I made a reservation for three nights but ended up not needing the first night. When I arrived to check in, I learned that they had charged me for the first night but cancelled the rest of the reservation with no call, text, email or other notice. No apology or explanation from the staff and no response from management to my email.

Customer service was very poor. The ladies at check in where extremely rude and not personable at all. I took a nap on the couch and didn’t wake until 3am and got into bed. I noticed the bed had a very strange smell and I sprayed the sheets down with disinfectant hoping it would help but it didn’t. I called the front desk and requested if someone would come change the sheets and the lady responded “ you’ve been in this room for x hours and you’re just now getting into the bed? I can’t say that someone will come to change the sheets but i’ll make the request.” I don’t know what’s going on in the water at this hotel but I wish the folks were kinder. I walked through the lobby a few times and was never greeted either.

The room was neat. We had a king bedroom with a pull couch. So 4 people can sleep in the room. It came with a fridge. There is a microwave by the ice machine on each floor. They provide paper plates and plastic utensils, the microwave was clean. I was given a complimentary water bottle at check in, which was neat. They do have a bar but it was only open Monday-Thursday due to staffing. They provide breakfast for a charge which is not bad for what they have to offer. Overall the stay was good. Thank you to Lisa at the front desk for answering my questions.

Surprisingly comfortable stay in Vernon Hills. Lots of restaurants and stores nearby, and nice private lobby seating. There's also a short bar in the lobby for some food and drink. The main reason I will return, though, is the mattress, sheets, and pillows! Super comfortable!

Don't expect free coffee or breakfast here. Room service once in 4 days. Had to get in Room coffee tea bags from the front desk. Nice rooms but not worth the price.

Outstanding services and Guest Hospitality! Trizha and Nikki were absolutely amazing! They both went above and beyond quality service—they were terrific! Could not be more satisfied. Thank you 🙏🏼. I definitely plan on staying at this location again in the near future.

Nice rooms. Can't give 5 stars to a hotel that doesn't offer free coffee.

One of the best gyms you will see in a Courtyard property. Plus, the Des Plaines River running trail is less than 1/4 mile away from this property.

Very clean and we'll kept. Surprisingly empty. The walk in shower is great, they ditched the mediocre typical hotel tub. No continental breakfast when we were there, unfortunately.

Nice, clean, and recently renovated, this is a very nice Courtyard. It’s actually nicer than most Marriott-branded hotels. Comfortable furniture, outlets where I need them, and a good mattress… that’s a good night’s stay.

My friend booked us a room for girls night and it was the worst experience we ever had. Don’t recommend

Extremely poor customer service. I called at night the front desk requesting for firm pillows if available. They answered me and told me that he is working here he was transferred here for the night and if i need to firm pillows to call back tomorrow morning . The whole purpose was to sleep good at night because all the pillows in the room were soft and i can't sleep well with soft pillows. I haven't experience this with Mariott before and it's upsetting because I've paid high price to stay here and expect better service.

This place was completely updated during the pandemic and in my opinion, is a better place to stay than the resort down the street.

Everything was nice but the bistro experience wasn't great. Sandwich very hard and employees weren't well trained. I would skip the bistro.

Fam stayed here for couple nights. Remodeled in September. On going into room picked up hand towel to dry face and saw somebody had used it as buttwipe/TP. Immediately brought it up to front desk where they continually apologized. After kid saw towel and pulled a face they told us they would add points to account. Still haven't seen points or heard back since checkout.

It’s very clean and recently updated. But the sink in the bathroom is too small. And there is ‘no room for a toiletry bag, let alone 4 (family). Plenty of hooks, which is a plus.

Service was fine, and the cleanliness and sleep quality was fine as well, but this place gives off the vibes of an old hotel that has been given a fresh coat of paint, and some issues have seeped through the cracks. Don't pick this hotel if you're looking for a classic family vacation destination, as there is no pool and no complimentary breakfast. (But you can pay for breakfast items at the onsite cafe or use the fitness center that seems to have replaced what was a pool area.) Some small complaints are the lack of microwaves in the rooms and the mowing starting at 8:30am Monday morning. The most inconvenient part of our stay was the poor quality of the mini fridge. Not only was it impressively small, but it barely generated its own cold. We had to put a bag of ice in there with our food to make sure it wouldn't go bad, which was inconvenient due to the aforementioned lack of space.

😠 Friendly staff, HORRID mattresses (even my father-in-law and wifes cousin's complained about them) "mehh" breakfast.
