Very good, ticket also includes bird of preys mini zoo and show. The caves are very dark, it's almost like being blind! Joking, they are superbly lit up!

We arrived without planning and by chance we made it to the bird show which was very interesting! The children enjoyed taking pictures with the birds. In addition, we did a small tour among the birds, in the store and then we went towards the cave. We walked and it's very nice. 15-20 minutes walk. Guided visit to the cave, lots of talking, less suitable for our children but still very worthwhile and special. 45 minute tour. Walking through the system, stories, an experience for the whole family. There is a good cheese shop in the complex. Kind service everywhere, professional, very patient. Fun of a place. It is important to check the times of the shows before arriving so as not to miss out.

It was an awesome cave. Probably because I love caves! Tickets we got were for the cave and the birds of prey show, which was also very cool. Regarding the cave, there was plenty of parking, just follow the signs. At the entrance, as usual there is a gift shop. Then the guide takes you through one of the doors that leads into the cave. Inside the cave was a little cold. There is also a flat concrete path all the way through. The guide stops at different stages to explain certain features or history of the cave.. (he was great too. At the end of the tour, you walk the last few metres out of the cave and there is a tip box for the guide. I didn't have any money on me, but I personally would have left some) Anyone can do this cave, unless you are claustrophobic, then you may want to re-think going in. (Although my wife is a little claustrophobic, but she made it) Overall, a very nice experience! I loved it!

A really cool place to visit for a couple of hours. The caves are pretty phenomenal, in terms of the sheer area they cover, and how they go from narrow crawling spaces to massive caverns with thundering underground waterfalls! The guides are quite knowledgeable, and share many interesting facts. The cheese experience was alright, but the birds of prey was another highlight - superb trainers who are very entertaining with their jokes, but also very informative about the importance of these birds and the efforts being taken to conserve them. Recommend keeping atleast 3-4 hours to truly experience this place. Longer, if you want to do some of the great walks around.

This was a fun stop during our stay in Ireland. It was about $25/person, which included the raptor sanctuary and cave tour. I would allocate around 2-2.5 hours depending on what time the tours and bird flight displays are. Staff was very knowledgeable

The ticket includes 45 min tour inside the cave, bird show ,walks around. Bring your coats as it's always chilly inside. Bird show is interesting and informative birds will try to get your food .. containers, cups so hide it before the show)) and of you ask questions and interact with the guys who look after the birds you might be lucky to hold and feed the bird.

Good value for money, the ticket price covers the cost of the bird of prey show and a tour of the caves. The guide for the bird of prey show was very good, very informative and allows plenty of people the opportunity to hold the birds. My daughter was very upset that she wasn't picked and he let her hold the hawk after the show which was very good of him!. Literally made her holiday. The caves are beautiful and very easily accessible. You don't feel cramped or claustrophobic in there. Decent paths through. You have to mind your head in a couple of spots but the guide gives you plenty of notice. Great family afternoon. One tip is to plan to have food before or after your visit. There used to be a cafe there but that has gone. You can get snacks and tea/coffee etc but no meals. Enjoy.

Beautiful cave. Wasn't scary or slippery. Guide was very good. Pathway was laid out throughout the walk. It had a bird prey centre and so good to see the show.

It's an amazing place, with beautiful, unique scenery. The Aillwee Burren Experience takes in a guided tour of Aillwee caves, a bird of prey display and cheese and fudge tasting. The caves are amazing to see, and the tour is very informative, lasts 45 minutes approx. The guides are helpful and friendly. The bird display is great, and let's you get up and close to wonderful rare birds. The cheese and fudge tasting is in the farmshop. There are two gift shops with a good variety of stuff, and there is plenty of parking and toilet facilities. It's a worthwhile experience for anyone to see, highly recommended.

Worth it to visit. I didn't go to see the birds of prey show. Instead, I went to discover the shop with cheeses and other stuff. They are so good! The cave itself is amazing with waterfalls and the guide was brilliant. His storytelling glances at excursion. There are coffee shops and toilets so no worries.

We visited yesterday and really enjoyed the amazing caves. Our tour guide was excellent, interesting and very knowledgeable. They we went to the falconry. The birds are fantastic. They look so happy and well cared for. The staff were so friendly and full of information. The demonstration was great fun with lots of Audience Participation which was fantastic. The birds were amazing in the speed and skills. Wonderful to see them work. Well worth a visit.

Must visit if travelling in this part of the country . The tour of the caves was very interesting and the guide was very professional and knowledgeable, brought a comfort and relaxed feel to the tour , putting all at ease & been patient .. roughly 45 mins long . The birds of prey show was so informative and a great insight into these birds of prey. Everything was done with a comfort and in relaxed safe way , encouraging people to come forward to allow birds to rest on a supplied glove . There were shops to visit to pick up some memorabilia of the tours . Walks to go on also .. you will certainly need a few hours set aside to enjoy this experience.

We went for the cave tour as well as the birds of prey show both was very informative and well done. My only complaint would be I thought the cave tour should maybe be increased to an hour instead of the 45 min. Would highly recommend just for the history and story of how it was discovered as well.

Did the Santa visit and what an experience. The staff (elves) were great, the Xmas setting, hot beverages and cookies on arrival, gifts for parents and kids. It was all amazing. The Santa part was the best, a walk through the caves singing Xmas songs only to find Santa asleep for the kids to wake up, he took his time chatting to every child. When your child tells you that he has met the real Santa unlike last year where the Santa was a Santa helper, you know the experience has been carried right. Well done to Ailwee and staff.

Fantastic cave to visit with your family. Booking in advance is a good idea. Visit the birds centre first as they show the birds free fly show typically 3 times a day. Enjoy the tasting of fudge shop and proceed with the cave. All these activities take may be half a day.

Such a great experience here! We went early on a Sunday and we got a private tour of the cave because we were the only ones there for the 10 am tour. The knowledgeable and fun guide walked us through the large cave and told stories of how it was discovered and the geology of the Burren region. The birds of prey exhibit was really great too. We saw some crazy cool birds. All of the presenters were entertaining, and we learned about their conservation efforts in the area and around the world. Would highly recommend!

A bit pricey for a big family, but well worth it. Once in a lifetime historic experience, amazing pics to be taken and factually it’ll blow you away. I was a little bit sceptical about going, I mean what could be so interesting about a cave - right? Bang wrong mate!

Beautiful set of caves and very interesting. The bird sanctuary is also included in the price. There was a bird show that my daughter really enjoyed. Definitely worth a visit. Sorry the pictures aren't great quality from inside the cave

Very friendly and welcoming staff. They will let you know if it is better to go to the Aviary Centre first as depending on the time that you arrive you might be better seeing one of the bird demonstrations first as they are more limited. (And those and the staff are excellent also, be sure to check out the cheese/fudge/farm shop, finally found Mead there!) The tour and tour guide was excellent. Amazing caves and as someone who is afraid of slipping after a bad accident the paths were well done. Some rather low ceilings and as a taller man I really had to stoop low during some parts, but it's a cave (duh) and it always opened up after the low areas. Toilets accessible before and after but not during. Tour was around 50 minutes and decent wee gift shop and coffee shop too. Highly recommended!

The reason birds can fly and we can't is simply because they have perfect faith, for to have faith is to have wings. - J.M. Barrie, Kids gonna love this. Short but informative. 👌

Aillwee cave- booking can be done online. The cave is located in an area that includes the Birds of prey, a cafe and a giftshop all in the same area. Follow the signs or Google to reach the cave and keep driving up all the way until the end, mind you the last climb is a steep one. You'll come up to a parking area at the top of the hill, plenty of spaces, free. The tour guide was knowledgeable and conducted a fun tour, it took around 25min including making the way back via the man-made tunnel. And you get to see a gorgeous waterfall inside the cave, stalagmites, stalactites and bear remains. Also I got lucky as I was waiting outside taking pictures, my cave tour was due to start at 3.15pm, a huge truck rolled by and they were actually releasing a gorgeous vulture, huge bird less than 10feet from where I was standing. The guy even invited me to come nearer and watch the bird take flight. It perched on the rock wall immediately once released and actually took in it's surrounding before flying off. Was just lucky to witness that.

€15 per person is very expensive, i was expecting a lot more. The cave is relatively young and not much to see to be honest. It is very well maintained on the inside but for that price you would expect a lot more

I didn't do the cave, I preferred to climb a bit the path behind it. Wasn't bad, there is a café and souvenir shop at the entrance. Nice spot for a open view over the Highlands.

Visited today with my young family (6 and 2 year old). We visited years ago as a couple had fond memories but today was unbelievable. We arrived at door, hadn't prebooked. As we were paying my son noticed all the different colours for the tour groups and immediately wanted the blue one, my husband casually said hes autistic and loves the colour blue to the lady at desk and told my son to wait 2 mins until we were given a colour..with that the lady said would you like to wait few mins and il get a guide to bring you on a private tour through the cave, it was just my family and the guide, it was simply amazing the guide took the time to listen to all my sons questions, asked him first before she played any sounds( bear and bat noises) and asked him before she turned off all the lights. Made such a difference to our experience and he was on a high leaving, would definitely recommend if around the area. Special thanks to Michaela our guide, your kindness, patience and understanding was something that will stay with us for a long time.

I cannot express enough how amazing this place is. I am an avid bird lover and this was just a dream being here. The birds are all just wonderful creatures and deserve lots of love which they evidently get from the workers as the centre. The show was entertaining and educational. I held the birds as part of the show. I highly recommend going to the show. The workers Gavin and Gary are so passionate about their work and their birds. One has a tattoo of the primary feather of one of the birds and if that doesn't let you know that the birds are in safe hands then I don't know what would!! Milly was by far my favourite bird. The caves were great too, they had wonderful little displays and facts to educate the group on. 5 stars without a doubt !

Exceptional! The caves are a natural beauty that are well explained by local guides. The tours are long enough to engage visitors but short enough for younger children. Bring an extra layer of clothing for the caves. Birds or Prey show is a real bonus given by entertaining and knowledgeable staff. An educational and fun day out.

One of my favourite days out in Ireland, my wife and I went on the Hawk walk experience which was absolutely awesome, Gary was a true professional in handling the hawks, that cobined with his true Irish wit made this a wonderful experience. He involved my 2 & 4 year old kids in the show later on, just goes to show how comfortable he can make anyone feel around these amazing creatures. Thanks for such an amazing day guys highly recommended.

Fantastic cave and birds of prey centre... All the children visiting loved the birds display and were allowed to participate and ask questions. Money we'll spend as the birds of prey centre also are actively participating in worldwide rehabitation of almost extinct species of birds. The cave has a fantastic back story of how it was found and the tour is just 40 to 45 mins and is accessible for all... I recommend getting tickets in advance but we didn't need to.

The birds look like they are minded & fed really well. The bird show was very good too. First the Lady told us all about the bird while the bird kept flying around - she knew her stuff about the bird and was very calm. Same with the man after her

Amazing place to visit in the north of Clare. Even on the hottest day of the year the caves were nice and cool inside. Bring a torch if you can (phone will do) as the lightning is quite limited in some parts. Tours are guided and reasonable priced. Ice cream and an amazing view rounded up this trip.

Excellent, fantastic experience to be back here again after 30 years. Birds of prey for me were just unreal, a must see for anybody visiting the caves. The staff were lovely and the bird handlers amazing and so courteous to answer any questions or queries one might have. 🤗. The caves tour is something you have to experience. Well done and thank you all at Allwee experience, looking forward to a return visit in the near future. 👏. 👍.

The birds of prey are very interesting and the guides are great. Showing the birds made the trip to the cave worth while. Also the cheese that is being made there. The cave itself is not the most impressive one, but quite interesting.

This is a must do day out. Great for all ages. You get so much for your buck. The caves, the bird of prey display, get to see them up close, the farmhouse shop and the 2 gift shops. Those kids brave enough to ask a question get to hold a bird. Bring a picnic and enjoy the views.

Guide, David, was so knowledgable on the cave tour, making sure you don't miss a thing. You can walk along/up the Burren and get a great view. Gary from the Birds of Prey Centre gives an informative and very entertaining bird show. In the Farm Shop, you can sample their cheeses and fudge. Whole experience is about 2.5 hrs... and the only scheduled experience is the cave tour, which is under 1 hr.

Great trip for the family. Took about an hour between waiting and finishing the tour. The views around it are amazing. The cave tour guide was great too. Not really suitable for anyone claustrophobic. It gets really slippy and wet inside too so good shoes/trainers are advised.

It’s a crime that we haven’t visited this place sooner. Lots to learn on the tour. Walking through the place, I got this feeling I’d seen it before somewhere. Then it hit me. The very dark caves from Fr Ted! That made it all the better. The birds of prey was a great bonus. The girls loved Batty the eagle and Jess the barn owl. The staff are great too and very engaging and funny

Only visited the birds of prey and it was very good and entertaining. Birds well looked after and took in two shows. My daughter was delighted as she saw her favourite bird, the snowy owl in one of the shows. They do great work 😊 will visit the caves when my daughter is older as she too young now.

Fantastic few hours at Aillwee Burren Experience. Visited 8 years ago and definitely worth a revisit. New lighting display in the cave is fantastic and really gives a totally new experience. Brilliant tour guide, so enthusiastic. Falconers at the Birds of Prey show are great, funny and informative. Enjoyed the aviaries and the information on Vulture conservation at Aillwee. Great locally produced cheese, and yummy fudge at the Farm shop. Super friendly staff. Enjoyed lunch at Monks Ballyvaughan, a drive along the coast with stunning views, and a swim at Fanore beach. Ireland at it’s best!
