I only stayed here one night but wished that I could have stayed longer. It felt more like an apartment. Nice grounds too with walkways with benches, pool, pickleball court, and dog run in the back. Would be great for families looking for a longer-term stay also.

This place is amazing, biggest rooms we have ever been in for the price. Second floor loft with it's own bathroom, three TVs, a fireplace...it felt like a home. Beds were comfortable and kitchen was more than spacious. Only 35 minutes from downtown through some nice suburbs, this place is great for families or to get back and relax after visiting the Chicago sites. Halfway between Great Lakes NB and the Chicago nightlife.

I’ve stayed here once before in their 1 king bed and bath suite and had a positive experience. Which is why I chose to book here again but in their 2 bed 2 bath suite since I have 2 large dogs with me. They have a dog run (not fenced in) for you to walk your dog. They also provide poop bags at the dog run. All suites have a full service kitchen including an oven. Rooms on both occasions have been nice and clean. This is more of a PSA than a complaint to any future guests for the 2bd/2ba suites. The upstairs bedroom loft and bathroom are best suited for children or shorter guests. I’m 5’7” and the bed was barely long enough for me to lay on without my feet hanging off the end. But I had to have my head very close to the headboard. The toilet for the upstairs bathroom is ridiculously low to the ground. I imagine anyone over 5’ tall is going to have an issue squatting down to sit on it. So keep that in mind when assigning sleeping arrangements with your party. The beds are VERY soft, for me this is a bit of an issue after 3 nights because I need a firm mattress for my bad back. So if you need a firm mattress like me you may want to limit your stay to one or two nights or look elsewhere. Surrounding area has a Jewel grocery store, Walgreens pharmacy, McDonald’s, Dunkin’ Donuts, and a Portillo’s! All in all it was a very nice stay once again!

Studios were spacious with comfortable couch for relaxing and a wide desk to get work accomplished. Slept well in the spacious king-sized bed and made use of the full kitchen. Plenty of closet space to accommodate the things we brought for our 11 day stay. Lots of areas to walk dog on the property and nearby. Good breakfast and very attractive staff. Common areas were well maintained, as were the rooms. Very nice workout room and outdoor pool. Good location, also…near restaurants and highway/tollway. Definitely recommend,

Nothing wrong with the room I had it was great. There was a huge family in the room next to us when the rest of the building was completely empty. They were noisy and up all night an even threw trash in front of our front and patio doors. I went up to the front office to ask them to switch rooms and they said they were completely booked. Of course I knew he was lying because I saw on the website there's plenty of rooms and our building only had two rooms that were occupy. I was there for another 5 nights and guess what. They still had plenty of rooms. I think the front desk person knew that family and let them stay in there for free because the next night they were less noisy. The following night they were moved to a different building. I just didn't like how they lied to me and said I can't move rooms when I asked. You need to stop lying to your customers.

This is the place to stay if you have a long term stay planned and you want to feel at home. I stayed six months while on a work assignment and it was a haven of rest and relaxation.

Rooms are good, breakfast is horrible. Plan to make your own. The AC is super hard to control the temp. It’s cold/hot no medium. Hard to sleep in that.

Friendly staff, clean and attractive rooms, great breakfast, and perfect location. The hotel is NOT actually right on busy 4-lane Lake Cook Road. It is tucked away in a quiet area and feels more like a neighborhood.

We are very happy with our loft style room and would like to share our appreciation of the extraordinary efforts of Assistant General Manager, Michael Bowle. Michael helped us haul our extensive baby gear after a tiring day of travel. We are all resting comfortably after our generous welcome.

The guest studio room was wonderful. The property was clean, quiet and staff was nice. The only issue I experienced was there was no available transportation after 5 or on weekends to get to train station or the airport. I would definitely stay again.

This was our first visit to a Residence Inn by Marriott. We were thrilled to find such a nice hotel option that allows large dogs. The staff was very friendly and the location was convenient. The only negative what's that there was a loud person above us, but that is not unexpected when we stay in hotels and did not detract very much from our enjoyment of this particular space. The layout of the rooms was great, with exterior doors to each room. We stayed in a king studio and thoroughly enjoyed having a full kitchen as well as a fireplace in the room! My husband is a professional puppeteer and our rescue dog and I travel with him, exploring towns while he is performing. Unfortunately, with temperature under 10 degrees on the day we were checking out, the dog and I would have been in the car rather than exploring. We asked for a late check out, due to the incredibly cold temperature. The staff was understanding and allowed us a one hour late checkout at no extra charge!

My family of 5 had to stay here on two separate occasions this year, a couple months total due to our home getting renovations. It was not an easy adjustment with three small children but the staff is so nice. They were so helpful to me one time even offering to help me carry groceries up to the room and sending someone right away to fix the air conditioning when it wasn’t working well. The grounds were always clean and tidy. The cleaning from housekeeping once a week was a perk too. My kids loved the pool and will probably talk about this hotel forever. Thanks for your hospitality!

My first stay at a Residence Inn, but it won't be my last. Roomy, comfy. Like staying with a friend, not at a hotel. Nice courtyard. Plenty of closet space. Friendly staff.

We booked the 2 bedroom 2 bath suite . One bedroom was with the door and other one on the loft. Our receptionist was kind enough to extend our checkout time to 2 hrs as we had a flight scheduled late in the day .. thanks to him .. the accommodation was very clean and we really loved our stay .. Will surely come back for our Chicago visits..

Nice clean room with a kitchen. Room was cleaned after the 2nd day of our 4 day stay. IMO this property is due for an update to include an adult size toilet especially in a single King room (pet peeve). Also difficult to cook breakfast in a fry pan made for a gas or coil range on a smooth top. Plumbing issue and locating a lost piece if medical equipment were handled immediately.

In 2016 my family stayed hade for about a week. A couple days in, we had $5000 stolen from my mother’s purse. The management just said there’s nothing they can do. Their cameras didn’t catch anything. The cops couldn’t help either. If you want to keep your belongings safe do not stay here.

So this stay was both good and bad. On the good side the room was comfortable, clean, and in good condition. Although there were a number of pets there, it was notably peaceful. The location was great for our needs, close to shopping, highways and families. On to the not so good. They seem to have staffing problems and it unfortunately showed in some aspects of service. We had a 20 day stay and would have had yhe room serviced only once if we hadn't spoken up. They missed a scheduled service after the second week and made no sign they were going to come again until we raised the issue. It turned into 10 days between room servicing. It seems they priorities rooms for upcoming guests over existing guests. Bonvoy Platinum elite apparently doesn't mean much. We also had problems with package delivery. We had parcels addressed to us exactly as they instructed us to, but apparently they turned our parcel away when it arrived, and we needed to venture to the DHL depot to fetch it. The staff were all nice and friendly, and when we pointed out problems they made best efforts to fix things. But I can only conclude they are overtaxed resulting in them performing in a flawed manner. I think RI may need to investgate/review some of their processes and see if they have the staff to perform them properly.

Awesome for a family if 4 (2 teen girls). Kitchen to prepare lunch, great breakfast and pool is enough for us. You need a car of course. Plenty of places to go nearby. Beaches are expensive though.

First day of our 1 week visit to chicago was ruined by these guys. After waiting hours in line to check in, told that the cleaning staff left without cleaning rooms?!?! What kind of hotel management is that?! Offered 5000 points = $35 for ruining our whole day. Ridiculous. If you offer alternate hotels, should have at least made an effort to get us an equivalent room from your own or another hotel chain. Instead we were expected to be happy with last minute hotel reservation rates elsewhere?! Left to scramble on our own to find another hotel with a one year old. Really poor handling Marriott and Residence Inn

If it wasn't for the manager having checked us in an hour early and staff being friendly, this would be a 1 star. Got up to the room, fully unpacked, and while going towards the sink outside the bathroom stepped in a wet spot on the carpet. It was pee - guessing pet due to it being relatively pungent. It was out of the way and I thought it made sense someone might not notice it, until we found two much larger spots near the entrance towards the kitchen. Staff was apologetic and came with cleaner, but even after rinsing out the spot and airing it out with the large sliding door (that opens directly to a patio rail - odd but convenient here), it smelled pretty strong of cleaner 6 hours later when we came back. While we didn't ask for a new room when we notified them (again, early check in), we weren't offered one either. By the time we got back there wouldn't have been time to settle the kids into a new space. Based on how strong the spray was, I have to imagine they usually don't have someone stay in the room when they have to use it. Possibly equally problematic but more endemic, is that the second floor unit we were on feels like it was carpeted over something other than a smooth surface (wood or other). There are several spots where the carpet dips down as you walk, and frankly if youre not careful could probably trip. I will say - it was a quiet place, and I didn't have to worry about anyone coming through the halls drunkenly waking up the kids. That's why I booked it in the first place. But, in hindsight, it probably wasn't worth the benefit at about $200 for the night.
