Located at one of the highest inhabited hills surrounding Vaduz, with an amazing view, this restaurant is a must do if you are in Lichtenstein and you would like to celebrate something or just pamper yourself or someone. First of all, the service: very friendly, comforting (thank you for the blanket they really kept us warm and comfortable), we were placed at in my opinion the best table of the terrace, at the corner (I think we were lucky, we arrived at the right time). Then the food: The goat cheese salad was a pretty nice entrée, fresh and appetizing. For the main platters, we had the beef ribs, and WOW what an excellent surprise, they were just exquisite, tender, perfectly marinated and covered with a tasty and abundant barbecue sauce. The potatoes with parmesan cheese chunks were easy too eat, and the coleslaw salad with red cabbage was perfectly sweet. On the other hand, the veal cordon bleu with local cheese was also very tasty, I would have preferred if it were garnished by something classier or more elaborated than fries, that would have been better suited for a plate in a restaurant of that level. Don’t you worry about quantities in here, they will meet the price you pay, which is high but worth the food and sunset view behind the mountains. Must do when in Lichtenstein.

A bit pricey. However the food and drinks are worth it. Especially if you are hiking up to the top of the mountains! Staff were very nice and always helped out

fantastic location. Nice view over the Rhine valley. Balanced and cared for meal, also for my vegan partner. good wine. It's a bit more expensive, but worth the price.

Excellent food and wonderful service. Despite us coming in shortly before the kitchen closed, the service was immaculate and not rushed at all. Felt very at home. Food was excellent and the view…well…that’s just next level.

I can recommend the place! It is a bit pricey, but worth it! Service and food is good (we had veal Cordon Bleu and soup with dumplings). Prosecco based cocktails that we tried were great! Be careful, they are so tasty that it was hard to stop. Additional point goes to the view. It is awesome.

Panoramic view, friendly waiters, cosy place and the food was amazing! It was worth the ride up to the mountain top! We were lucky to get a seat without reservation, do make a reservation before going up!

Food and drink are outstanding, everything perfectly cooked. If you go during the "wild season", don't miss the special chestnut desert! I would advise booking ahead and trying to get a table in one of the two small rooms in the old part of the restaurant. The new part looks sharp and has great windows, but plays cheesy music and seems to get more Americans (maybe not annoying if you aren't yourself an English speaker, but I found it intrusive.) The older rooms smell of wood and seem to have more locals (who presumably know this trick.) The restaurant is about two hours walk (very) uphill from Vaduz. I think I got lucky – I stayed a bit south of the town centre and so Google maps offered an optional longer but equally fast route via Meierhofstrasse. It was very suburban, but a lot less steep than the route that twists directly above town – which that more direct route was an interesting (more farms & woods, less suburbs, even the castle) but even downhill somewhat tough walk back. I bike about 10km a day for commuting in a pretty flat town (Berlin).

Family and pet friendly restaurant on the side of a mountain. Great food, views, and service. There’s a small area with children’s games. They had dog water bowls for multiple tables (including ours). No issues serving 4 adults and 2 children under 3 without a reservation. Plenty of parking and the toilets are very clean. Staff spoke English and German.

About a 15 min taxi ride from Central Vaduz. Beautiful restaurant, lovely food, friendly staff and fantastic views. If you get the chance, definitely go. Closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

Delicious food, breathtaking view. Berggasthaus Masecha is located very high up in Triesenberg in Masescha. The views when you arrive are truly stunning and the restaurant is beautiful inside. I ordered the deer schnitzel with cherry sauce, spatzle, and pickled cabbage. It was expertly prepared, tender, and full of flavor. The spatzle was beautifuly done and you could taste the quality of the butter they used. For dessert, I had an apple strudel that was top notch as well. Plenty of flavor, well presented, etc. The only thing I'd point out is that it's expensive (but then again, what isn't wildly expensive in CH/LI)? All the above plus a beer and coffee for one person came out to around 75CHF. But given the quality of the food and the views it's definitely worth it to come here.
