Relative to the level at which this property markets itself, the service offering is horrendous. A couple examples that are illustrative of the entire experience: - We arrived on Sunday at 4P and they neglected to mention that they were disappearing at 5P and then closed on Monday. What 5-star resort doesn't have staff available 24/7? Since we were doing the quarantine program, we couldn't leave to get food. By the time we could eat, it was 2P pacific time (where we came, luckily didn't come from east coast). - I had wanted to play golf on the visit and they were so wildly unhelpful and restrictive that the best I was able to achieve was 9 holes in the rain. I'm staying on the property in a private home after our visit, but that's not good enough and they weren't willing to offer me the ability to play after our check-out. - There were more broken or dated items in our cottage than you would normally expect. Dryer was ancient, stove broken, window shade broken. All the TVs/sound system 20 years old. The only reason I write 2 stars is because the property is lovely, but the service level is so aggressively bad that it dampened the whole visit. They'd make excuses about Covid protocols, as an example, but they were really hollow.

The resort is beautiful! The pool and restaurants are incredible, and the scenery is amazing. If you plan on visiting in 2021/2022 however, you should know that 80% of all construction on that island is happening at the resort, which they do not tell you when you make a reservation. There are a LOT of construction noises and such.

I booked a three bedroom house right off of the green on the 4th hole - it was great. Everything was first class from the moment you check in. The grounds are beautiful and the restaurants and pools are excellent. Very easy to get into town. You can see the spouting horn from the club house while you are enjoying a Mai-tai. Usually stay at the grand Hyatt - but plan to stay here from now on.

I enjoyed my time here. We stayed in a 4 bedroom villa, which was well-appointed and felt luxurious but still relaxing. The club itself has an excellent gym facility and some interesting classes. The spa was lovely. The restaurant was delicious and service was mostly good, but staff could stand to be more attentive. We enjoyed almost daily walks to the farm and surrounding trails. I did not golf, but my husband did say the course was phenomenal and well-maintained. We will definitely stay here again. My only qualm is the cleaning staff; we had to call on more than one occasion as they forgot to clean rooms or empty trash or left cleaning items behind. Other than that, an excellent stay at the Lodge at Kukui’ula.

My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon and we were blown away! The property was beautiful and the staff was incredibly attentive. Our bungalow was gorgeous and very clean. The pool and restaurants were amazing. I don’t golf, but I rode along while my husband played and the course was stunning!! We can’t wait to visit again! My only complaint would be the construction noise and the smoking from construction workers. We did not spend as much time as we would’ve liked on our bungalow porch because of the cigarette smoke and noise.

9/2023 Drove through just to take a look. Nice private residential community. Not for the cheap and weak hearted.

One of the best places to stay in Kauai. Beautiful property, very friendly and professional staff, plenty of amenities. Close to everything on the South side but you will feel like never leaving the property. Gorgeous views.
