Beware this location - the people working the front desk check me out of my room while I wasn't here and then let some other people go into that room and then they took my possessions out of the room and held them behind the front desk. They stole over $1,000 in cash as well as several personal items from me. I've just spent the last several hours getting a police report. The police and other employees here all believe that it was the front desk people who either stole from me or let their friends into the room and it was their friends who stole from me. I don't know what happened but definitely watch yourself here. Avoid this location

My family was down here for the weekend for a soccer tournament. As we were checking in there were two other families stating how their room was dirty & not up to par. That should’ve been a red flag. We checked our pull out couch & found food on the edge of the mattress (baked bean) along with dead ants all over the edges. We checked for bed bugs & found a left over body part of the insect. I work in a hotel myself & thankful I checked before laying my children on it. The mattress had stains all over , which we could deal with. We had a gentleman come check & he told us all he could do is clean it up & put a cover on it (that did not cover the whole mattress). We asked for a different Mattress or at least a different room & they stated they did not have another room or mattress available. Not the hospitality nor customer service I thought we were going to receive. Very disappointed ! We had four people sleep on the king size bed & dealt with it (we will see how the rest of our stay looks like , we are currently looking for a different hotel to stay at).

Hotel was pretty good but had an issue with the TV being locked. I needed assistance from the desk every time the tv turned off from the sleep timer. I couldn't change the input with out them using their master remote. Other than that, it's nice and quiet and the location is pretty great being in walking distance from so many good places to eat.

Honestly, having traveled around a bit and stayed in numerous hotels...this places is pretty top notch. The location is prefect for traveling. They are located next to the highway and multiple resturants. They have a superb breakfast. Sausage, pancakes, cinnamon rolls, oatmeal and much more. I would stay here again 100%.

Two nights total was $430. Location is great for highway access, restaurants and location to Vernon Hills Athletic Complex. Nice to have a complimentary breakfast but nothing special. Staff was friendly, rooms could be cleaner.

This hotel was very nice, it looked updated and very new. They had a nice little breakfast nook and a good-sized pool. Also, there are many stores and a mall in the area. So it's very convenient.

Wonderful hotel with very clean rooms and comfortable beds and pillows. A nice park across the street to walk your dog. Great breakfast in the morning. The only thing missing is biscuits and gravy haha. The coffee is my only complaint. I can’t drink it. It’s horrible tasting, but everything else about the this location is 5-stars for sure! The pool water is always a great temp as it’s inside and the pool area is always clean! My only complaints are the coffee and the cigarette smokers that stand by the doors. They should walk at least 25 feet away from the entrance. This is a non smoking building, so everyone goes outside to smoke. Some smokers are not considerate of non smokers and like to stand right by the door.

It was a great stay!! The room was ready for check-in when we arrived and 11:30 am. That made all the difference after traveling all night. The room was perfect!!

I had a great experience, the room was clean, the staff was friendly, and the free breakfast with various options was great. It is a bit away from the town and any tourist attractions, except for that, everything else was great.

The facility is very clean and up to date. Staff is very friendly, some of the most comfortable pillows I’ve had in hotels.

I think them being called a 2 star hotel is pretty accurate. They didn’t come in to make the beds or give new towels. Had to go to the front desk to get new ones. Which isn’t a big deal but is like the most basic thing a hotel can do. Warm water is apparently a luxury that 2 star hotels don’t have, as our showers were Luke warm or freezing. Second IHG hotel in a month and both experiences were very subpar.

Booked room through mobile app hours before arriving a late night drive. Mobile app accepted the room. The hotel declined the room 15 minutes before arriving (we were going to sleep there from 2:30am - 9am). We were not able to stay there. I had to call and dispute. It took 45 minutes to get reimbursed.

Overall the hotel was really nice, the placement for the breakfast room was a little odd but they had a great selection in the morning. The elevator area on the upper floors was a little cramped especially with the ice machine right outside of the elevator along with the room for all the housekeeping supplies for that floor. The hallways are kind of dark as are the stairwells, however the stairwells are very spacious to the point I am actually surprised that on The Landings between levels they didn't put any chairs or anything because the space is big enough you could have two chairs or a bench to sit on. The rooms had a nice green accent wall, and white bathroom white sink area, so when you turned on the lights it made it very bright, and the lighting in the rest of the room was also great. There was a small movable table that you could adjust the height for, but the one in our particular room was broken so you could not raise it and it's stay raised, so that was a little disappointing. The couch for the pull out bed was also a little off in our room, I don't know if it was just the bed didn't get folded in quite right or what have you, just sitting on it felt a little off somehow. The only real thing that I would say kept this from being a great stay would be the elevator. I looked at the paper inside the elevator, and it said the safety for it needed to be reviewed in December of this year, however.... I'm not entirely sure about that! The way that the elevator creaked and felt at times had me feeling a little bit anxious, and gripping the safety bar just in case; and the only stable one in there was against the back wall. I'm someone that loves the old wooden roller coasters, but I would prefer it if the elevator I am using to get to an upper floor DOES NOT sound like one of said roller coasters!!

In town for a medical appointment. Hotel we normally stay at was booked so we tried here. Something seemed off immediately when we checked in (it was late, though). The computer had us booked in a different room but the front desk girl switched it to a “better room”. Got in the room and there was an orange suitcase in there. Woman said no one had been in the room for a couple days. Thought that was weird but whatever, maybe I’m just being paranoid. Middle of the night, someone furiously tries to get in our room, and not just a “went to the wrong door”. They were gone before I could get out of bed and see them through the peephole. Not saying that there was an attempt at a set up but something fishy seemed to be going on.

Front Desk was amazing I ran late checking out due the Navy Graduation and the owner was very lenient with time and didn’t allow cleaners to touch my belongs until I arrived back to pick them up before the airport! I would definitely stay here again my room was perfect for my daughter and I.

Nice place, friendly staff, nice, clean, modern rooms, but the TVs are smaller than typical similar hotels and the ice machine was out on 3rd floor at night and still in the morning. My main complaint is, our room smelled terrible when we got there. Like bad body odor, wet feet etc. Wasn't pleasant at all, but being we arrived late in the evening, we just accepted it. Otherwise, it's a typical Holiday Inn Express that holds to the standards of their other franchisee hotels.
