The Italian Kitchen was my early Valentine’s Day dinner with my girlfriend this past weekend, and we really enjoyed it! I got the Chianti, the caprese as an appetizer, the minestrone soup, the lamb chops for my main dish, and for dessert we got the tiramisu and spumoni. My girlfriend got the risotto, which I took a bite of and was also delicious! Everything was great, and I definitely recommend this place for a nice night out!

This place is absolute best if you want delicious Italian Food. Great variety of meals to choose from with generous portions that I need a doggie bag for. Good selection of appetizers, soups, salads, and Desserts as well. The Minestrone is excellent. Service is genuinely friendly, prompt, and efficient also.🤗

We usually enjoy the food here, yet the last few times we ordered for pickup the food was cold(we live 3 minutes away), and items asked for was not in the bag or food ordered was missing. This was all within a few takeouts with a phone call every time. This last order was about it for us. The person on the phone, a bit rude, when taking order said it would be 55 minutes, for meatball sandwiches….. okay ?? The photo here is exactly the way it came for both of our meatball sandwiches, if this is the way you want to present your food that’s fine, yet maybe it’s time for improvements in your food prep, takeout containers and staff training. Our sandwiches along with our pasta dish was cold, if you are using a food warmer it is not cutting it, or if the food is going to be ready ahead of time, how about a quick text. It’s not a health issue, just trying to communicate that this is not right and not working, phone calls obviously not working. Just so everyone understands, microwaved food is absolutely horrible. Please know that we LOVE the food, things just need to be addressed.

Big Italian beef the all You can eat spaghetti. There is a catch if you get a refill and you don’t finish the refill of spaghetti you can’t take it home The spaghetti is ok

A truly incredible private dining experience served by Johnny and Emerald, who knocked it out of the park. Course after course of amazing flavors, textures, and presentation. I am astonished this restaurant is in Deerfield masquerading as a regular family style Italian joint. Best kept secret in the North Shore 🥂

The quality of the food was surprisingly bad given the price of the food and number of good reviews this place has. The food was bland and unappetizing. The pasta dishes were sitting in puddles of sauce that resembled thin soup. The spaghetti carbonara is lazily made with alfredo sauce. And I understand that a lucrative markup on alcohol is part of the industry -- but the house red wine retails for $4.99 and is barely drinkable. I do not plan on returning.

I was visiting from Maryland for my graduation with my mother and daughter and we really enjoyed being there. The staff was extremely nice and friendly. They were able to accommodate all of our simple needs and the food was amazing especially the Escargot and Veal Marsala. I'm not sure who the owner is, but they should be proud of the service the staff gives to the customers. This is a place that I would highly recommended.

Just finished another amazing meal and couldn’t be happier. The food is delicious and fresh. I can taste the love that goes into preparing each dish. The staff is always friendly and attentive. It was nice to see so many familiar faces, especially my old friend Alex. Go! Bring your family and enjoy a wonderful dining experience.

Had a pickup for the first time. Loved the crusted Salmon with great mixed veggies. My GF Chicken dish had 3 breast fillets that was excellant. The young lady Alex was working really hard and had a hilarius personality. Definately going back for our Sunday takeout...

2nd time stopping in after Cubs game. If you have been wondering where all the amazing food and customer service went to, well I found it!! They friendliest people and even the simplest dish is like eating the food for the first time!! Definitely my new favorite spot to dine 😋

Food was really good. Was a little on bland side for my personal taste. I was expecting very flavorful, since it's a non chain. I'd definitely go again

From the moment I walked in I was greeted not only with amazing customer service but the amazing aroma of deliciousness! Food was amazing service was just the same.

Had to ask for a water refil. Ordered the herbed chicken Thin and dry Asked for sauce Willing to pay for the sauce Server came back with another plate of the pre made dry thin chicken breast . Comped me 50% of the cost of my meal. I was hungry and really preferred an edible meal.

Wife and I enjoyed our 24th wedding anniversary at this little gem! Loved the food and the staff/service was great. Loved the atmosphere.

This place never dissapoints. The food is great. Atmosphere welcoming & they can accomidate a large party. An all time favorite always feel welcome!

The staff truly cares about your experience. The food and drinks are absolutely amazing. We loved the stuffed pork chop and the skirt steak. We’ll be dreaming about them until our next visit.

First I waited a ton of extra time to pick up the food Then they left out stuff that I ordered But they tried to fix the problem And the food was excellent. So the food rates 5 stars. I deducted one star for the service

We have been coming to you for great food for decades. Always get a great meal. Good service and it's always nice to see Emerald roaming around and talking with her guests. We will always be coming back for really good Italian cuisine.

Classic Italian food with friendly employees. I am always happy with my order. Their pizza is quite good as well. Pick-up is very well organized from the back. I go back to eat their when craving Italian.

Absolutely delicious here. I completely got my money’s worth with the complementary bread, amazing service, and scrumptious food. There is so much variety here and I really must say every aspect of my dinner was amazing from the appetizers right up until desert. There is so much value in visiting family owned restaurants. You get to experience dishes from other parts of the world, the people there are so friendly and welcoming. I had a very memorable experience here and will definitely be coming back again.
