Mostly still a traditional hill town. Pano Lefkara is pretty but the ceaseless grind of progress will soon replace Cypriot residents with holiday lets. In a few years only the shop and cafe owners will be living here and it will be a ghost town off season. Having said that, you can make a game of avoiding being pulled into one of the many silver and/or lace shops by very insistent elderly ladies. Take a lot of cash, their hand stitched lace work isn't cheap and they're very persausive. Just don't NOD when they're taking you round the shop, this is taken to mean you want to buy what they're showing you. You have been warned.

Great little village on a hill with great atmosphere, fantastic architecture and amazing views. We've been there during Christmas time so by the church there was a nice market with snacks and souvenirs. Really recommended visit, just 20 km sidetrip from the highway. Although it's pretty high, even the smallest rental car will make it.

Beautiful town, but it's pretty small. Don't expect to spend here a while day or even half. Lots of overpriced tourist shops. Still worth seeing. Recommend.

We have visited this place in the afternoon after 16:00 and it was worth it - not hot and without many tourists. Beautiful and well-groomed hill town, it was lovely to walk through narrow streets and neighbourhood.

One of the most picturesque village in Cyprus. A must visit place I'd you are near larnaca district. A night walk in the summer though the narrow streets is very romantic. Many places to eat and drink and shopping. Famous for the church of the holy cross. The village is UNESCO heritage. Famous for lefkarra lace silversmiths and Lefkara delights. You can also visit nearby villages and wineries in the area

Charming Village with many cafés and boutique shops. Very much like small and old villages in Greece. Best times to go are between May and September. Shops are mostly closed in the winter because it's too cold and roads get dangerous with rain/snow.

One of the best village in Cyprus. Plenty of choices for brekfast Lounch or Dinner. Morning or evening coffee and relaxing hours all times. Pano Lefkara is a village on the island of Cyprus famous for its lace, known as lefkaritika in and silver handicrafts. The village takes its name from the white of its silica and limestone: Lefkara is derived from a combination of the Greek words. Leuka ori means white mountains. Its one of the best grafical and historical place in Europe. Dont miss this place whilst visiting Cyprus. Its about 35km from Larnaca airport or 52km from Limassol town.

This Village is mostly a TOURISTIC PLACE. All of the Shops are trying to sell goods for tourists. That includes that the offered goods and items are overpriced! It is focussed on LACE and SILVER articels/items. You can watch how the Ladies manufacture the Lace articels on the street. There is also one old Shop selling Cyprus delights. You also can see how Silver will become to ART. Very often you can see rotten doors and buildings. I was not impressed by streets, houses and flower decoration. And also the landscape and surroundings can never be compared with ITALY.

👍 Nice Church. Interesting Architecture - u can see the influence of Arabic time on Cyprus. There are two balkonis in the back, left from the time the church was a mosque. That also explains the stars on the ceiling. The altar is rich, but need some restoration as the ceiling here and there. During th...
