This restaurant has a very authentic Cuban dishes. There is no right or wrong with their menu. Honestly, everything tasted good and fresh. I anticipated a lot of flavors from the Cuban coffee but unfortunately it wasn’t that special however, it was really interesting to try it out. I truly recommend to try this restaurant.

5 stars for the food, I enjoyed everything that I ordered but the service wasn’t the best. Server we had was very nice however she wasn’t around much so we had to wait a little bit to flag her down. Otherwise enjoyable

Elston) is a quiet place full of color on its walls and good flavor in its dishes. The menu is wide and varied. The "Cafe con Leche" is delicious! and more if you have it in a morning (brunch) in its attached garden patio 🪴

As a cuban from Miami, I was disappointed in my experience. The restaurant is super cute with tons of Cuban decor and paintings. The steak sandwich was so tiny and inauthentic. Flavor was decent but the 7 inch sandwich is about 1.5 inch wide. Not Representative of a real pan con bistec. They add cheese and avocado which isn't true to the sandwich which requires potato sticks and lettuce, onion, and tomatoes. The steak was tasty but overcooked and very tiny. Will give it another shot by eating here again and trying a dinner plate.

I have to give it up to the superb people behind this restaurant. Their portions, servers and cooks make Mayfair truly great and flavor filled. Our creative partners enjoy stopping by at any time of the day. Four thumbs up! ⭐️ p.s. Your shredded onions on top of the salmon don’t need as much salt. Everything amazing just as it is!

The cashier was amazing but the cook today was not making the food as they serve it all the time super disappointed didn’t get eat my sandwich today as I crave for this place because I’m pregnant. Please stick to the normal way of making them don’t know if I’ll be back after this experience Today March 14 the food was made amazing so I guess it a hit or miss location depending who cooking.

I don’t mean no harm when I say this but this location lacked ALOT of flavor in their food. It also tasted like the rice was reheated from the day before. They definitely gotta sharpen up on the seasonings cause the food didn’t taste like much. There was some items that we ate that was just ok. And for everything we got was almost 100 dollars. I came in with my expectations high. Left disappointed. But may I add the place was great a lot of space to accommodate. Nice spot overall. But we was the only ones in there. Change the chef and in my opinion.

The worst trocitos de Carne frita and yuca Thursday special! Yuca was sat in water too long there for what I got was water down yuca no vinegar "hospital food" just 3 onions. The meat was under cooked dangerous for pork to be left uncooked. The service was ridiculous with the dark hair lady looked miserable 😒 rolling her eyes at me when asked if I can see the size of coffee cups!! BTW water down cafe con leche... I still left her a tip felt bad for her... this was food to go! No wonder place is always empty.. Come on put some Sabor in the food !!

Delicious!! Señor Pan Café is a nice place to eat with your family, friends, or with a date. The place is clean, specious, and the staff is friendly and attentive. This was my first time eating here and I’m glad I did. We tried the Cuban sandwich (super size), Churrasco cubano, the guava pastelitos, and café con leche. The Cuban sandwich was very tasty, the bread was nice and toasty. I did ask for some hot sauce and they hooked it up with some el yucateco red habanero hot sauce which was nice and spicy and made the sandwich that much better. I also had the side of yellow rice which was very good. The churrasco cubano was on point. The skirt steak was cooked perfectly. We had a side of sweet plantains, white rice, and white bean soup. The white been soup was very good, it had a bit of a kick to it. The guava pastelitos were delicious (comfort food) and went well with the cafe con leche.

I ordered the chicken soup with half Cuban sandwich. The soup had so much chicken in it, I couldn't eat the sandwich! Everything was delicious. The server was a very kind man from Columbia, who you could tell really cared about his service, and the food he served.

I love the atmosphere...the food needs a little more attention to it...the platanos were refried and burned...the papa rellena had a taste of freezer burn. The service is excellent...please make things taste the way it used to a couple of years back! I will come again for your cafe Cubano...always!

Senor Pan makes Cuban sandwiches properly! The meat is cooked well and everything is fresh! They even put a little Cuban flag in my sandwich which I enjoyed!

I got the Cuban cravings plate and the super Sandwich De Bistec. It was a generous portion of everything and very delicious! The server was kind and our food was prepared in a timely manner. I have been looking for a go-to Hispanic restaurant near me so I am very happy to say that I will definitely be coming back!

Ordered through Uber eats, ropa vieja, sweet plantains, and congri x 2. Dropped off with no ropa vieja at all, dry tostones (no sweet plantains) for either of our orders, Tried calling the restaurant and put on hold for several minutes, then just forgotten. Tried calling back and no answer. Never again, and will post on Uber also. Too many restaurants in chicago for bad service.
