The location is good, IF and truly only if you're staying for the Navy Base. Otherwise, it is inconvenient. However, the stay begins with you opening your car door and inhaling the smell of Sleep Inn's garbage. Yes, the smell of their trash. It permeates everywhere. The parking is cramped, and the parking lot is dirty, matching the smell. The lobby is okay but cluttered. The rooms are expensive and small, no tub, just a stand up shower. The fridge didn't work well, and was leaking, no microwave (and for the cost, there should be), and the overall amenities or lack there of was pathetic. Overall, it wasn't worth the price and there was no regulation on how noisy the other rooms were. We were supposed to stay for three nights. We checked out immediately the next morning. No, thank you.

It's a decent place to stay, great location, decent price, and they do offer a decent spread for breakfast. Rooms are very small though but comfortable, and no daily maid service. For a non smoking facility the hallway and stairwell at night are unfortunately full of pot smoke at least on the 2nd floor....not good when you and your child are allergic. Windows on the second floor open but there are no screens so be careful!! I would not stay again due to the drugs being used inside. When I let staff know they sprayed febreeze and asked the druggies to stop smoking inside.

Sleep Inn is known for being basic. It has a stand-up shower only, no comfy chair, no microwave, no extra end tables. However, it appears to be recently renovated, and everything is clean and up-to-date. Bed was VERY comfortable. We stayed for three days, so we really started wishing for a room with furniture besides a swivel chair. Breakfast is two waffle makers, cold cereal, yogurt, granola bars, fruit, and packaged muffins. No eggs or breakfast meats. McDonald's and Dunkin' are adjacent to the property. Go to the Silo for pizza! Our trip was connected to the Naval training base, so for that it was absolutely a perfect location. We would recommend the hotel and would likely stay again. FYI, the Navy base has a parking garage right beside the graduation hall. The Navy discourages parking on base, but it was surprisingly easy to do. Just present your tickets, IDs, and vehicle info. Just leave a little extra time in case you are chosen for a random vehicle search.

The worst choice hotel I've walked into in 10 years. I am a business traveler who is gone about 30% of the time and a diamond member. The lot is compact and the had trash strewn about. Near the driveway was a pillow and blanket just laying in the road on the ground. I was greeted by a clerk and tried to check in. I advised there was an authorization form for payment sent. At the end of my check-in she asked me to swipe the card. I continued, saying I had told her they had an authorization form for payment. She called a manage, he lied and said they have a new system and they cannot check me in unless I had that card physically. They then asked for $100 deposit, I continued to explain what an authorization form is, guaranteed payment for a business traveler etc. Since they were not fully understanding I called choice and had a rep on the phone. I asked the rep if this isn't resolved is cancelling and option with no penalties. The manager and the clerk heard me say this to choice and immediately canceled my room. I never asked them to do so. It was a question to choice. They were so rude and absolutely unprofessional. There was also a large language barrier. Stay away do not waste your time here. They are less than accommodating and have shady practices of asking for an extra $100 deposit. The authorization form is guaranteed payment and there should have been no reason for the extra $100. I ended up staying a few miles away at a comfort suites near Gurnee with no issues.

Very nice, came for a Navy Graduation, picked this one, and boy is this a good one. Nice beds, clean and all, bathroom was nice and clean, nice soap and stuff. They also had things like an iron and the table for it, plus a mini fridge. Very convenient location, as it was close to the base, a Dunkin’ Donuts-Gas station and a McDonald’s. Very worth it price.

Great for 1 night maybe 2 nights max. If you're a light sleeper, just bring ear plugs and you'll be fine (this should just be a standard practice when staying anywhere over night). There is some utility noise (water/plumbing). Bed was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast included cereal, fruits and make your own waffles. There was no microwave in our room, just a fridge/freezer combo.

Very close to where I need to go for my daughter's Naval boot camp graduation. The room was clean. The check-in lady was friendly. Overall, I had great experience. Recommended.

BEWARE OF BED BUGS! I would not recommend staying in this hotel under any circumstances. Before my stay, I looked at the hotel’s overall rating of 4.2 out of 5 stars and decided that would be acceptable. I did not read the individual reviews at that time. After my stay, I discovered this hotel has a history of recurring complaints regarding bed bugs. The night I spent in Room 222 was ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! I was bitten by bed bugs throughout the sleepless night. I found bed bug eggs in my hair. With the history of complaints regarding bed bugs in this hotel, it appears the hotel is doing nothing to eradicate this ongoing problem or doing an extremely poor job of trying to do so.

There were ants in our first room which we did not find out until the morning after we slept our first night. We pulled out the nightstand they were crawling on and there was trash and a French fry behind it, it clearly had not been pulled out or cleaned in some time. Super gross and unsettling. When I mentioned it to the front desk they just put us in a different room which we were grateful for but it seemed weird that it didn't seem to be a surprise.. Breakfast was better than expected for the price and the beds were comfortable.

Super comfortable, basic but great stay all the way through. We came for a Naval graduation and had to book a stay last minute and would definitely recommend if you’re just staying for a few nights.

Rooms were clean and comfortable and desk persons were helpful and friendly. And close to the Navy academy. I thought it was wonderful they had a wall of pics of our new Navy graduates as well from other families that stayed there.

It was close to the Naval base which is what we needed. Breakfast was also okay. I paid for 2 rooms for 2 nights each for my family to visit for the Naval Graduation. Both rooms were supposed to be 2 queen beds but they were not queens, they were full beds. The room on the 1st floor was okay, but our 2nd room on the 2nd floor had mold on the ceiling. No service to rooms, but we were able to request some extra towels. You have to take your own trash to a dumpster at the back of the hotel.

This hotel served me perfectly. I needed basic things like breakfast and a safe location near the Great Lakes Navy RTC. This place was perfect for me and my need. The staff were kind, my room was clean, the breakfast was good. The best part for me besides the hotel itself was how close in proximity it is to everything I needed to do. There is also a convenience of plenty of food options in sight from the hotel. I will stay here again when I visit.

Safe area, no hot water or water pressure. It's not a breakfast buffet... waffles and snack items. The beds were fine. It was OK, but way overpriced for what it was.

We traveled from South Texas for our Son's Navy Graduation & chose this lil hotel & had the best stay, Beds were extremely comfortable, room was clean but a little small, breakfast was simple, didn't hear a single noise, wasn't far from Navy Graduation, Would highly recommend!

We had a very comfortable and quiet stay. The front desk agent at check in was friendly and efficient. Room was a little old, but otherwise very clean. Location was good, close to the base and a short drive to local restaurants. Unfortunately, we left a couple of things behind but thankfully the staff turned them in and the manager, Mike, was quick to respond in helping to get the items sent back to us.
