Difficulty level 3/10 • Time 1-1:30hrs • Distance 3.5km. The waterfall wasn’t the best bit, it was the hike that made it. I’m not a hiker so I had no idea what to expect or how hard it would be, honestly once you get going it’s fine. Stunning views going up, lots to look at as you hike next to the waterfall water, lots of rocks and steps to climb. A great activity for couples or families with children as well, as kids will love climbing on all the rocks. The waterfall itself is small and the water is FREEZING but we’ll worth it.

We took a walk from the restaurant downhill from the Falls. It was a 1.5km walk to the falls, ascending 400ft up the trail. We continued past the falls just for the fun of it, as the falls had several families and bikini clad girls bathing in the area. We walked a further 2.5km up hill and another 800ft climb to the top car park. I wouldn’t recommend that at 31° in August. Especially with a 3 year old in a back carrier. It was an experience for sure, and a Keo at the end of the day went down a treat! We counted 17 wooden bridges along the route with lots of small pools which you can dip in to cool off. Lots of fish in the pools of water for the kids to attempt to catch so an enjoyable trip for the kiddies. In summary, if you want a 1.5km walk each way, park at the bottom, and if you want a 2.5km walk each way, park at the top. See attached video for map of the route.

Beautiful place! Lovely walk through the trees along the river. Beautiful views and dreamy scenery. Nice to be under the shade of the trees with the sun shining through. We did the waterfall trail and carried on along the trail after reaching the waterfall. The route was 3km each way and took us around 2 hours to do the 6km with plenty of photo stops. Quite a lot of the trail is up hill with steps and uneven ground but a good work that's not too difficult. Well worth a visit! Would recommend going earlier in the day to avoid the groups of people.

It was a lovely waterfall. The best in Cyprus I have visited so far. The walk can be challenging but we managed with a 2 year old (carried some of the way) and also an 8 month old that was hoisted.

A lovely trail uphill along a stream to reach the waterfall at the top. All shaded - 2.5km walk to the top. The trail begins to the left of the trout farm and restaurant. Small rock pools along the way. Parking is Cyprus style - find a space and fill it.

One of the most popular waterfall in the area. Worth to go. It has a lot of scenic views. Since that, there are many visitors. If you want to see no human beings, then it is better to come before 9. The average rise time is 30-35 minutes(one way). Your gluteal and calf muscles and quadriceps will be happy. You have to climb uneven stones, tree roots, there will be some dirt on the way. So: wear comfortable shoes with laces (no flip flops). Take a small bottle of water per person with you. For children - apple or banana. For Britains - fish and chips. For Germans - currywurst, for Georgians - khinkali, for Poles - zurek, for Chinese - jiaozi, etc. (Kidding;)

Must do trail! An underrated local gem. I haven't done the more popular ones, but this one by the sounds of it seems more green, more interesting and just the right length to not get bored. The waterfall however small, it is magical. If starting from the parking area towars the waterfall it took us about 40min. We didn't go past the waterfall.

Highly recommend it, the most beautiful hike we did in Cyprus! There’s a stream along the whole path, clear clean water, tons of trees and shade, very beautiful in every way. The waterfall is pretty, not as big as Millometris and you can’t swim. Water is colder though. I recommend to park beside the Psilo Dentro restaurant as others have said. The hike is more beautiful and shorter from there… only 1 km to reach the falls… we spent 2 hours to go and come back, stopping for photos and to enjoy the falls. We went at 5pm which is nice because it wasn’t too hot. The trail is clearly marked from the car park. And there’s a fish farm and restaurant there too.

I had the change to make the trail (easy one) until the end of it, finding the mazing Caledonia waterfall showers!! The distance is 35m to go up and 25m to come down with a normal stable step. You will need to pass 8 small bridges to reach the waterfall, make patient!! :) Is worth it every minute!! During the hike you can spot 2-3 natural baths if you would like to cool down! The water was cold but affordable!! Enjoy... Go the earliest as possible is more quite and more calm. Get water (flask please NO plastic) comfy soft sole shoes swimmer and a towel...READY GO

The waterfall itself is not that spectacular, but the walking trails offer breathtaking scenic views. There are 2 trails you can take to get to waterfall, the long or the short trail. The long trail is easier as it's all flat, but not as beautiful as the short trail. The short trail is more difficult to walk, because of uneven terrain, but worth it as you'll get to walk among very old trees, fresh water pools you can swim in, and beautiful bridges. Good exercise for dogs. It will take about 45 minutes with the short trail (depending on your pace). Highly recommended to do the short trail! Make sure you wear practical shoes! The waterfall was a bit crowded on Sunday, best to visit during the week.

There is a parking space just before the trail and when it’s full people just park on the sides of the road. It’s not a long trail, seen families with kids going up so pretty much doable and fun! It took around 1.5 hours total depends how much time you sit enjoy the freezing water by the waterfall! It will definitely help cool you off after the hike uphill

Caledonia waterfall is actually a lovely place in nature to do some hiking around 750m long and the river keeps you company and guides you all the way to the waterfall. There are many rocks and some mud, during summertime the weather is ok, during the morning and late afternoon. I recommend wearing the proper outfit and shoes for hiking, bring your camera and a bottle of water. Caledonia waterfall has many visitors and you might need to wait for a while to have access in the water. The scenery is calming, unique, full with nature's beauties, the water is cold and refreshing and the hole trip is a great adventure! Enjoy!

Very pretty waterfall and quite an easy path (fine for families that can walk, but not suitable for prams & buggies). Good during hot days, as most of the path is through the woods. Path to waterfall is just over 1 km, walking upwards to it, taking about 30 minutes. Path is rocky in places, so trainers or good shoes are best. (When you get to the little shelter, don’t give up, as the waterfall is just around the next corner.)

One of the most beautiful nature trails in Cyprus. 2.5 kilometer walk (more or less) to a waterfall with flowing water (Clean and cold water) all along the way and everything green around with the sounds of birds. .....Amazing..... The route is not difficult to walk (you can say it is moderate). I saw many children walking with their parents (who do the route with fun and joy). You can always find parking at the entrance to the waterfall. ** Don't forget to take with you water for drink. For everyone who is in Cyprus , it is definitely worth going up and enjoying a walk and relaxing in the lovely nature. Highly recommend 🍀🔥

Its a nice trail if you take the longer route. The normal trail is barely a trail, just some technical points but generally experienced hikers can manage it even in flip flops. The waterfall is nice but shallow, its rocky so if you want to take photos under it, watch your step and walk slowly.

We walked from a fire break road about 2m from the noted top entrance parking area so we could do a loop rather than walking top to bottom from trout farm. With a 5yr old took us about 3 hours with plenty of stops and lunch. Lots of water flowing in March and temperature manageable for the uphill. Beautiful place to visit. Steady walking conditions but still recommend decent footwear. Caledonia marked point has about 7 parking spaces but is not a car park. Trout farm entry has car park.

This was such a beautiful place to go. The trek was not difficult at all and took just over 1 hour to see this majestic waterfall. Ensure to wear good shoes as the trek is rocky/muddy.

Beautiful trail. Quite easy for novice climbers/hikers. Recommended for a good 2 hour walk, with very nice spots to stop and rest / have a bite. The views are amazing, try it in the fall, you will be surprised with how different it is from spring/summer.

Lovely waterfall, the trail is really nice we spent almost two hours walking down and back. It is a little slippery on some spots near the water. Please be aware that this place is in a forest that lies around 1600 meter high, so if you are coming from the coastline the difference in temperature is around 10 degrees less. We ended up buying warm clothes as we didn’t think about this before packing. Make sure you visit the toilet before starting because there is no place in between where you can go. It is worth visiting.

We enjoyed the trail to the Caledonia waterfalls. It's about 2/2.5km and it was easy for our kids (9 & 12 years old). We loved the small wood brigdes and cut river spots. The waterfall was small but very nice for the kids to enjoy a short cold bath.

WoW!! It’s a small paradise in Cyprus! Very easy to access this area with many parking spots, perfect for families and any age of people who wants to enjoy the beautiful nature and the amazing forest of Troodos. If you go during weekend it’s probably chance to find many people and kids. If you go during week day you will have the chance to enjoy the quiet but beautiful forest sounds also the running waters. Very close to Platres with almost all the services available. The path is so beautiful and easy to walk. Preferably to visit this place during Spring or Autumn and you will witness amazing and beautiful colors!

One of the best trails in Cyprus, easy and child friendly. Forest around so can also be done during the summer. Great and friendly restaurant at the end of the trail as well for a coffee or a dessert after the hike.

We went here today. Such a beautiful place. It is around 1,5 km walking one way. It is not so hard. Nice walking. Beautiful waterfall!

An amazing difference between the sweltering sun and high humidity coast of Cyprus and this place in the mountains. One gets the feeling that you find yourself in a completely different climatic zone, where it is cool and very comfortable air temperature. An inspiring place for relaxation and meditation. And just for hiking a good pastime among nature and the noise of a mountain river. It is better to go to the waterfall in closed shoes, the path is not smooth and it will be very uncomfortable in sandals, and some insects can bite. I wish you all bright impressions.

Bautifull trail with huge rocks, small streams, ancient trees surrounding you and the sunlights to try to touch you among the leaves until you reach the waterfall!!! But walking and walking and walking... the distance is around 3 kilometers, astonishingly beautifull but exhausting 😮‍💨, it is preffered to visit early in the morning instead after lunch with full stomach!!!

Wonderful little waterfall a nice walk. It took us 40 minutes to walk from the restaurant in the south (psilo dendro) to the waterfall. I could have done the walk in flip flops, but it is not recommended. You can't really swim at the top, but you can refresh yourself under the waterfall if you are brave enough.

Beautifull waterfall. We went in july and it was very warm, as would be expected. It was a nice trail, with a lot of rocks. Both of these things leads to extra caution for people who are less abled and children. We saw a lot of people struggling along the way, some of whom who walked on flipflops which I would NOT recommand. When we came there it was quite busy, we could still enjoy it tho. All by all it was a nice trail with an ok waterfall.

Easy free path through the forest and the river. Recommend to start from the psilo dentro restaurant side of the trail. From my experience doable for/with children, dogs and pregnant women. Best to be done early Spring due to the high temperatures later on. As for the waterfall, Cyprus best!

Magnificent hiking trail alongside the water and surrounded by stunning and unique forest. The water is very clean and you can see a few fishes. The waterfall it self is not too big, but is equally beautiful. The trail is easy to moderate level of difficulty, with some steps. Leave your car in the area of the restaurant Psilo Dendro and from there you will find the path. Is recommended appropriate footwear and to bring water with you. Is such an unique place, a must see in Cyprus!

I recently had the chance to visit a fascinating waterfall in the mountains, the Calcedonia waterfall. It was an absolutely breathtaking experience. The setting of the waterfall, nestled in the beautiful mountain scenery, was absolutely stunning, and the sound of the rushing water was soothing and calming. The waterfall itself was a sight to behold, with the water cascading down a rocky cliff face in a series of cascades and pools. The power and beauty of the falls was truly awe-inspiring, and it was hard to tear my gaze away. In addition to the stunning scenery, the surroundings of the waterfall were equally beautiful. The surrounding forest was lush and verdant, with a variety of plant and animal life that added to the natural beauty of the area. Overall, I would highly recommend a visit to the fascinating Calcedonia waterfall to anyone looking to experience the beauty of nature in a breathtaking setting. It truly was a unique and unforgettable experience.

Great trail alongside water, in a beautiful green forest. Including steps, Caledonia waterfall is located about 2/3 of the way. Most of the trail is beautifully shaded.

Wow just wow. The path on the way to the waterfall is just stunning and breath taking. The water between the rocks and the shades from the tree, really brings you to a new dimension of nature. So beautiful 😍 I recommend to come with none slippery shoes. There were many children so the walk was very family friendly. Come with enough water because it might be a big steep so you’ll get thirsty. The water was way to cold to go for a swim, but was worth the hike!

Very nice place and quite easy track, good for family with kids. Good choice during hot summer. In this place "because of cold water and shade of trees" you have much more lower temperature than in hot city. Track is like 1-1,5km. Path is quite rocky take sneakers or better shoes.
