Really great camp site. Spent 3 nights there this weekend. Wonderful experience. Lots of activities for the kids. Layout is good, scenery is very nice and the site is well maintained Can't fault it and will return for a longer stay as there seems to be so much to do around the area I've had to add an edit to my review to reflect on some of the absolute nonsense reviews I've read here. Clearly by some of the complaints, some people would be better off booking into the Hilton and spending their morning at the Zoo in Dublin and their afternoon consuming wine and cheese at some posh knob eatery. One complete clown actually said there's nothing to see here. He must have missed the 3.19km walking trail down by the beautiful river, through the forest and up along the hill overlooking the valley, not to mention the dozen or so, nationally famous tourist attractions that are within a 15 minute drive of here. I met neither of the owners, I wasn't looking for a relationship with either of them, we were greeted by friendly young staff, a smile and a greeting any time we passed, and like all the best sites we were left alone to enjoy what was a fantastic long weekend. The only 2 negatives were, the stay wasn't long enough, and our 2 children crying in the back of our car because they had to go home - didn't stop crying the whole way home! Will absolutely return for a longer stay, hopefully this season.

We visited the park with all the farm animals. You can feed some of them too which is cute. We also bought a pumpkin each down in the pumpkin patch. There are lots of photo opportunities too. There is a food truck and a café and toilets and showers, althought they are for the campers staying on the campsite. A brilliant day out!

Really clean campsite. Staff are friendly and helpful. Great place to stay with children. The farm is wonderful. Really interactive, lots of animals. Our daughter loved playing with the bunnies and feeding the lambs.

Fantastic family campsite. Lots of fun activities to keep the kids occupied. The 3 kids with us (13, 12, 11) were gone from the minute we arrived, only retuning to our tent for food occasionally! Excellent playground, unlimited access to view all the animals, farm animal feeding sessions twice a day. The paid attractions (tractor rides, go-karts, crazy golf) were very reasonably priced and we did them all. The pitches are also excellent, flat, generously spaced. We had a beautiful view from ours. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Freshly baked rolls and scones available to order were delicious. Free showers were a fantastic asset during our stay. 1 star withdrawn due to the toilet facilities. The site would improve with the addition of a second toilet block. Failing that, the existing block could do with increased cleaning at busy times. There was a 'toilet' smell, not horrendous but present during the hottest and busiest part of the day. Overall, a really enjoyable, relaxing visit by both the adults and kids. We'll definitely be back to try out the walks and tour the area more next time!

Just back from a brilliant weekend at Nore valley. Have to say I was anxious going reading mixed reviews on social media this place seemed to be a bit like marmite people loved it or hated it. I couldn't fault it, it's a great spot. We arrived Friday and were greeted by a nice fella on reception that showed us down to our pitch. The pitch was fabulous very spacious and enough room on the side for the kids to play safely, the pitch was very clean. They do amazing home made pizza on site (best ever according to the kids)and delicious scones and jam you can order the day before very reasonable priced! Lots to do for the family, go karts tractor rides, crazy golf, they can hold bunny's chick's and bottle feed baby goats. They have a nice little tuck shop. The toilets and showers are basic but fine, shower floors a little grubby but hey it's a working farm it gets muddy and dusty what do people expect bring flip-flops for the showers it's fine! Staff lovely, location lovely, lots to do. Thanks for a lovely trip and great memories 😊 We will be back!

After reading so many positive reviews I was very excited to go here for the day with my family but I was so disappointed with it. I paid for a family day pass which I'm assuming was just to be able to see a couple of animals in a field as you had to pay extra for the tractor ride, the go-karts and the crazy golf. The tractor ride was such a waste. You go down a hill, past a couple of fields and back up. Just another way to make money. Paid for the go-karts but couldn't use them as they were closed and there was no member of staff there to open them. The only positive of the day was the animal feeding. The kids got to hold a rabbit and a chick and feed a lamb. The lady looking after this was so lovely and friendly and made sure each child got a hold of an animal and also got to help feeding the lamb. We drove over an hour to get here and I was honestly so let down. It's not a place you could go to and spend all day there. For the land that's there they could definitely put a lot more into it to improve things. Get some giant board games or something for the kids to play with. I just felt like once they had your money, they didn't care about the experience.

Took grandchildren to camp, hardly saw them all weekend. Easter egg hunt was a massive success with them. Activities are plentiful and very reasonably priced. Facilities are great, free showers, TV room, pool room... only flaw is almost the entire camping ground is sloped, child and I kept sliding down our mats while we slept 😆 Definitely returning!!!

A brilliant find. Fresh baked good daily (remember to order the evening before). Great pitches and playground. Tranquil. Easy to get into Kilkenny city. Really friendly staff and most importantly, the kids had an absolute ball. Thanks for everything!

Just back from 2 nights camping in Nore Valley Park. Had a lovely stay. Lovely site, very good facilities, plenty of activities for my son to keep him busy, very friendly and helpful staff, especially George, and lovely brown bread for breakfast. We also enjoyed pizza freshly made on site one of the evenings. Very well run park and farm, and it felt very safe. We will be back.

I would have given this place 5 stars, except the toilets are terrible. Staff friendly, and nicely kept grounds outside. Excellent for children as lots for them to do. Pitches on the lower area are excellent, yet we were put in a field at the top where all the caravans/tents are wedged in like sardines. How hard is it for a business in these modern times where most customers expect clean facilities, not to spend a few bob, do up the toilets and showers and then you have a 5/5 modern campsite. Disappointing and unfortunately would not go back!

Such a great campsite. Facilities were very good and staff friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed seeing all the animals and playing crazy golf. The homemade bread scones jam and pizzas were very tasty. Great value for money and we return in the future

We went to this pumpkin patch with our 11 month old and had a great time. Lots of friendly staff around to help at all times. Good value for money for the experience, the pumpkins and photos. The photo area set up was very nice too. Provided carving equipment which was great too. Overall, all positives and will be returning next year.

Myself and my family ( 4 families in total) enjoyed the Halloween experience at Nore Valley this past weekend. It was our first time here. We were all so impressed. The staff were so helpful and friendly but in a really relaxed way that added to to charm of the place. The kids got hands on with the animals which they all loved and the pumpkin patch and carving was very stress free and considering the recent bad weather, relatively clean and tidy. The picnic areas were clean and plentiful with all amenities easily accessible. Looking forward to returning and keeping fingers crossed they open up the farm for Christmas events . Many thanks for a wonderful, wholesome and memorable family day out.

Just back from a long weekend with 6 young kids, they had a ball loads for them to do. Staff and facilities were excellent couldn't fault them, the bakery on site was a great touch. ⛳️Unfortunately the crazy golf wasn't up to PAR I didn't win a game all weekend 😆😆

Place is lovely, well layed out, great facilities, lots for the kids to do, staff are exceptionally good, service with a smile and a natter, would definitely recommend to those with young families. I should also mention the chocolate chip cookies available for purchase in the tuck shop, they are lovely, they are a disc shape, about 8mm thick, possibly a radius of 26mm and they dissolve with the touch of human saliva, yummy.

Didn’t have a booking and the lady at the desk went out of her way to get us a nice spot , the setting was lovely the farm was amazing and the pizza they make on site was a big hit with the kids , only suggestion is maybe something more for teenagers will definitely return here. Didn’t get to do river walk as weather went against us .

Nore Valley campsite So where do I start? The site: The main site is quite small and the pitch’s are all on top of each other. I mean literally….. we actually had somebody else’s guide ropes in the porch of our tent. The pitch’s are just not big enough for a large family tent and when we asked to move we were told that was not an option (deal with it) There is very much the attitude and feeling that they just want your money and they really don’t care about much else. Everything on the site costs money! Especially the kids activities like Mini golf or tractor rides, from the moment we arrived the vampires were on our door. The amenities: The facilities (showers, toilets, kitchen etc…) are largely out dated, not adequate for the amount of guests and tbh just unclean and pretty disgusting. The shop has the resemblance of a post communist country store, if you were hoping for supplies other than a few sweets and ice creams then you will be disappointed. The site is open to the public during the day and the toilets are used by everyone all day long and are not cleaned regularly. There is also litter everywhere, sweet wrappers and cigarette butts etc, and the community areas are filthy. There just seems to be a real lack of care and attention. The entire 5 days we were at the campsite I never saw any staff members come around cleaning up and checking on the tents. There was also no water on the entire site for a whole day with out any prior warning or apology for the staff! The noise: If you are looking for a nice relaxing and quiet campsite then this is definitely not for you!!! The site curfew is apparently 10pm but this is more like 11pm and doesn’t seem to be enforced in any way. There are kids running wild all over the site and in between the tents with what seems to be zero adult supervision. We tried to get our 4 year old to sleep by 9pm (which is late for us) but this proved impossible because of the noise. The site is very loud and antisocial! Then the industrial farm machinery starts at 10:30pm until 2:30am in the neighbouring fields, so loud it was like the combine was in the tent. On a positive note the petting zoo and farm animals are a brief bonus and this was great for the kids but no amount of fluffy bunnies and newborn lambs can save this place!!

We didn't stay here but just went for the day to the petting farm and had a blast! The staff was great and the animals were adorable. We got to hold and pet lambs, piglets, bunnies and chicks. As 2 adults with no kids, it was well worth the trip.

Unfortunately our experience in Nore Valley was not a positive one and I really don't like to give negative reviews but I do speak as I find. We are a family of 4 in a caravan well used to travelling and visiting different sites. On arrival we were put in an overflow field which was fine. By the end of evening however this field was far too packed with no space between each caravan. We were so close to the caravans on either side we could hear their conversations (we were directed to park this way by staff on site) On the way down to the main site we passed by the bins which were overflowing each day, lots of wasps and a smell from the bins. Toilets and shower area's were not clean on any day at any time. The positives are it is set in a lovely location, the playground is fun for kids, and the pizzas and scones are lovely. I wouldn't recommend this site unless you are placed on the main area

A great campsite for families. Farm, playground and activities on-site. The staff are lovely, friendly and patient with the kids. It is Rustic as it's a farm, but that's what we like. Being able to light a fire would have been nice on the cold evenings and to roast Marshmallows, but we'll defo be back when it's warmer

Positives: Beautiful campsite, great variety of animals, kids loved the feeding times and playground. Scones delicious in the morning, pizza lovely in evening (albeit very cheesy). Staff very friendly and helpful, kids enjoyed tractor ride. Toilets clean, great campers kitchen. Great chess set, pool tables and ping pong table. Strict curfew. Negatives: shower ran cold halfway through, not a lot of indoor areas when raining, crazy golf needs updating.

I went to the Nore Valley Halloween event on Halloween night with a friend and our kids aged 11 and 14. We were greeted by a staff member in a Halloween costume who showed us where to go to sign in and explained about hunting for clues. He stayed in character the whole time and made things so fun for the kids. You were able to buy torches and the kids had a ball hunting for clues in the dark! Definitely bring wellies! The highlight was the Haunted Maze which my son thoroughly enjoyed - spooky passageways and all sorts of zombies and ghouls creeping up behind you to give you a scare - absolutely fabulous Halloween fun! Very well organised, friendly staff who really gave it their all - I highly recommend it!

Just back from the Easter egg hunt today. It was our first trip to Nore Valley. We had a ball, my little girl loved seeing all the animals up close. There was a young local chap working with the small animals and driving the tractor, he was so good with the children. An absolute credit to his family so polite and friendly.

  • 3/5 Anthony F. 1 year ago on Google
After paying the entrance fee there was a charge for the tractor ride. Which brought you through the farm down to the river, threw a field, looking out for the "crocodile" but they didn't have any "crocodile" out that the kids could spot. Animal petting was very good. We got to hold a lamb, rabbit, chick. Parking outside reception keep an eye on kids as tractor and cars pass by which you wouldn't see leaving reception / farm area.

Fabulous camp site. Lots for families to do. Spotless. Great facilities for campers. Only little niggle was that the shop wasn't open on Sunday morning when we were leaving and we didn't get to bring home some of the homemade cookies and jams 😞 but we'll definitely be back.

Had a lovely experience at the Nore Valley Christmas experience. From meeting Mischief the Elf at check in to Mrs Claus taking our pics. The best part was of course meeting Santa. Highly recommend it to family & friends. We have done a few different Santa visits & Nore Valley is always our favourite.

Fabulous experience meeting Santa yesterday! Ideal for younger kids as it’s local and no major waiting time. Santa was so lovely and even personalised our visit by mentioning one or two things about the girls. They got a little gift and a voucher for free ice cream at The Pantry! Just perfect!

Halloween treasure hunt was brilliant this year, the thought that went into it and all the little details. The marshmallow roasting and maze were a big hit. Also, the young people working at the farm are some of the nicest people I've ever come across, so polite and helpful and great with the kids. Will definitely return next year! Just remember wellies and a decent flashlight!

Santa experience was fine. Santa himself was lovely, as were the elves and Mrs Claus. We got in and out quickly. For the price, I would have preferred a better quality gift for the children instead of the free ice cream. The gift my daughter got was poor quality, plastic rubbish that has no educational value and will end up in the bin. A book or jigsaw would have had much more play value.

We had a lovely experience in McDonagh Junction. Santa was lovely and most of his elves were very friendly. The only extra I would have liked is the opportunity to be emailed copies of photos so I could have them printed in a different size. All in all it was a great set up for baby’s first Christmas.

Santa was exceptional, my kids said he was definitely the real Santa!!!!! My children were very impressed. No fuss before or afterwards, very friendly Elfs, in the waiting room where the children can colour. Very well organised. Highly recommend.
