I lived in Hultsfred some 15 years ago and already knew was a top contender for Sweden's ugliest town. And it still is. However, the camping is great! Huge spots, located at the lake. Great water for young kids as it has a very very slow descent, so there's a lot of shallow water. Enough and clean facilities, a nice restaurant/terrace (probably the best in town) and happy folks working there.

We had a pleasant three nights stay with a tent in one of the regular places with electricity. Much space available and nice the lake's beach just 30 Seconds away. All very well and professional organized. We took opportunity for 2h canoeing. Kids drove Dinocar and played table tennis. Toilets and social rooms have been well cleaned and appeared to be quite new. Great place to spend a couple of days. Not to mention the many places you can visit in 30 km around....

This camping site has the great advantage to be located by a lake with a natural forrest of mighty trees. I am from this part of Sweden and love lakes and forests. Otherwise the camping is more ordinary, all equipment is in place but not extraordinary in any way.

Excellent camping with great service. Everything is very convenient, kitchen, utensils, rooms. Clean toilets and shower cabins. Very clean sand beach. Rental of canoe, sup and kayaks. Great walking opportunities and some spots to see around. You just need to be lucky with the weather. :))

Very nice camp spot at the lake. Stay away if you don't like kids or dogs or neither. Great place for families with kids of all ages, tons of activities to choose from. Astrid Lindgren's world is a 15 minute train ride away, the train station is a 25 minute walk.

Location is very nice, and the staff is very helpful. However, in the weekends Sweeds stay at the campsite in the houses and drive by in the middle of the night.

Stayed for one night with tent and bicycle. Situated at a beautifull lake, super friendly owner. There is a big kitchen, livingroom and a roofed terras. Perfect as there was some heavy rain. I could stay on the soccer field, which was nice and flat. Also the rainwater drained very well.

As bikehikers we have been travelling all over Europe: Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, Denmark, Austria, Italy. NEVER we have been send away at a campsite at the end of an exhausting day. Hulstfred Strandcamping has the equivocal honour to be the first. They were full the man told us so even didn’t have a place for a small lightweight tent and two bikes. Normally campsites count with the appearance of hikers by the end of the day, so even when they’re ‘complete’ they save a little room for those. It’s our first time in Sweden. Never thought this would happen to us here. The ‘recommended’ (“Turn left and try there. Good luck”) facility 4 km beyond was not a campsite and moreover had no room either. Naturally we’ve got all understanding that 2 modest hikers would ruine the high standard of service on this wonderfull premises. Hikers stay out of here!!

We had such a lovely weekend! Cozy and clean cottages with a beautiful view over the lake, excellent service, fun activities such as standup paddle board and kayaking, clean and fresh common kitchen and bathroom's and a great atmosphere! Thank you Hultsfred Strandcamping, we will definitely come back next year!
