I took my one week old baby there to see a doctor after being advised it was urgent that she got an examination of her eye due to a possible infection, whereupon I was told that nobody would see her till tomorrow or maybe for 4 days. The doctor's did not take it seriously and we ended up leaving due to the doctor's refusing to do there job when it was made clear what was needed. On top of that the hospital is disgusting and dirty there is grime on the floor and around the windows and seats. People with a flu that had killed 8 people are in an entrance with no alcohol Chand sanitiser or masks. There are ferrel cats in the entrance and inside the hospital and the smell is horrendous. I have reported the hospital to the EU as it is below any standard in the European Union. Advise people not to go unless in dire need and to also make reports to the EU Health care board so that the hospital can be closed down or made to reach European standards before someone loses there life or neglected the care that everyone in the developed world and within the EU should be entitled to.

Absolutely ridiculous hospital! We came to the emergency after waiting on line to get a yellow slip because I’m pregnant and i got very big pain in my belly. We came they asked us to pay to register and left us stay and wait for hour. We went and confronted them about this and they put us to wait inside the emergency room again with no one coming. I will never come here and i hope no one has to come here because if you’re critical you’re done. Stay away!

If you have an emergency GO SOMEPLACE ELSE! They will ignore you for hours! The emergency room and doctors have 2 speeds, slow and very slow! They seem to be busy with anything but your emergency. I’ve been coughing blood for two days and they made me wait 4 hours until I decided to confront them and they told me to “leave if I don’t like it”. They prioritize coffee breaks over emergencies whilst they all sit behind doors laughing and joking. never again! I left crying, hurting and offended. This should get to the news! Very very very rude

Dear General Hospital Limassol staff. I just wanted to express my sincere gratitude for the treatment I have received by you for the last 9 days (covid 19 patient). I am absolutely amazed with the level of professionalism, with care and attentive attitude. Including all of you guys, starting from the cleaners, through medical staff and doctors. I am still in positive shock from the experience I had with you. And please, don't pay attention to some totally irrelevant comments about your hospital. You are light years ahead of all clinics. Thank you once again for getting me back on my feet. I wish you all the best and just keep such a professional work. Sincerely. Goran Klacar ID 1033516

Horrible I.C.U (entatiki) staff, from the doctors up to the nurse staff. I was in there for 3 months, with no cell reception and limited visiting times. Not one person in the whole ICU would give me the WiFi password. I've begged them multiple times as i was alone, awake with no one to talk to as the other patients were in comas. All the nurses and doctors lied to me that there is no internet access. I watched them play on their phones all day and night while they were working and lied to my face multiple times about the WiFi ( i did ask them about the phones and they said they're playing offline games). It costed me €300+ of portable routers to try and get some sort of connection to be able to speak to my family. Only one nurse practitioner from the Limassol uni for nurses who felt bad for me actually brought me the password in the end after a few months. I feel absolutely disgusted by the staff members for this emotional negligence One of the nurses even yelled at me for being disabled and not able to move the blankets on and off (i had blood infection which gave me fevers which make you feel hot and then they would give me medicine to take down the fever which makes you cool down) Also one time the nurse put my IV so wrong i started bleeding, i asked them to do something as im bleeding and they were saying im coming im coming. It took me 4 times to get their attention when i finally raised my arm and said hey look! Please someone change it! As my whole arm and bed was covered in my own blood. Idk who these people are but they need training, horrible humans which im grateful i wont meet again

My baby was sick and we went to the emergency center at night. We spent 2 nights in the hospital. The doctors, nurses and the other staff are very nice, helpful and polite. They came to check the baby every hour, they passed the information to each other and they knew the name and the current situation. Thank you! I recommend this hospital. And the rooms are very clean with toilet and shower in each room.

This is insane!!!!!!!!! Horrible

My numerous interactions with the gynecology/obstetrics/maternity department have been professional, empathic and thorough. I have received high quality care with kindness and am very grateful for this.

Whilst on holiday this year in September 2015, I slipped on the floor of our hotel room, with my head hitting the bathroom door post. It knocked me out and my wife had to call the Hotel night porter (Park Beach Hotel Limassol). This was at 5am in the morning. Eventually I was ambulanced to the above hospital, and although I remember nothing, I was given two stiches and placed on a drip. When I became aware of my surroundings I was on a trolley in the Accident and Emergency department. After some time, I was given two CT scans (for spine and brain) plus a chest X-Ray. Eventually I was told I could leave, and was handed a disc of the scans, plus the XRay to bring back to England !. I left the hospital around 2pm so was there around 7 hours. My wife is insulin dependant and the staff ensured her blood sugar levels were satisfactory (metered) So what are my comments ? The actual treatment was good and thorough, but probably because of the language little was said to me as feedback or questions. I had to use the toilet to urinate, which was absolutely awful (dirty). There is, as in many hospitals a lot of noise going on, but I have no complaints about how I was treated, and thank all staff involved. I have read various reports concerning the hospital, but feel that a bit of TLC from managers and those who control the finances could improve the niggling problems I have mentioned. Nevertheless when I needed them, they were there so Good Luck to all involved. Best Wishes, Tony Story (England)

Not the best experience by far, but as can be expected from a public institution. I have been to this hospital as an inpatient and for emergency visits on several occasions. The service of the administrative staff is very low level. The doctors and nurses have mostly been helpful, attentive, sympathetic, efficient and knowledgeable. The worst part, usually, is the long wait in the emergency department. Patience and respect is key. Understanding of limitations of human abilities also helps.

My mother had some sort of vertigo she could barely stand up, couldn't walk and they ended up overdosing her.And afterwards they were asking her if she's drunk or what's wrong with her.Would not recommend

If you have any emergency so we only wait outside on the chairs more than half day. Only the wastage of time

Waited for appendectomy 24 hours. That’s not how emergency should work imho. Caterer in vein hurts like it shouldn’t. Staff is ok, polite and willing to help. But organization is not a strong side.

We had good experiences here with all doctors, they are internationally trained and have a history of experience.

The response is too slow from the administration. The government needs to work on this or else everyone would start making use of the emergency services to get quicker aid. Health is wealth and they should already know this.

Waiting time is some time long. However, treatments and doctors’ opinions are nice , acceptable and appropriate. Oncology department is great!
