We've been here twice now. Try to get here everytime we're in Cicero and the rig fits on the side of the street. They have really good pizza, you can tell the crust is homemade. Huge pieces of chicken with different sauces to choose from. We've tried the chic parm and the chic limon. They have homemade Gelato as well. We like to find these places that have been in business for years.

Wow! So happy I found this place! I was looking for a spot for lunch and read great reviews for here. They were all correct, the food is amazing. Now, we only tried the beef’s, but at the checkout was pizza which looked amazing. I’m going to have to make a few more trips to try the rest of what they offer!

This place is a gem. The gnocchi is amazing. The pizza is so fresh. And the italian ice and gelato are legit. Its been around forever and has retained its old school charm. You won't be disappointed.

We love to order the margarita spicy special thin crust, all the flavors work super tasty. t The half size is good for 2 people since pieces are big but we like the order the full size 16×12 rectangular shaped with one topping will set you back about 30 bucks 5/5. We tried the alfreado wasnt our favorite it was a bit on thick side 3/5. Bread is always fresh 5/5.Our favorite gelato is the lemonchello 5/5 very flavorful small scoop was 4.99. Freddy’s could be the best restaurant in the Chicago area. It is hidden in the west side at 16th and Austin in Cicero. It is cafeteria style, but the food is beyond delicious. I’ll start with the pizza. Their margarita is their specialty. The crust is crunchy then chewy. Then it is smothered in a perfect sauce, cheesy, then basil, sausage or supersetta. Then there is calamari pizza, mmmmm. Entres include lemon chicken, rigatoni with vodka sauce, chicken parmesan, Marcella, sausage, salads galore. Their fish salad is quite possibly the best thing I ever tasted. Squeeze a lemon on top. I have not even mentioned the deli section yet. I have been here many times but have never really delved into the sandwiches. I really like the lemon chicken and I usually take a piece of pizza home. The gelato is the best I have tasted. Smooth as silk and very tasty. The prices are a bit on the high side, but I don’t mind splurging on it, it is the best. I just talked to the owner, and he made his way out to say hello. He has been making the recipes since 1968. The markdown for atmosphere is because there really isn’t any. It doesn’t need it. It has its own street corner and that’s it. Don’t expect a fancy shmancy restaurant, but the street corner on 16th and 61st street makes for a romantic backdrop. Anne and Joe are the owners and cooks, say hello when you visit. A great famous local spot offers great food choices for example different kinds of sandwiches, salads, pizza, ice cream, different Italian foods and more I myself got a rice ball which was delicious fresh and hot they also have outside eating Which is great for hot days during spring and summer my only complaint is that the place is somewhat small and cramped there's only a narrow space left for a line to be formed with hardly any wiggle room otherwise good staff, good food great spot to get a bite to eat

Been several months since my last visit and they just keep rolling with quality selection and taste Tomato bread outstanding fresh with just enough tartness Rigatoni delicious Meatballs are top notch! Sauces are always on point!

Freddy's is not just a place to eat, it's an institution. It's a place I rode my bicycle to when I was a kid and a place that's just as good 25 years later. This is a family business and a place everyone in the area should be frequenting often. Pizza, Beef, sausage, pasta, chicken, bread, etc etc etc... everything is delicious.

A legendary Italian deli. The best in the Chicagoland area. The pizza is amazing, the sandwiches are incredible and the Italian ice is to die for. Worth driving through Chicago traffic for.

CASH ONLY! I was told to go here and drug some other people. While in line a new plate of Chicken Parmigiana came from the back. OMG it was huge and so good. Both adults ended up getting it. This is a great little place. Take the advice of the locals. The people that worked there were extremely friendly and we even had a few families talking to us about how they love the place. I am sure this place gets a ton of five star reviews, but they deserve it. We were already talking about going back when we are in the neighborhood in January. Highly Recommended!!

Deli style Italian joint with deli counter, frozen pastas, gelato freezer, pizza slices, and pasta. CASH ONLY. They warm up the food for you so you can eat it there. They also have various salads and a sandwich counter. It’s pretty affordable for the amount of food you get. Friendly staff! Unique spot in Cicero.

Every time, a lovely encounter! The staff's humor is very engaging, in my opinion. Without a question, the food in the Chicago area is some of the greatest! Since I was a child, I've never had a negative experience visiting this location, and the costs are reasonable. I'd love to keep showering them with stars forever! They are pretty kind people that always have smiles on their cheeks. It's crowded a lot of the time, and for good cause! Fantastic atmosphere, wonderful people, and amazing cuisine!

Freddys is now the place I go to when I feel "homesick" from the little shops like this all over Italy. The familiar smells, and the hospitality. Piles of fresh baked bread, next to piles and piles of foods cooked from scratch. Don't sleep on the Timballo and Focaccia, ciao!

Oh my gosh! This place is amazing. Used to work close by and haven’t been back in 10 years. The quality hasn’t changed. Authentic homemade Italian. Best pepperoni bread FYI. Cash only so be prepared. Not to miss.

A fantastic experience every time! Love the staff banter; it's always entertaining! The cuisine is unquestionably some of the greatest in the Chicago metropolitan area! And the cost is reasonable: never had a terrible experience coming here since I was a child! Wish I could give them an endless supply of stars! They are extremely friendly and upbeat all the time! It's usually crowded when I visit, and with good cause! Wonderful folks, fantastic food, and an excellent atmosphere!

I'm really over this place. The service and some workers are just horrible. My family and I are from the neighborhood and through the yrs the service has been declining and we were never die-hard regulars. How come it's been 10+ yrs of the same yelling and screaming to get something to go? Why don't you use a ticket number system? I recently went to get a few slices and just regretted it. two lady workers did the same thing to us, yelled "who is next?" I raised my hand I told her my order she walks to the cash register and starts helping her coworker ring out someone else. Another lady walked by she said "can I help you?" I then tell her my order. She then starts looking. Under the counter like she's busy and walks away!! So I continue to stand there like what else is going to happen? The guy in front of me finishes paying and he tells the lady "sorry I have no extra cash, you can just keep the change" in which the lady takes the change while rolling her eyes. I finally get my two slices and thank the guy who finally helps me and then he goes " yeah your welcome now get out of here" all under his breath like we couldn't hear him. I'm just never coming here again. Thank God I moved further west.

My family & I have gone to Freddy's pizza for ever. It's a small family take out but it has outside tables & chairs with a cover canopy. What's great about it is the warm home cooked Italian meals all displayed for your selection. Great place, I highly recommend it you'll love it.

This is my first time visiting this place and I am really amazed! All of their offers are great and incredibly delicious! Their pizza is unique, super thin crust, the sauce has a good portion, and the toppings are overloaded. The cheese on the top of it is really thick. Everything on the pizza is truly amazing! It is also perfectly cooked and they serve it with creativity. Really worth the price. They also have other offers for snacks. You can really find anything here at such a fair price. Buy anything you want on the menu without breaking your pockets. Freddy’s Pizza is really awesome! Will definitely be back and visit this place again soon!
