If I had to go back to that area I would definitely stay here again.

This place is a great choice if you're going to Six Flags. The rooms were clean. We got a two bedroom suite and it was super spacious and great for our family. The breakfast was tasty too. The only complaint I have is that the front desk person was a little rude to us when we were coming in to get some pool towels. Oh well, overall, we enjoyed our stay and will likely stay again.

We stayed 4 days and basically had an okay shelter with a nice breakfast. My first shower I noticed the body wash was empty and they never did refill it even though we asked. The couch was absolutely uncomfortable. We had to bring out all the pillows to make it usable. All the TVs went out and we were supposed to receive a call from a company to help and it never happened. Finally after missing half the game we were watching we were successful with resetting the boxes ourselves. Also I have never been asked to take my trash out to the dumpster myself at a hotel. Not a big deal but weird.

    1. Charged a $100 fee they claimed would be refunded at checkout. Wasn’t refunded. 2. Asked for receipt at checkout and clerk couldn’t figure out how to use printer. 3. Said receipt would be emailed. It hasn’t been. 4. Nothing on website says they don’t clean room, take out trash, or replace towels. They didn’t do anything in the 3 days we stayed. 5. Said we had to bring old towels for new towels. We did, and they were out of towels. Told to come back later. Tried again 3 hours later and no towels. 6. Everyone put their trash in hallway since nobody cleans rooms. 7. Fridge handle missing. Couch was bowed in middle and unusable. Floors hadn’t been vacuumed and was dirty when we arrived. Wall paint was peeling and ceiling had cobwebs. Tried covering odors with plug in air fresheners. 8. TV cable box didn’t work. Desk was no help. 9. If you want breakfast, get there fast. When it’s out, it’s out. They didn’t replace anything on two out of three mornings we were there. 10. Hallways stunk of dope smokers in rooms. 11. Too close to highway. Highway noise kept us awake. Couldn’t drown out traffic noise with TV because TV didn’t work. 12. Saw previous response claiming they are proud of their cleanliness and service…..it’s either an auto-reply or they are clueless about what goes on at their property. 13. Will never stay at or recommend a Sonesta again. Worst place I have ever stayed.

We didn't use a room just the conference room for a meeting. Very clean and modern. Front desk person was awesome, helpful and friendly!

Stayed for over two months and the staff is just wonderful! They remember specific details about us and always looked out for us. They were always willing to go above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Any issues we had were resolved extremely quickly. The breakfasts are also great! The gym is very small and there isn't much in the immediate area to do, but it is easy to get a rideshare.

Beautiful clean, great place to lay your head on vacation. When I ever visit again, it will be right here. The only problem was that the key had to be reactivated twice. It was no fun being locked outside the hotel and having to wait. ALSO, put some water in the pool, please, and open it up.

**update** After staying at this hotel for 22 nights (checking in and out over several weeks,) I will not earn any points or upgraded member perks, because I booked through United which was still cheaper than booking through the members website that has a discount. For work, I have stayed at several different hotels in the area. I prefer this one, because this is an extended stay suite where you have a full refrigerator, 2 burner stove top, dishwasher, and kitchen with dishes. I have not had time to use the amenities. Pets are accepted. The rooms are not very sound proof. The person on 2nd/3rd shift is super friendly and easy to talk with.

Rooms are decent. Service is awesome. Located right across from many stores and restaurants. Love the home feeling having a little kitchen in the room. Very good price.

Avoid at all cost, they charge an additional $100 per room for accidentals when you check in, they don't have house keeping and the staff is rude, they told me to bring my dirty towels down and they would give me clean ones, like what? The beds are uncomfortable and they don't have breakfast and walls super thin. Stick to better hotels in the area and enjoy a better stay somewhere else.

First off the positives: Roomy suite, pet friendly, nice pool and hot tub area, comfortable beds, and a full kitchen. Negatives: Terrible internet, kept cutting in and out, very uncomfortable couch that was dirty and stained, outdated and rickety furniture, people in parking lot drinking and smoking weed every night, mediocre breakfast which consists of microwave sandwiches and prepackaged danishes. Was ok overall but would probably look elsewhere next time

Staff was extremely friendly and nice, room was clean and lovely, only complaint is the bed messed up my lower back so I was tight in the mornings but aside from that is was a great stay! Will definitely come back next time I'm in the area.

I would HIGHLY recommend this place. Shamiya and Christina were very welcoming and polite once we arrived. The rooms are exactly as shown in the picture. Everything was clean and felt like you were home.

I had a hard time finding this place, but after arriving late at night, in a not so nice neighborhood my first impressions of this place were not good. I walked in and was greeted by a couple of people, who didn’t seem to happy. They began interrogating me and asking me the purpose of my trip and asking many other questions. It made me feel a little uncomfortable as I was visiting for a nearby concert. We proceeded to check in and walk through a long hallway to get to our room. We open up the front door only to get a whiff of dog smell. This place apparently is pet friendly. I don’t have anything against pets, but if your not a pet owner the smell can be overpowering. I walked around the room and smelled it everywhere. The furniture was very outdated and the carpets were covered in stains. I called the front desk and requested to cancel my reservation. We drove up the road to stay another place which was a night and day experience for less money. If your a pet owner it may not be that bad, but I couldn’t do it.
