Stayed at Barefoot for 2 nights. Place is okay, rooms could be cleaner. Location is far from the center - Calculate at least 40 mins to get to Lilongwe town.

We have been having issues with Google maps and there is a second pin location in town and that is not where Barefoot is situated. Please insure you use the correct pin location to find us. We are just off the M12 on the Mchinji Road, west of Lilongwe. Regards Barefoot management

Rooms are in need of allot of maintenance and care. Bedding and sheets were in a shocking state. Very far from the airport especially with all the new road works. Outside facilities such as gardens, braai area and restaurant were nice. Bar and restaurant area were good.

This place was amazing. The rooms were great, the food was amazing and the owners were just the best. All round perfect. Kyle (the chef) makes a mean chai and aloo paratha for breakfast. He will literally make anything you ask him to 🤗😍. The indian Thali is/was huge, and definitely tops the list of best Thalis. (five people can dive into that.) And the bunnychow was just amazing. All of these have to be preordered, and its definitely worth it. Really mindblown by this place, and definitely going back for more.

We stayed here for two nights and will be happy to come back! It's not easy to maintain such a big camping and the Chalets when tourism is down like now during Corona. They manage very well. Everything is in good condition. The Bar and Restaurant are nice (currently even with WiFi from 6pm to 6 am) and the staff is very friendly. For camping you get wonderful grassy spots with lots of shade thanks to many trees. Electricity at the camping spots available. Big rig friendly. The ablutions were clean as well. There is also a garden where they started to grow their own vegetables. Oh, and Rudolph used to be a tour guide around Africa, so he has some really useful tips on top and was happy to help us with some special requests.

Super campsite, staff and bar. There is everything you need. There is electricity, okay shower, you can buy firewood directly and fill your water tank.

Barefoot was our home during our stay in Malawi. We returned to Barefoot every time when coming back from a trip. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the garden is beautiful and the rooms are very nice and clean. The food is very good too! We really loved to be here and if we come to Malawi again we will certainly stay at Barefoot!
