I can't understand why this hotel has so many positive reviews, the only conclusion I can come to is that most guests are 'social influencers' who have been offered free stays in return for positive reviews. The overall service in the hotel is a disgrace, the beach is filthy and the beach staff are utterly useless and provide zero service, they're not even able to provide water when requested. General hotel staff are unwelcoming and do not provide the 5* star service they should be at this price. One evening we ate in the rooftop bar and our dirty plates were not cleared from our table for the entirety of the evening (2 hours). Decor & interior design is stunning but that's really all the hotel has going for them. Would not return nor recommend to anyone. Luckily the hotel is nearby some other great establishments so you can escape to see what real luxury is like! Owners & senior management need to take a real hard look at what they're looking to achieve here.

Had a really good time in this hotel. Great view and access to the beach, had all the facilities I needed and the breakfast was really good. Staff was super nice. Would definitely recommend to stay. Only downside a bit is that it's pretty far away from the center of things. Bit it's on the bus route and taxis aren't that expensive

The most disappointing stay in Limassol having been to Amathus and Four Seasons many times. Your staff are amateur from the top to the bottom. We referred our stay as a 'self service stay'... the beach is appalling - filthy and no raking or clearing of rubbish during our stay even after talking to a Manager, who clearly wasn't that bothered as he never came to see himself. Litter everywhere including loads of cigarette buts in the sand and tables not wiped. Getting water was a joke - water comes at midday but the last two days none - and when I requested as I could see the whole pool area had water, I was told we can't have any and the server went to ask and came back again and said no.. which infuriated me, so I had to go up to the pool to speak to the manager who agreed we were 'allowed water'!! If I wanted 2 star service I could have saved myself a lot of money and stayed elsewhere! The other 5 star hotels not only give you water on arrival to the beach but it is freely available throughout the day. My daughter got stung by a wasp, could not walk and was in a lot of pain and distress and needed first aid a - first aid never turned up!! The beach manager bought some ice.. that was it.. no follow up, no incident recorded and no care whatsoever - it was disgraceful. I would say some of the staff (mostly at breakfast) we fairly well trained as were the staff in the Fish Restaurant but the beach staff are appalling and some barely speak English. We also requested 4 times for some more Mint tea bags for the room - it took over 2 hours and 4 calls - again such poor service. We concluded the hotel wants to charge, charge, charge top prices for all food and drink but not give a 5 star experience in return. Our evening in the roof top bar .. the food was excellent and pricey but again the service so poor - there were only 5 tables in use but our finished food was not cleared away from our table after one hour of finishing nor were we offered the opportunity to order further drinks. I would summarise that you have built and furnished a stunning hotel but have no idea how to operate compared to the Four Seasons.

6 stars plus. We have travelled the world, but this is our favourite hotel. Yes, it is! Finest and most delicious food - breakfast, all of the restaurants and even the room service is serving perfect dishes. The gym and spa area is also just outstanding and amazing. The staff makes it perfect - also a very important factor! When we arrived, Artemis and Olga made us instantly feel at home. Sifis was great help and manages everything with high professionality and kindness. Maya, the guest relation manager, is not only a beautiful lady, she is doing an outstanding job. Marios at breakfast knows all of the clients, knows their needs and notices even small details. He is the only one who really knows all of the guests of the Hotel - everybody is coming to breakfast. It is one of the areas in a hotel, which does not seem very important, but it is one of the most important areas! Andreas at Nerea restaurant, Lucy at breakfast and ALL of the other colleagues 👍♥️🙏 The restaurants are just amazing! Moreover, Housekeeping staff, kitchen staff, service staff at the beach area - everybody is just doing a great job. We will come back again and again!

We had such a great time at the Amara hotel. The front desk staff was not only extremely helpful but also highly trained, making our check-in and overall stay hassle-free. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, ensuring a relaxing stay. The highlight of our visit was the spa; it was impeccably clean, and the massage was truly rejuvenating. The entire spa experience added to our delightful stay. In addition to the exceptional service, the hotel's dining options were superb. We enjoyed delicious meals at the hotel's restaurants, and the service was impeccable. What sets Amara hotel apart is their commitment to guest comfort and care. Throughout our stay, we felt genuinely cared for, which made our experience all the more special. This hotel is a true gem, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an unforgettable stay. I plan to become an ongoing customer, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

Poor service. They took.my language out of the room by themselves without notify me althoughI confirmed late checkout with the reception same day!! Day before, when ordered room service it came after 2 hours! We canceled it since it was 1 AM !! And of course they wanted to charge us for it. Very low level of service. The room was not clean. The hotel looks good, but that's it. Not worth it's price. I will Never stay there again!!!

The Amara is not what I expected at all. In fact, it is much much better than my highest expectations, and that's not just because the price for a Double Room including breakfast was significantly lower than other hotels in the '5 star' category, but also their impressive attention to detail pervades every aspect of the services they provide, giving the almost perfect 360 degree user experience. The place is very well staffed and they have clearly been very thoroughly trained to ensure consistently positive customer outcomes. The layered layout of the pool area and beyond has been clearly and cleverly designed for maximum chill-out experience. The landscape gardening is particularly impressive, with a special mention for the many mature olive trees which promote a peaceful ambience. What else? The food is great (mind you, so it should be for the hefty prices charged, not just in the Michelin Star venues). Ultimately they've thought of pretty much everything to ensure maximal relaxation for their guests. Any suggestions for development? Well, yes, actually. Maybe the hotel has no claim on the public strip of beach separating the sea from the hotel gardens. But the dark sand (it looks dirty!) spoils the otherwise-stunning view from the hotel bedrooms (all have a seaview). Could nice sand not be transplanted onto the beach strip? Would look so much better! Furthermore, for a hotel with 207 bedrooms/suites, there are not nearly enough poolside sunloungers. As usual, wherever you travel in this part of the world, the beds are 'claimed' by people from a country which shall, of course, remain nameless, but who in other guises exhibit similar marauding behaviour in order to claim whatever they want whenever they want. Surely there must be a fairer way of getting a decent sun tan!!

The front desk staff are really nice and welcoming - definitely a lovely experience! The room was great: clean and comfortable, great view, fun to hang out in. The front desk at spa is not super friendly (it was uncomfortable trying to make appointments) but the massage and pedicure were great. The guests are pretty pretentious (think White Lotus 😂) but they make for entertaining people-watching (especially when they order wine and have no idea what they’re talking about and when asked which glass of wine they would like they wave the server off and say “French” 😂😂😂). Breakfast buffet is pretty good but go early before it gets wild (lots of food touching - not the fault of the hotel!). The pool staff are so nice and very patient. The lifeguard and his cat, Mia, are so so so sweet to watch. The pools are gorgeous!! We swam around for hours everyday 🧜🏼‍♀️ 🧜🏼‍♀️ Nerea (one of the restaurants) is so good - lot of delicious vegetarian options! Room service was timely and good. LGBTQ friendly enough - we didn’t feel uncomfortable. The only “points off” is for allowing smoking everywhere - that was not enjoyable. Some “cool” bros were smoking cigars in the pool. BUT we thoroughly enjoyed our time there and would definitely recommend.

The hotel vibes are wonderful, the rooms are comfortable, and I had great massage treatments in the spa, delicious food in the Italian restaurant, and the rooftop bar. Two bad points that I wish the hotel will work on to improve the experience; taking allergies seriously, as the hotel didn't take into consideration my sugar allergy at breakfast, eventhough, I sent a clear email asking the hotel for simple yet straightforward requests, and the waiter at the Asian restaurant was completely rude and unwelcoming, which is unacceptable for a five star hotel.

Luxury hotel, and best service. Its one of the luxury i had been, rooms are big 40m and more and high equipment, big bathroom and well disiend. Breakfast was fabulous with various of fresh products, and the service of the staff was amazing. Lobby with a butiful gaden that served all day. Huge spa area with a warm indoor pool. Outside pools are great and just on the beach shores. Location is beet far from the new marina, 15 minutes driving along the street.

The hotel itself is very beautiful and the facilities are also very good. However I am sad to admit that I was very disappointed by my stay. When making my booking I had informed the hotel that I was coming for a honeymoon so that they would make the appropriate decorations as we were coming for this very special reason. Having arrived at the Hotel and entering the room I realized that my comment was never taken into account. I thus went back to the Reception and informed them again orally of my special request and kindly asked them to take it into account, even at that moment, as we were going to leave the room (even though the surprise element would now be lost). A few hours later we returned back in the room and realized once again that they did not take my wish into account. This was extremely disappointing for me. You go to 3 and 4-star hotels and they make nice gestures if you inform them that you are coming for special reasons such as birthdays and anniversaries, and AMARA which is 5-star hotel did not! Taking into account the prestige of the hotel, the fact that we chose that hotel for that specific reason and that we paid more than 500euros per night this was extremely disappointing. I would not stay there again because of this.

Awesome experience. I spent the day at the Spa, to have some peace of mind during my birthday . I was welcomed by Regina, Alexandra, Maria, Silvia, and the lady in white shirt I forgot to ask for the name. All of them were super cool with me, and went beyond the usual niceness. They accommodated all of the requests and made me feel more than welcomed. The Spa has different rooms were you can relax they way you wish. A 5 stars experience for real. Thanks, team!

The hotel is very beautiful. The design is amazing, attention to details is outstanding. When you enter the hotel you can immediately smell some nice fragrance. There are several restaurants, swimming pool, gym, spa. The service is very slow. At breakfasts I had to wait for 30 minutes to get my coffee. Sometimes it was cold, sometimes they forgot about it and I had to ask other waiters. There are pretty arrogant hotel managers. The rooms are very nice. The location is not in the center, you will have to take a cab or rent a car to go somewhere.

The only bad thing about this hotel is that makes almost every other hotel you visit after this one feels like a sad 3-4 star hotel. The rooms are light and comfortable and they bring you complimentary water constantly. The breakfast buffet is huge and has something nice for all kinds of dietary preferences and if you are a cat lover - go and sit outside and just wait for a beautiful friendly cat (or five) to show up and give you a morning dose of cuteness.

Was very disappointed. Visited to view as a possible wedding venue for my wedding and everyone seemed unhappy. No one really smiling, did not even speak to the person we were booked in to see, it was her assistant. A lot of restrictions on music before 11pm outside. Also staff were rude about showing us around the spa. After we got to view the spa, the spa lady was the only person that was nice and gave amazing service. We were viewing many 5* hotels that day. The Cap St George was much better. The Cap St George greeted us with smiles and knew who we were. Showed us all rooms as well as the spa. At Amara I did not feel welcome, they didn’t even offer to show us the rooms or the spa until I had asked. Such a disappointment. Got the feeling they only care about people that “look expensive”.

I'm very pleased with my room and the services received all around during my stay! It ticked every single box for me! I'm returning in October just to stay in the same room here for 5 nights! The only downside was one of the dishes from my room service order but the team rectified swiftly! Again, excellent customer service! I can't even pin point one thing that I am not satisfied with in this hotel! Well Done and thank you to all! See you all again in October.

Rooms are good but most showers have mould, sensitive people beware. Service is not great, you generally have to call the phone multiple times for somebody to answer, and if nobody answers, it goes to leave a voicemail. having to leave a voicemail in a 5 star resort? To get served at the pool it took 15 minutes just to get somebody to approach me even though there is 20 staff standing around doing nothing. This was a daily occurrence. The Restaraunt plays music till 12am every night so most rooms will be affected if you want to sleep early you may struggle. I ordered room service frequently, everyday I ordered the same dish but some how each day the price of the same dish was different.. one day it was 8 euros then 15, then 24.. so they just decide what price to charge you depending on how they feel?. The craziest thing I noticed is at the end of your stay when you go to check out they ask guests if they would like to tip on their entire stay. In all my years of staying in the top hotels around the world I’ve never once seen the front desk asking to tip on an entire stay? So imagine you are eating at their restaurants, cafes, and tipping on all your meals , room service etc and then at the very end of your stay when you go to pay your room plus all the expenses which you have already tipped on they want you to tip again on everything ? It’s a bit embarrassing to try and do this and I thought it was distasteful especially when you Dont have a well managed hotels. Asking guests to tip on their entire bill is not a smart idea.

Today i had an experience in SPA and i was very disappointed with the quality of the service, which has really changed since it has been opened. 1. I had a voucher on 200 euro, where it was written that i can use it in spa, or restaurant or just to have “a lavish weekend”. So I wanted to use it in spa for a massage and them to have smth in the restaurant, but i was told that “you can use it only in one area of the hotel and the whole sum should be charged at once!” - it is one complex of the hotel, why you can’t split it?! Or why I can’t use it twice for massages, why I should spent it only for one time? 2. Also during the massage one-time lingerie was big and uncomfortable which they use for men and women. And I asked to make a bit more pressure during body but it was too relax that i hardly could have felt the massage. During face massage one mask smelt so awful that i felt a bit sick. 3. After the spa visit we wanted to chill with my friend bear the pool, but we were told that if we are not the guests of the hotel we should pay 95€ - day pass for what?! So our 200 vouchers with a very bad service cannot allow your guest to chill outside near the pool. Only inside. So we were asked to go away - go inside from pool. And we went to Plus Sea and enjoyed our calm and friendly stay near the sea. 4. Before pedicure nobody asked if i want to cut the cuticle or I prefer apparat pedicure. I consider that in 5-star hotel the level of spa and beauty services should be a bit higher than it is in Amara now for these prices on services. After i complained and left all my comments nobody proposed me any compliment/discount/apologies…nothing. Just that i need to pay some extra… I am very disappointed for this experience and don’t recommend Amara Spa for anyone at least now until they change there management, service or client-oriented politics and their attitude.

We had a special occasion so my wife and i wanted to treat ourselves with something special! I made a reservation for nerea restaurant. I have to say the hotel is amazing. Because i stay in Limassol i don't have opinion for my cities 5 Star hotel rooms....but i honour all their restaurants. So my first dinner at Amara hotel....to be honest it left me with a bitter sweet sensation. Everything was...ok. I am talking about nerea restaurant only. Food ok...i had tha lamb and my wife the chicken (photos below)... atmosphere ok... price i cannot complain because i wanted something special...but something that i will complain is the service. I think most of the waiters were trained or something. For example we had a bottle of wine and 50% of that i had to put it my self. Once i did it when a manager passed but he didn't bother. And they only had to serve 5-6 tables. That's ok at a second class restaurant...but not at the premiere league! Any way i hope my next visit there will change my opinion.

We love the Amara, 3rd time there this year. Beautiful hotel but sadly on 3 occasions room service lets them down hence the 3 stars. The breakfast staff are amazing, thank you again Lucy! The reception staff Olga, thank you again for everything. The porters amazing!

The AMARA hotel is an absolute gem! Their luxurious rooms exude comfort and style, making it feel like a home away from home. The pool area is simply fantastic; I found myself returning to it throughout the entire summer season.

I recently visited the hotel for the SPA. I have to say the place is amazing and the facilities luxurious! However my massage experience was NOT worth the 120 euro i gave. The maseur was not good at all.. I asked her politely to put more pressure and she totally ignored me. I have a had many massages in my life and visited many spas and i can tell she did not want to put the pressure. Seeing some other reviews i guess it happens often here. I think its a specific girl (chuby, short- dark hair) cause my friend liked it. The receptionist.. very rude. I assume its cause we didnt look rich enough for her. Other than that the Italian restaurant is amazing! The food is delicious and all the other staff of the hotel and the restaurant are great! Sorry for the bad review but you have to do something with the girls in the spa area... its not the first review

Amazing hotel. The service in the hotel is next level. Nice views and right on the beach. A bit of distance to the city so best have a car while you're there.

Beautiful Mini Moon for myself & my wife! Thank you to everyone at the AMARA especially the wonderfully accommodating & delightful Mya in Guest Relations (she is a real credit to the AMARA) for giving us the perfect first break of married life! The hotel is immaculate & has everything you need for a perfect break! If you are staying at the AMARA we highly recommend Ristorante Locatelli, we dined there on two separate occasions, the food was the highest standard we have enjoyed outside of Tuscany and the team in there all absolutely delightful. Our barman in the adjoining bar needs commending too, his cocktails were to the highest standard especially his Sours. Other team members of note was the suited lady with reddish hair (apologies so many names) who was leading the Lobby Bar during our stay, she was a delight & always went out of her way for us and finally the hairdresser in the Spa, my wife throughly enjoyed her time down there and recoiled with great delight how much she enjoyed that experience, what she enjoyed about the Salon was that the hairdresser wasn't in hotel uniform and individuality gave it a real buzz of a London salon. Thank you everyone at the AMARA we will definitely return!

Our experience at AMARA was amazing. The service is immaculate. We’ve stayed here 10 nights and the hospitality is perfect. Especially one worker in particular around the pool service named Dan has been exceptional and made sure our pool experience was great every time. A few things that have stood out to us and made us love the hotel is when we leave the pool we are welcomed to our room with cold water to refresh us. Another thing was I left a diamond earring around the pool which I didn’t even realise, the workers found it and had the earring delivered to my room with a sweet note. We’ve tried all 3 of the restaurants and loved all. One thing maybe the hotel can improve on in my opinion is the late night room service options as it’s quite limited. Will 100% recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to have a 5* quality experience in Cyprus.

True 5 star experience. Great architecture and interior, impressive service from the moment you enter the hotel until you leave. Breakfast was super, rooms very nice with nice bathroom, amazing view and very comfortable beds. Nothing bad to say about this hotel!

The hotel is absolutely amazing. Incredible views, pools, restaurants etc. But the true mark of a real 5* is service and the Amara really know what they are doing. All staff are friendly, happy to help, always attentive. Special mention to Juliana from the concierge who organised loads of stuff for us and answered all our questions. Stayed in luxury hotels around the world and this is up there with some of the best Highly recommend

Unfortunately our experience at Amara was negative, we had a table reserved at their Ristorante Locatelli restaurant. The service was horrible we had already said we are not ordering water but the waitress kept walking by us and asking us whether we want to order a bottle of water. we already had drinks on our table and it was so unprofessional to obligate your customer to order more. We also asked for food recommendations and then when we ordered what we decided to get another waiter came to our table and told us “ So after all the recommendations I gave you you ordered this dish?” With an attitude. Which was really rude and ruined our night!!!! We have never experienced this attitude at a restaurant or hotel!!

Booked for 4 nights here. It is not only a 5 star plus hotel but the service level is very high. Tried almost all their inhouse lifestyle restaurants. All good. For lunch I recommend Plussea. Cosy setting with beautiful view of the beach and sea. Breakfast spread is awesome. You can make special request. I heard someone request for boiled veggie and they got it. Egg station lady so enthusiastic about her work. Although no tips for breakfast, all staff serve with passion. Overall 5 stars plus plus.

The hotel was amazing. Pure luxury. We stayed in room 9010 which had an incredible view. The service provided all round was very good. Food was nice. Definitely the best hotel in Cyprus. The only downside is that the beach is dark sand but except from this I can not fault the hotel in any way. Special mention to the concierge Savva. He recommended us to stay at the hotel as he previously worked at Four Seasons (where we stayed last year). Anything you need, he is the go to guy. Every recommendation is spot on. Never lets us down. #TheCyprusPlug

This hotel was one of the most amazing hotels I’ve stayed in. Everything about it was perfect. My partner and I stayed in Amara for 10 nights and there wasn’t a fault in sight. Every room had a fabulous view (sea and pool view). The food.. unreal. The staff.. so polite helpful and just lovely. I would also like to say a HUGE thank you to Savva (concierge). He made our stay even better. He sorted everything out for us, recommended amazing restaurants and assisted us with anything we needed. Savva is the man everyone needs in their hotels. We certainly made a friend for life. Thank you Savva! We hope to come back next year. Tasha :)!

Everything about this hotel was 5*. Our room was nothing short from incredible. Superb view over the hotel and out to sea. Our immediate reaction was wow this hotel has massively UNDER sold itself from its website photos and instagram! We were blown away when we arrived. The hotel oozes luxury, the property layout, the fine restaurants available (our favourite was Matsuhisa, (is essentially a Nobu) and of course the staff who were friendly, accommodating and really made our stay very relaxing. Special mention to; Mario’s Silvia Dan Lucy Katia Thank you so much for looking after us and our new born girl. Staying somewhere new is always a risk. Given the opportunity we would absolutely come back to this hotel. This really is a one off. No doubt one of the best hotels in Europe’s!

Fine as long as there’s nothing better. Wish they stopped playing their damn disturbing music throughout the day and evenings that you can hear even with windows shut. We’re here to listen to the sea, not your basses! If anyone wants to party, they go to a club at night, not to the hotel’s pool at 9 am. Wi-Fi is also horribly slow oftentimes.

Fantastic, luxurious property with excellent service. It's definitely the best hotel we've stayed at in Cyprus. The grounds and facilities are very well-kept. Our room was clean, bright, and had great amenities. We also loved the food in the all day dining room, matsuhisa, and locatelli (while all tend to be on the expensive side, we had some seriously incredible meals at each place). The only issue we ran into was bad wifi, but as we understood, this was a network problem in the region, not the fault of the hotel.

The worst management I’ve ever seen. The hotel is beautiful but management in it… no words to describe their awful attitude to guests. They are very rude and not helpful at all. I will never advice this place to any of my friends.

I really had a unique experience! Everything was perfect, from the time we entered until the time the gates opened to leave. The service was excellent, all the staff were very polite and helpful. The food and beverages were excellent! The decoration and the whole design leaves you speechless! The view is fantastic! They have paid attention to even the simplest detail to satisfy their customers and to make their experience impressive! It is a luxury hotel that I will visit again as soon as possible! Bravo AMARA team, it was amazing!

The hotel is nice, facilities are good, rooms are nice but the service unfortunately is way below average. The atmosphere is very cold and uninviting and the staff lack passion for their jobs. Even the managers are not very warm and inviting. The hotel has great potential but staff definitely needs to be trained on how service should be like at a 5 star hotel charging premium prices.
