Bar

😠 Don't bother going there if you want to get judged by your ethinicity and be asked to leave within minutes of arriving because Sharon the bartender said one guy from our group of 10+ was too drunk. 🙄 BTW....the guy she said that was drunk from our group was the DD....Meanwhile the entire bar was... This is not a bar for ethnicity or minorities! The bartender had me wait for almost 10 minutes for a drink! Then at that point I realized I don’t belong here. Again this is just my experience I’m pretty sure it’s probably a great place for someone else but for me, next!

She just likes the normal white people crowd and nothing else. What a shame!!! I say this because as she continued to tell our group (yes of Hispanics, willing to spend some good money on drinks and tip) that we had to leave as she serves this girl that was clearly drunken than sin and couldn't hold herself up. (Mind you I have pics). Way to go Sharon, you racist hillbilly!!!! Never again! I hope this place runs it's course and closes down. Or the very least retire Sharon.

Usually love this bar as our get away from the downtown bars. But this guy brian with a flipped back American trucker hat and American flag hoodie kept hassling us for our IDs when he doesn’t even work there. Drunk and wanting to hit on every girl. he stole tips and ordered drinks on other ppls name made it the worst time ever. Will come back but if he is there I’ll turn the other way.

I grew up in Libertyville and used to like this place. I recently returned in 2022 to find it in sad shape. Dirty, poorly managed to say the least. All of which I could have lived with, except their staff was demeaning and aggressive and started kicking people out 1 hour before their supposed "open until" time. About 30 minutes shy of close they started targeting what I can only assume as non-regulars to kick us out specifically. When asked what time they closed, which was 3am, they said they run on "bar time" which apparently meant 230am. Funny thing is they targeted certain groups specifically and completely ignored others (presumably 'regulars' or 'favored people') sitting at the bar who were welcome to stay however long they wanted. A sad degradation of a local bar. Will not return. They also would not allow anyone to play darts, which is the only reason we went there to begin with.

As a travel nurse, this is likely one of the worst bars I've ever been to.Not only did the owner play her favorite song over and over again but she would serveVery good beer and plastic cups even though I asked for a glass mug.It was aHorrible place to watch March Madness. And seemingly the locals toleratedThe pathetic nature ofThe owner. This is likely the wurstbar I've been to in the United States.

It’s a great dive bar! Only problem is that the people who work their/owners definitely hate younger crowds. They scowl at you, are rude, and definitely want you to leave ASAP. But it’s a dive bar with great prices and good vibes despite the attitudes. They just need to lighten up as the older crowd will become the minority quickly

Negatives: the owner, the older women is racist towards people that aren’t white. They seem to not like younger crowds. It’s an old little bar so, i odnt mind the atmosphere. The prices are fine. I just think the owner of it is super rude when she is in.

Got kicked out of the place for no reason at all. 3 of us went in, got a drink each and after a few minutes this girl walks up to us talking smack, I'm sure she got us confused, but then her friends and others started racially abusing us. Blonde bartender kicked us out, police came in and they were still chanting racial slurs at us in front of the officers.

Small, quirky and the antithesis of a corporate chain bar. Don’t come here expecting flaming cocktails fancy decorations. It’s a jukebox and dartboard Irish pub. But it’s a great place to meet a friend for a beverage after work.

Phone does not work or workers claim it does not. Not wheelchair accessible. Consistently since 2018, probably one of the most disrespectful and unsafe establishments in all of Libertyville after 11pm, from what I’ve gathered. Fine during the day when the male owner is around. Fine each night the owner is around, awful the other times. Great dive bar like in a college town for if you need to slam a few shots and bar hop (if you can even get your order taken) and not so great for anything else. Maybe great for locals if they know you and decide to serve you. As for actual service, your presence can and will be acknowledged but if you want to get served go elsewhere for a drink because you’ll be waiting around forever even if nothing else is going on. Any time I went for a drink, it was a hassle to get one. I’m not sure if it’s because of how I’m dressed or if it’s because I don’t know the bartender… it’ll be on slow evenings too. All staff minus the owner is awful to deal with in getting a drink. Just really blunt and rude like you shouldn’t have the audacity to be there in their presence. Take your bad day somewhere else. A few months ago… One man was over served at this bar and passed out in his car drooling with his music blasting until 3am. It was extremely clear he was blacked out. When I asked where his friends were, they had gone home. When I asked where he had been drinking, he pointed to the bar. Luckily his mother in law was able to pick him up otherwise I’d have called 911. Point being: how is being over served not a thing of the past? As for the further disrespect… Not only does this place stay open the latest of all bars in Libertyville, but they also allow patrons to stay outdoors partying in their outside area past quiet hours/patio close and also past bar closing, all while being louder than the acceptable noise limits for the area at 2am. I’ve asked, several times, the establishment to control their patrons after 1am from yelling and being loud. This doesn’t seem like a big request considering that’s only 3 hours of asking people to stay inside while they drink, which the bar owner confirmed verbally was to be policy. Their excuses ranged from “I didn’t know” to “I’m just closing up” to “I’m not the owner” type of thing. All of the other bars are respectful towards the community on this side of Milwaukee. Minding all of the above, this isn’t even a club or a club-like setting. This is a small shotgun building that serves drinks located in a parking lot. I understand this is a hopping area and bars are going to be open late, but people live here too and all of the other bars seem to have the noise issues figured out by now, safety concerns figured out (no drunk people loitering outside), and know how to appropriately serve clientele so they don’t get alcohol poisoning.

Volatile bartender Sharon. Patrons over served frequently. Security limited. Locals preferred.

Fight club starts around 1 am on weekends. Women ‘nope’ out fast after a few minutes inside. Never been here without seeing blond bartender shouting. Wood floors are pitch black from grime.

OMG! Sharon is the BEST!! The vibe is awesome! Try Wednesday nights if you can. Open mic night is a mix of good fun and good music. It’s a little daunting when you ask for liquor they are out of and the bartender will disappear into the women’s bathroom and magically appear with your liquid morsel, but fear not, the storage is tucked behind a door that happens to be in the bathroom. Ha! Love this place! Give it a whirl for a local delight for drinks and good people.

Back in town visiting and Island Tap is as great tonight as it was last time! Great people and reasonably priced. Looking forward to going back again.

Great casual bar. My first time wandering in with some friends. Sports were on the TVs, a dart board and digital juke box for entertainment. Guinness and Harp on tap among with bottles of domestics. Perfect low key bar
