    Cyrene - an ancient Greek city (Roman later on) was founded in 631 BC by Greeks from Santorini, headed by Battus. It was eventually destroyed by the earthquake in year 365. It is much to be regretted that this fascinating ancient place is not commonly available for tourists.

    It's a unisco world heritage site, one of many in the city, it's a must see place, great to spend time with the family or on your own, wondering how did the ancient build such amazing architecture
