Gorgeous building - nice pic as you take a walk through the old town. Unfortunately, it wasn't open... would have been nice to see inside.

The Cathedral was beautiful to look at from the outside and had a nice area outside with mint and other plants. Inside of the Church was very ornate and had some very impressive painting on some if the walls and ceiling. Not 5 star because at the time couldn't go very far inside the Church, Just the entry hall.

Beautiful chapel we walked in and it is absolutely stunning. There was a service going on and it was just outstanding. Itā€™s worth the stop when you are in the area. A step into the past

Looks nice but was supposed to be open at 2pm and still not open at 2:20 with people waiting outside, so probably just looks a lot better than it is runā€¦

Weā€™d read all the low scoring reviews because people couldnā€™t get in, but didnā€™t really think the Church would be closed all day! Having been all over Cyprus visiting Monasteries and Churches for a couple of weeks, this was on our list. We arrived at midday (having driven around the city for way too long trying to find parking) only to find it closed. We returned a couple more times on our visit that day, leaving at 6pmā€¦. Both times the Church was still shut. Iā€™d suggest if you want to see inside, say some prayers or just sit in a holy place, find out when Sunday Liturgy is! Itā€™s a lovely looking Church from the outside, just a shame it seems so hard to get in.

Nice from the outside but no information about when it was supposed to be open and it certainly wasnā€™t open (not even the external fences) on a busy Saturday, strangely.

Beautiful church. Limassolā€™s Ayiou Andreou Street stretches along the towns sea front, providing a pleasurable walk along the ā€˜Molosā€™ area; an eye catching seaside park that stretches from the old port to the Limassol Zoo with direct access to the numerous restaurants, shops and cafes available for down time. The Limassol landmark built at the end of the 19th century, upon theĀ ruins of an older Byzantine church. Although it carries the same name as theĀ busiest and most well-known tourist districts of the island (Ayia Napa), the church has no relation to the town of Ayia Napa itself.
