I’ve been to Chateau Yaldara many times over the last 20 years . Today however was exceptional ! Susan was a absolute fantastic tour guide/wine guide salesperson. Her bubbly personality and cheeky charm, alongside her knowledge of Yaldara’s history was a breathe of fresh air . If you visit I really hope she is working that day. Should also add the wine was top knotch also .

My family and I recently stopped by Chateau for a wine tasting and purchase on a road trip. The grounds are beautiful, the building is exquisite and the wines were quite tasty. The staff serving us seemed to be a bit rushed with us as they had a tour group coming in shortly, however knowing we were spending money in the establishment should have allowed us the additional five minutes to be listened to properly when we asked to purchase 3 bottles of Muscat (on top of the 5 other bottles of wine we'd already purchased after our tasting). My lower star rating comes from the fact that we discovered later that night after a day on the road, that the "Muscat" we were drinking didn't taste as good as the stuff we tried at the venue... because it was Port. Sure, it's a nice Port but we asked to purchase the Muscat and it is quite disappointing that this happened all because the server wanted to rush us out the door for a group of people who hadn't even parked the tour bus yet and with other staff in the building, it would not have made a huge difference to the tour group that we were there for an extra 5 minutes to be given the correct product. Customer service skills need to be worked on and a couple of tips for the lady who served us, as she mentioned she was new, don't tell us all about other vineyards that you just visited and loved - they're you're competition and you're supposed to be selling us the product at your workplace; don't talk so much about yourself - ask the customers questions about them, where they've been, why they're there, what they like to drink etc; and if you can't find the right product, please ask your colleagues. We really wanted that Muscat.

Wow, wow, wow! I am not usually one to go out of my way to post a review but this experience deserves to be highlighted. I visited this winery with some friends and family and had the pleasure of having Jake Stanley serve us. This man is a master of his trade. He provided us with the perfect wine tasting experience paired with an incredible education on his product. I can gladly say that we will be retuning to see Jake again but will be bringing many of our business partners next time as I think he will impress them as much as he did us! Thanks for an amazing day!

Looking forward to returning. Old world charm and history to match. Lovely atmosphere, space, surrounds and old chateau that’s been well kept. Friendly staff and wine tasting experience. Left with a lot of wine and a few new favourites.

Remember Chateau Yaldara brandy that your folks had on the shelf, or in the flagon, back in the day. We took a trip down memory lane for a bit of history yesterday. Along with Seppeltsfield, Chateau Tanunda, and Yalumba, Yaldara is a building masterpiece . The wine tunnels of the 1947 building are worth a visit , you could be anywhere in France. They have 2 mainstream labels, 1847, and Yaldara, plus some classic Tawny's, and a 2013 fortified Semillon. We will go back for a tasting on our next day off.

My husband I booked this beautiful winery and not only the external structure is breath taking and worth the vist, but internal it's just as beautiful. They take you on a maze tour, not going to spoil the beauty. Jack was an amazing tour guide, really went into dept about explain the chateau history and took his time to explain to us in details about the processes of wine making. He had such good personality and was well spoken, 10/10 customer service. Did not rush the tour really took time with us. Highly recommend the wine and tour taste. Not to mention all the wines we tasted where amazing, you most likely want a bottle of each.

Had a lovely visit to the Chateau. When we walked in greeted with a smile and asked what was available to do. We did the $10 walking tour and found it very informative about the history, later finding out we were the 1st people to take it. The walk took me back to being a kid and seeing all those bottle labels I remember being in my fathers bar at home. Had a tasting with the vibrant Susan who led us on out tasting journey. Some lovely wines. Would highly recommend. Catering to groups as well.

Beautiful maintained grounds. Done in a traditional English style with hedges, large areas of grass with sections which could be broadly described as cottage style. Fountain focal point leading the eye from the car park to the main entrance steps. Disabled access on side of building. Staff were wonderful. Most knowledgeable and happy to chat and share their experience with local wineries in the region and recommend places to go. Great history and architectural buildings, some newer additions including the restaurant.

Wow! We had the most fun, it looks all extremely fancy, I mean it’s a chateaux for crying out loud, but the staff aren’t all snobby like a lot of wineries can be. They were all just great staff! We stepped in just to have a look and a tasting but this massive group of teachers let us go in on their tasting and tour!! So it was a funny surprise! We all had so much fun! The place is steeped in history and amazing to explore the cellars and big wine barrels. Highly recommend

One of the must see wineries. If not for the beautiful gum trees you would think you were in the European country side. To top things off the tastings were generous, varied and delicious in a an amazing environment with friendly staff. I'm glad we happened across it because it wasn't in our plans for the day.

One of the best wineries in Barossa valley. Looks very fancy European building and amazingly knowledgeable staff. It was really fun to listening to him and enjoying the tasting. Highly recommend.

Wow, this place is just so stunning. I thought i was in France. The lovely gentleman (ex Chef) went through the wines and history on the making of them. Very knowledgeable and very customer focused. Would definitely come back for a visit. Hopefully the restaurant is up and running by then

This was by far the best experience me and my partner have had yet, the architecture of the building as you drive into the location is breathtaking. Every wine we tasted was absolutely amazing and they give you a very personal experience. The staff there are incredible too, had an amazing chat with one of the younger girls working there and she made the experience 100% better, all the staff there are beautiful people, we will definitely be coming back and ordering wine from them to send back to Sydney. Also a note: we went at 1pm on a Tuesday and had the whole place pretty much to ourself if u like a more personal experience. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thoroughly enjoyed our tasting with the Moscato Queen herself, Susan, yesterday! A beautiful property and delicious wines. Susan and the rest of the team were so friendly, welcoming and down to earth. It was a great experience for us. Maddi and Mike

One of the best places to have a wine tasting in Barossa. I enjoyed a lot personally. They gave us the detailed tour and six wines for tasting.

Beautiful winery in a historic estate. Sam was a funny, eccentric host with a ‘colorful’ Irish vocabulary. He was knowledgeable without being pretentious. I loved the black snake Shiraz and their tawny. The tour through the old wine cellar was fun. Would highly recommend stopping here.

Excellent wines in an excellent building...their staff were super friendly and knowledgeable and their cellars are well worth seeing-good for a group tour. The private tasting room was luxurious too. Highly recommend their vintage sparkling and their muscat. Will definitely visit again. The mail order to sydney also took less than a week and they remembered our add-on chocolate almonds!

Visited here as part of a Taste the Barossa wine tour and this was the highlight! Beautiful location designed to look like a European castle so there are loads of instragramable moments. The tawny port that tastes like Christmas is to die for.
