This park is absolutely beautiful. People are walking and playing with their dogs peacefully. You can calm your mind by watching the amazing view or just taking a long walk. It’s just lovely

Irish National War Memorial Gardens is a beautiful place to be. I love the character of this place. It is both serene and elegant. No matter the amount of people in it, it maintains a calming and comforting atmosphere. I see plenty of people visiting this place with their pets, mostly for walks. The terrain is slightly elevated in one corner of the garden, giving a perfect viewing angle to take a look at the entire area. On one side, the garden extends as far as the bank of river Liffey. One could continue to walk along the river bank as far as Chapelizod. It is a walking path also shared by cyclists and therefore, one needs to be cautious about that. There are two sunken rose gardens with ponds at their centre. The symmetrical design is evident when one gets to the actual memorial, for it stands in between the two sunken gardens. I love visiting this place. I feel that it is the perfect honour one could give to a war hero – making people feel safe and peaceful even in their death. The comfort enjoyed by frequent visitors to this place is enough merit for these heroes to walk peacefully to their next level of existence, whatever it may be according to their belief.

My favourite place to chill out in Dublin. Always peaceful, great for dog watching, close to the city and has the most beautiful gardens

Such a nice place for a walk. It’s quite large and has a lot of different zones e.g. picnic area by the river, rose garden, war memorial monuments, etc. During spring you can enjoy gorgeous cherry blossom alleys 🌸

Very calm and peaceful garden. I liked to see people doing canoe. You can have your own breakfast here and start to visit touristic points around here.

Beautiful place to visit. Unfortunately we visited in the winter so flowers were long gone but the structures there are so beautiful and the history behind them will fascinate you. This is definitely a place to visit in the warmer months but quite a peaceful walk in the colder months. Bring a picnic and a blanket. The seclusion is amazing and so peaceful - and yet so close to the inner city. For dog walkers there is a perfect trail along the canal that is quite long.

Lovely park. Easy to get to on public transport. I recommend coming with the bike , it made getting around really easy and you can cut across the fields to go and see the river more easily! Als There's a lovely cafΓ© which makes lovely fresh coffee .

Beautiful and big garden to have a walk. The park is very close to the city and Phoenix park. The car parking is free. Best time to visit is March&April when the park is filled with cherry blossom flowers. The Liffey river flows through the edge of the park nice to have a walk through its bank. The world war monuments are on the south side of the park and they have rose gardens on the either sides.

The nicest park in Dublin. It is always a pleasure to come around for a walk or run, throughout the year. It can get crowded at peak times, so early mornings are even better to see and stroll around.

The Irish National War Memorial Park in Islandbridge is a beautifully laid out park designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens. They are dedicated to the memory of the 49,400 Irish soldiers who died in World War 1. The name of every single soldier is contained in the sumptuously illustrated Harry Clarke manuscripts in the granite bookrooms. Sunken rose gardens, herbaceous borders and extensive tree-planting make for an enjoyable visit in any season. It is very well maintained by OPW I love where it is situated at the side of the Liffey.

A serene and beautiful place to spend some time with nature. Riverside walkway, memorial architecture will make you come back here. Situated within the city and accessibility is very convenient. Must visit if you like to go for walks by the river. Perfect location for a day out with kids, friends or family.

the park is clean, tidy, airy, the roses have not yet bloomed, only flower buds. There is no public toilet. There are many chairs and places to lie down and sunbathe along the river. The corner I like most is the Centre sunken Rose garden with the view of one of the pair of granite bookrooms.

Lovely rose gardens. You can sometimes see swans as well as herons here. A few rowing clubs are there and it's nice to watch the rowers going up and down the river. Sometimes there are people fishing too.

A nice spot for walking. The car park on the map takes you to the other side of the park. Search for Civil Service GAA and enter through that gate. No restrooms.

I loved this park , it has such beautiful geometric set up. We had a pic there before walking up to the rose garden, which is such a gem. Beautifully kept with benches in between. It felt very cosy and fairytaleish. As far as parks go I think this one is worth a visit!

Lovely area to walk around, we didn't realise how big the park was till we went into visit, good few parking spaces as it was middle week. But lovely area to walk around with a good lot of green grass and trees to walk around and relax. Its beside the river liffey which is a nice little walk and I say from time to time you could see the rowing clubs are out. The memorial garden was a big expanded area I say in spring/summer when the roses are in full bloom it looks spectacular and the fountains on. We visited late autumn. There is a walk from the park to the next village.

This place is amazing. Part of it looks like a real life version of Legend of Zelda. So hidden away and unknown to most people still. Packs a lot into the space! It has: 1. A canal to walk beside 2. A stone veranda kind of thing 3. Huge rose bed things with ponds 4. A hill and forestry area 5. A cool bunch of trees like an orchard You can also walk out along the canal all the way to chapelizod. I recommend a visit

Beautiful gardens and him to the Irish War Memorial. Here every year they have the very moving memorial services. Lots of buses to the area but ask the busman to call your stop out to make sure you get there.
