This place is wonderful. The staff is amazing. It was my first time here and I would 10/10 recommend. Food was delicious! I told our serve it was the first time I’ve ever been here and they brought us a sample of their amazing buffalo dip, they didn’t have too and they made my experience wonderful.

Best thing on the menu is the pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw on Texas toast. Nashville spy chicken sandwich is not bad. Brisket is very dry at this location and the Northbrook location.

The food is delicious and the staff are incredibly friendly! What more could you want? We stopped in for a birthday lunch and Titiana went out of her way to make our visit special! Thank you for the great meal and excellent service!

The bbq brisket was PURE salt. I could not even finish my sandwich because I had to take bites of cornbread dipped in sweet BBQ sauce just to get rid of the extreme salt taste in my mouth. Please for the love of god reduce the sodium content in your brisket. I have had salty food before, I consider myself salt capable but this was at another level. The cornbread was good though.

Did City Barbaque catering for my wedding, not only did they get there on time, they set up and tore down and were very respectful. The food was amazing, exactly like when we did the tasting. 100% would recommend this for anyone. It is now my favorite Barbaque place. Also thank you, Veneisha for all that you did and how flexible and quickly you responded.

Had the scorpion burger and was not impressed. It was not spicy at all and a bit too sweet. The bun felt like it just came out of the refrigerator? Why not warm it up or something. The service is always good here and they do have the best fried pickles in the area.

Busy Sunday. We walked in to the entire restaurant preparing a wedding catering order. We were told it would be a second before we could order because of it. We finally placed our order of a brisket sandwich, green beans, mac and cheese, pulled pork, 2 hot links and hush puppies. We watched the whole crew continue to work the catering order. About 6 more couples came in behind us and placed orders. No one worked on eat in orders. After 25 minutes of waiting, a lady came out and started wiping tables. She stopped and told us she appreciated our patience while they prepared the catering order. I asked if we were going to have to wait until the order was completed and she didn't have an answer. Shortly thereafter, our food came out. I thought that was very poor planning on their part to have at least 8 different orders waiting, watching them work on the large order. More employees perhaps? All told though, the food was delicious. We were just really disappointed in the service.

After a long day of work on a Monday September 18th at that, it’s always super refreshing to experience great customer service. This place was a 10/10, it featured a very diverse staff that were all welcoming and catered to making this experience memorable. Each worker took extra time making sure to give me everything I needed to make my meal enjoyable. I never do reviews but someone has to see this please go here I promise it feels just like home.

Every time I eat here it gets better. Corn pudding, greens, peach cobbler, ribs, brisket, cornbread, toast, and the list goes on! The staff is always great and helpful. Best bbq I've had in a while.

Great food and even better service! My family and I visited for the first time a few weeks ago. When the cashier found out it was our first time there he offered my son a free cookie. While eating dinner a woman stopped by and gave us peach cobbler for dessert - It was amazing! I’m 8 months pregnant and have been craving it ever since. For Mother’s Day my husband and I stopped by to pick up dessert to go and had another great experience from the moment we walked in. When it was time to pay we were told it was on the house. It made our day and the cobbler was just as good as I remembered!

I came here for a take-out salad with BBQ meat on top and was pleasantly surprised by the overall presentation and cost. I paid under $10 for my lunch and it was great. There's another BBQ place nearby that charges over $14 for a lunchtime salad so, I was happy to see I can get a reasonably priced good BBQ salad in the area. My only complaint with the place was they gave me pre-packaged containers of their signature BBQ sauces and both were loaded with high fructose corn syrup which is bad for you and an ingredient I avoid. I would hope the sauces offered at the restaurant are better but I suspect come from the same place. My salad was a good portion along with the pulled pork I had for my meat.

To start the food is some of the best BBQ I've ever had, definitely recommend the Chipotle BBQ sandwiches, or the ribs. But the best part of this place is the service, the employees are incredibly nice and considerate. I've had unfortunate timing with cornbread a couple times not being ready and I've gotten a comped side both times. I wish I could rate this place higher, I will always come back here when I'm in the area, they've made a customer for life.

Ordered through DD and the food was great. Had pulled pork sand...mac-cheese...baked beans...cole slaw. Everything was delicious and arrived on time and was warm. Would order again in a heartbeat. ( baked beans best ever) !

Great Thanksgiving Day offer complete with whole turkey and huge sides. Happily fed a group of 12 and no 5 hours slaving over an oven! Thanks to the hard working crew that had everything ready to go on time for an easy pickup.

Food was fantastic.. brisket was on point. The biggest thing was the staff explaining everything in detail and even helped us save money on our next visit as wel,, checked in on us during our meal which they did with everyone else. Highly recommend check this place out.

Tried this establishment out which is near where i work. Ordered the Nashville chicken sandwich with a side of fries. After taking a few bites of the sandwich, I noticed the chicken was still raw in the middle of it and felt very uneasy as a result. Did not finish my food as I was scared of getting sick. I may have gotten an outlier but I do not recommend this place given my experience.

As much as I like bbq when it takes 15 min and the meat still comes to you cold cmon guys you gotta want us back and it's not cheap to go here. Staff seemed in a grumpy mood no smiles no thanks just child meat on a plate.

I came back, different location. Came for the turkey tacos. Super nice cashier. Excellent tacos. Not texmex nor original Mexican. Their own idea but really delicious. Scored on some banana pudding above delicious. Clean everything, clean bathrooms best service! Visited two locations, so far, same quality level. Well trained staff, well stocked restaurant, manager treated people with respect. Barbecue food, pulled pork etc. All top notch.

Very good brisket and smoked turkey and unsweetened tea. That turkey is a hidden gem. If it's available for Thanksgiving, it will be served at our table. The sausage here is well prepared but is not Italian sausage, and, hence, lacks the texture found therein. My review is of just this Vernon Hills store location, but perhaps Italian sausage would sell better in locations closer to Chicago, if it isn't already offered there. Finally, service here is friendly, polite and attentive.

Ordered the beef brisket with bbq baked beans and potato salad for sides and everything was excellent and mouth watering, this is a must visit when in the area.
