In all my years of experience with this ER, I've only met two of their doctors who even listened and weren't dismissive. My most recent experience takes the cake. I went to the ER with a massive headache. I'm 7 weeks pregnant. They just kept asking me why I thought I was pregnant. Because of several positive tests and previous experience, that's why. Then they asked if I had done one that very day, like I was making it up. Thank God I thought to ask the nurse what my blood pressure was, because it was very high. The doctor sent me away, and I was able to go elsewhere for help getting my blood pressure down. Don't get me wrong, the nurses are great. But unless Dr. Purdy is on duty, or Dr. George, stay miles away from this ER!

I have never liked this hospital. Go here if you don't wanna be taken care of. I went in with severe chest pain and left 2 hours later with severe chest pain. I am still in so much pain. Thanks for not figuring out the source of the pain or even giving me some advice on what to do next since this ER clearly has no idea what they are doing. Place should be shut down. Not to mention the massive bill I have coming.

Worst thedacare in wisconsin. Iā€™d rather bleed out & die than be treated here. Doctors misdiagnose almost every single patient. If you go to waupaca thedacare for anything, you have to see a 2nd doctor in another city because you cannot trust anything the doctors here say. TRUST ME, the 20 minute drive to Appleton or stevens point is WORTH IT!

Had a highway speed car accident with a large buck on Hwy10 back in November 2022. It was like hitting a wall, engine block dropped completely to absorb the impact on passenger side. The new SUV was totaled, and the hospital was 4 minutes away. Got excellent treatment by professional, attentive, and compassionate staff, with thorough testing for head/neck trauma and chest pain. Stayed a few hours for observation of concussion symptoms. Great coverage with my medical benefits left only $118 co-pay for me. I was visiting from out of state, and grateful for the care received.

If I could do a negative I would ! Broken toe, nail ripped off and they guy taking care of him puts a piece of gauze on it a rx for pain pills and said call your dr in the morning !!!!! It was blood through the gauze ( putting on terrible) through his dock and in his shoe ! Such poor service and professionalism would never recommend anyone going there !!!

While vacationing in the area, my husband experienced a medical emergency. I asked the Fremont Wolf River EMTs to transport my husband to the Aurora Hospital in Oshkosh, but they refused. Having heard horror stories from local Waupaca friends about this hospital I was very skeptical about the care he was to receive. After being seen in the ER, he was admitted for overnight observation. His ER care was questionable. No one really explained the extent of his illness and talked directly to my husband who was not understanding. It was as though i wasn't present. My fears of proper care were substantiated when a nurse came in the next morning, loaded my husband on the gurney and indicated they were taking him to surgery. I asked where are you taking him for what?, and the nurse tells me she had the wrong patient. She says "I'm so sorry". Never did anyone for any of his tests look at his wrist band to verify they had the right patient. Luckily I have a medical background and am always on top of the care he receives and asks questions. Not until my husband was ready to be discharged, did we see a physician and then it was a PA. Thankfully my husband has recovered fully. I now have a billing question and have been on hold for 1hr. I finally hung up, question unanswered.

This hospital is a complete joke. The care providers suck. The treatment sucks. The attitude from staff sucks. I went in with very bad anxiety attacks. Normally they give me the medication I need fir my attacks but this time. I went into the Er they asked me treatment questions and kinda made me feel like they was judging me. After that. The staff left my room for 15 minutes. I had to ask the nurse. Is anyone going to treat me? Usually you guys are giving me my larazapalm shot by now. Dr comes in. I'm going to give you benadryl. In my head I Said WHat The hell. I'm Here for my anxiety. Not a damn allergic reaction. I ask I need my larazaplm shot. Sorry I can't. Went home had more panic attacks. This hospital is terrible. Fix your damn treatment plans and listen to your patients instead of judging them. šŸ˜’ I had to drive to stevens point to get treatment āœ…ļø

I always have a good experience here. I got a blood draw and they kept me occupied while doing the draw so I wouldn't get sick! Fast and painless and I had the best ultrasound tech I've ever had in my life! She walked me through every scan she was doing and told me what she was looking for, and how everything was looking! I also love my Ob/Gyn she is very sweet and caring! I definitely recommend this hospital for expecting mothers!

I had a procedure this morning by Dr. Spencer and his team. The whole process was very professional, punctual with great communication by Dr Spencer, the anesthetist and especially by the Pre & Post Op RN Allison. I, highly recommend their services.

I was pretty nervous as someone visiting the area needing emergency care for my 4 year old and seeing the reviews as this was the nearest hospital. I was pleasantly surprised by excellent professional staff and quick attentive care. From the moment we walked through the doors we were met with compassion and kindness. The care providers were very thorough and quick. Thanks for the positive experience during our unfortunate circumstances.

I wanted to share my family's experiences with this hospital so others don't make the mistakes we did by trusting this Thedacare. My grandma had to have neck surgery. What was supposed to be one operation turned into 6 in the span of a little over a month, each one correcting something they messed up in the last. They had her drugged up so badly that she doesn't remember anything past the first operation. They had her authorizing the additional surgeries when she was in this drugged state, not even knowing where she was (seems like it should be illegal). My grandma along with the rest of the family didn't even know what all went on untill months down the line when she was released and given her records. More recently that same grandma was diagnosed with a bladder infection. They gave her 2 single pills of antibiotics and sent her home. Her symptoms continued and the infection only kept coming back due to improper treatment. She had to go back 3 more times in 2 weeks, each time only giving her the same 2 pills of antibiotics. This has put her at major risk for antibiotic resistance and a life threatening infection. We had to pursue alternative routes to get more of those same antibiotics so she could actually start to feel better. Since then she has had a few more bladder infections where the hospital has done the exact same thing. The worst experience was one that my mom had. She was having regular chest pain so she went to the emergency room. They sent her home saying nothing serious was wrong and to follow up with her normal doctor if she had any more concerns. She passed away at the age of 59 from a heart attack shortly after. This hospital time and time again is negligent and provides terrible medicine. Please use my family's experiences and avoid this Thedacare at all costs. THIS IS A PLACE YOU GO TO DIE
