Nice little oasis of shady trees and plants with grass lawn areas, statues and fountains. Cafe is a pleasant place to sit in tranquil surroundings. Fundraising fete today with food stalls, music, Greek dancing exhibition, rides and games for the kids. Easy to find opposite the Shell petrol station on the seafront. Also houses the zoo and archaeological museum.

Beautiful park, with lots of different plants and trees... within the park there is a little zoo but I didn't visit it. Park is a great place to stop and rest during hot summer.

Gardens are tired but it is used through the year for events. Sadly the last two events have been a letdown last two years ago the Russian festival was well attended but the event was badly implemented and more like a Cyprus market. Not a lot of Russian products or entertainment. This week was the wine festival. Sad is not the word. Poorly attended. No wine sampling three wine stalls for purchasing and you paid €5 to attend about 4 or 5 restaurants serving bbq which you also paid for. They used to sell a glass and you could go round to get free tastings. Now you buy the glass and then purchase a bottle. What's that all about?

Very good playgarden for children in Limassol. This tree is a very special Fire flower tree, which is in the middle of the garden.

Great place to take children, lots of space, good equipment to play on. Public toilets and a small cafe. A good chance to take in the small local zoo. Just across the road to the prom and near the beach. Regular bus service stopping just by it

The staff doesn’t care about the animals! We noticed that one of the guinea pigs had a plastic wrapped around it’s neck tightly. We let the administrator (which was the only member of staff we could find) now, also by showing this picture and I qoute his words: “It is how it is. The workers know what they are doing.” He didn’t care at all. I am 100% sure he will not do anything to help the guinea pig. Overall, the park is nice. Many different animals. Fun for kids.

Perfect place to spend nice afternoon with kids. Newly renovated with lots of animals. Park starts with birds, monkeys, deers, lamas and finishing with domestic animals, like bulls, roosters and goats. There is section with snakes and lizards too. In the middle is small coffee place to have some refreshment. Overall nice experience, entrance 5E is ok.

Beautiful! Surrounded with huge tree's , botanical gardens and kid's playground! Surely it can be better . Need a lot of improvements and care from the authorities/ Limassol municipality ! It's a hidden gem 💎 that we must protect! It's history itself. 💖🇨🇾🙏🏼

To get things clear, if you are a visitor to Limassol - especially from abroad - this park is nothing special and not worth your time. Generally speaking parks in Cyprus are a joke, small and badly attended. However, if you are a local parent this is a place you can spend many happy hours with your kids. There are two playgrounds on site and ample space and grass to run around, cycle, skate, and do pretty much any activity kids do to spend energy. The municipal Zoo is housed here which again is nothing special but children love it, also the beach and seafront walkway are right across from the park. There is a canteen and a kiosk on site offering basic refreshments and snacks.

We went to the Limassol wine festival, which was held here for one week. Lots of atmosphere with Greek music dancing and Greek food. It's €5 entrance fee per person. You then buy a glass or bottle, and it's as much as you can drink with free refills.

While in Paphos, we visited the once a year Wine Festival that's been running for 62 years. It was brilliant, great atmosphere & entertainment. You can buy wine glasses & sample the wine at some of the stalls. There was also food & stalls to buy gifts etc. I'd recommend going if you're in Cyprus while this week event is on!

Wine Festival 2023 is Near. The Wine Festival was organised for the first time in 1961 and since then it has become an established annual event of merrymaking and fun, in which the citizens of Limassol are not the only participants; visitors come also from every part of Cyprus. Its reputation is spread beyond the geographic boundaries of the island. In September of each year, Limassol becomes the attraction of thousands of tourists who visit the Municipal Garden to enjoy the Wine Festival and play with the locals a starring role in this euphoria. They become the protagonists since the Festival is a play which is mounted and the visitors are the enthusiasts, who banish from their mind all concerns and feel an inward sense of comfort, free from social conventions or protocols, in an atmosphere of unconditional fraternization, generated by the mysterious effect of wine. Drinking Cypriot wine is as if the rays of sunlight, the dawn breeze, the atmosphere lucidity, the romantic magic of the land and the sky of Cyprus transfused you.

Big trees remained untouched, that's important. A nice variety of playground games for young children. We had a nice time

Sorry excuse for a zoo ,improper facilities for the animals, the place stinks, not to mention the noise from the cars scares them. Remove all animals, send them to decent facilities and leave it as a park. I would never show my kids this mess, let alone pay for it also

Overall good. Many playful sliders for kids. Different birds and animals. In the case of turtles and ponds for fish, it's good if the water they have is more and cleaner.

Nice park in the center of the city. There is a small Zoo and great playground inside. Couple of cafés. Trees are big and provides nice shadow. Several times a year park hold different festivals like wine or streetfood.

For 5€ you wouldn't find a nicer zoo. It might not have many exotic beasts, but it is a great place to relax for an hour or two and watch cool birds. The atmosphere is nice and the place has free wifi

Lovely space to be able to sit with coffee and watch the children play. We accidentally left our ball behind, someone had kindly placed it on the hedge for us to collect on our return 🙂

Little zoo, fun hangout but not so much to see.

There are many animals in this zoo. And it is a slave worth visiting. But they don't take care payment. So I had to wander along to the closest ATM to get cash. And even if the animals were cool to watch, it's hard for me as a parent to answer my kids what kind of animals are where when there are no explanation anywhere in any language.

We went here for the street food festival, there were plenty of different vendors and lots to try with live music and a DJ.

  • 3/5 Ran E. 1 year ago on Google
The place is very nice, it is great to watch the animals - BUT! The place is very small! You can do it all in 30 minutes if you take your time between the displays.

👍 One of the best public spot and famous for religious pictures and gathering.if you are interested in historic monuments then it is best place to visit having sea front. From inside this church ambience was so beautiful and rich you feel relax and calm. local old market near church also a good point...
