It worth to visit. Everybody can be interested of this place. You're not forced to have many knowledge about antic Greece. Also everything is explained and if the weather is good the sea view is sublime 🤩 Expect at least 2 hours on site. I wanna notice that you can buy fresh water for only 0,5€ by the way ☀️

An unexpected visit but turns out to be great. Amphitheatre in a very good condition and makes an impression. There was almost no people. Wonderful views. One of those days and places we enjoyed so much. I thought I will spend there no more than an hour but it took more or less 3 hours especially when we sit on the hill with the view on the sea. Entrance 4,5€ per person, parking is inside.

Pretty cool Roman amphitheater. Fairly easy walking. Most of the trails are concrete. This has been reconstructed using stone from excavations and modern stone. The views of the Mediterranean Sea from here are spectacular!! This is part of the Kourion Archaeological Site.

What a wonderful find, if you are into history then this is the place to go. The information boards are full of detail with English translations. I knocked it down a star as I think they are missing a trick in not having a cafe/restaurant, we spent a few hours there but had to leave as the group was getting hungry, we would have loved to stay longer if we could have eaten there.

A must see if you are in the area of Limassol. Lots to see, you can get nice and close and walk around the ruins. Entrance is only 4.50 euros. The floor is better than the one in Paphos Archeological Site. I was fine walking around in good quality comfortable sandals. it took us between 2 and 3 hours to see everything.

Wow wow wow... Mind blowing. You can just see where my husband is sat, right at the top in the centre? I was stood in the centre of the Amphitheatre and spoke in a normal speaking voice. He could hear me word perfect, as clear as if I was sitting right next to him. Like, how? How did they build it so perfectly? Amazing experience.

The site is nice and picturesque. There is a very beautiful sea view from the top. The amphitheater is small and it is not clear how it was used, when and by whom. The place is not for people with disabilities. There are other constructions from white stone but there are no signage’s explaining what they are. There is a public toilet and a parking.

Ancient ruins which are incredible to see. The area is huge. In addition to the theater the entire area has ruins which are amazing to see. If traveling here during the summer months, make sure you come early as it gets very hot.

A SPECTACULAR place to enjoy a concert. The acoustics in this 2,200 year old Ancient Hellenic Kourion theatre are superb. It fits 3,500 people, plus perhaps a couple hundred more seated on the floor space when the concert is stage on the modern extension. Sadly, many people disrespect not only the ancient site, but their fellow concert goers by smoking - during the performance! Yes, you may be outdoors, but you are sitting shoulder to shoulder with fellow humans - show some respect - especially when the lead act begs you to stop! Meanwhile, enjoying music in tips epic historical venue is a bucket list item. Don’t miss the opportunity if you have it. I recommend sitting at the very top to catch the breeze and enjoy the sweeping bay views. The sound at the top is as good as the bottom, such is the design of the venue.

Visited in November, it was windy ... Would recommend to visit when it is warmer. Very well kept ruins, the booklet from the if information centre didn't have enough information on all the ruins. I wish they had a booklet with more information.

Very well-organised ruins. Guided tour most probably would be better, but we enjoyed it anyway. Beware of the sun. Stay hydrated.

Nice restored Roman amphitheater. Deeply recommend to walk around because there is also a lot to discover: market square, Arystoteles house, Roman house destroyed during an earthquake and beautifull views. Tickets are 4.5€ per person. It is also a good idea to drive down after the visit to take a quick view of the sea and cliffs. Deeply recommend.

Absolutely brilliant. We've passed it so many times on our way to Ladies Mile and wondered, so this time we decided to visit. Fabulous, loved everything about it and amazed it was free for over-75's. A definite must to add to your Cypriot holiday 😀

I highly recommend visiting. Great option to feel like in a real ancient place. You can sit in an amphitheater, go through agora, basilica and touch the stones. There is also a Roman house with marked places where skeletons were found after the earthquake. Descriptions are Greek and English. Tickets are at a good price, comfortable parking available and easy access from the highway. We spent half a day there and really enjoyed it.

Great place for a visit with a lovely vista. Very well-preserved archaeology giving a real sense of life in antiquity. The ruins are spread out a little, so I highly recommend taking plenty of fluids, especially in the height of the season. A must visit place if you like your history.

Love it here, a lovely site to explore the historic ruins of the island as well as take in the spectacular views of the sea. It's mainly in the open so recommend getting there early in the summer months so you're out of the strongest heat while wandering round. There are vending machines for water and drinks (very reasonable with water being 50cents). Plenty of parking and a small gift shop on site. They also have events at the site, personal favourite being the Shakespeare performances usually around June time.

Very good enjoyed it. I noted that all of the sites have wheelchair accessibility that would allow a wheelchair to get up to the edge for a good view, though you would not be able to get down among the ruins as you can in some places on foot.

Was with a fairly large tour group, but had enough time to get a good sense of this meticulously restored Roman amphitheater. Happily, it's still in regular use and has a magnificent view of the sea. There are several other substantial archeological sites adjacent so it is well worth the drive to visit.

Well worth a visit and only €4.50 admission. Biggest excavated site I've been to, spread over a large area. Lovely to see well preserved mosaics. Amphitheatre is spectacular. Could do with more information boards at the different houses. Missing an opportunity not having a cafe onsite, just drinks machines.

If you are visiting Cyprus then you should plan a trip here. Superb Roman ruins with some very impressive mosaics and the most amazing and beautiful views. You could spend hours here. Quite amazing that you can still walk over and through some of the ruins. Very cheep entry fee and children are free. The amphitheater is awesome.

One of the first sites we found at Kourion and it was very impressive. The Kourion site itself was amazing and I would highly recommend a visit. There are numerous places to sit and there is cover from the sun in several places across the site. It does still get very hot so its definitely better to avoid peak sun times. The visitors centre has restrooms, vending machines for drinks and a small shop. Entry was 4.50 payable at the car entry point - park up in laybay, buy ticket and then the barrier will be raised so you can drive through.

Great location. Apparently Achilles lives here. There is a beautiful Theater in a great state. It’s was really hot so we’re not able to see everything in detail. Interesting to see all the different ages this location has see from the Greek to Romans and later Byzantine churches.

I visited Greece right before coming here. It's more impressive than any excavations in Greece in terms of the scale and completeness. And I can literally walk on those thousands years ago buildings! There are very few people here as well.

Amazing place. The mosaics are not really big, but they are very well preserved. No waiting time to enter. The only thing was that the weather was extremely hot and there weren't enough shaded places. The view is amazing.

That is the ancient place to visit in Cyprus: beating both the thumbs of kings and nea paphos ones: it is very nicely documented w small boards at each sights, as well as a paper-based free map at the visitor centre. View to the sea is also mindblowing. Around 10 o'clock in May it was quite deserted, from 11 it started to be crowded. Also worth arriving early due to the heat. Entry fee is €4.5.

Very impressed by the beautiful and well-preserved historical site. The views were breathtaking, and it was a truly memorable experience. I highly recommend visiting the Kourion ancient ruins to anyone interested in history and culture.

Really well preserved and organized historic place with kind service. We need to learn more to understand and support Cyprus!

The Amphitheatre and surrounding archeological park are simply amazing. If the warm waters of the Mediterranean or the kind disposition of the locals isn't enough to bring you here, the well preserved and very accessible historical features on Cyprus should be. We visited the Amphitheatre, but did not see a show there. I wish we had.

Beautiful place to admire history! The views are spectacular specially with you get there on the end of the day. Some walk is required but nothing strenuous bring some water it is kind of hot. Entrance was €4.50 and parking was free.

If you can get here by car, it's so worth visit. A fascinating place that takes a good few hours to walk around with some fab views of the coast A awesome amphitheatre that is well worth investigating.

Well worth a visit but do it in the morning before the heat builds up and the coach loads arrive. The amphitheatre has been beautifully restored, and there are lots of other points of interest, not to mention the views.

From the Roman times, very interesting. This used to be a house. Beautiful view. It was super hot for us to drag our children to all corners but it's worth seeing everything for adults. Have plenty of water when you start the hike.

👍 I knew this was the name of the bus stop for getting off the bus 18 to explore the Kourion complex, but I didn't realise it's a pretty old church and well worth a visit in itself!
