Maria Palato has a great selection of wines. You can do the tasting menu or choose what you want to drink by the glass. The way it works is you describe to them which kind of wine you are looking for (red, dry, fruity notes..), and they suggest two or three options. I love this style; even if you don't know a lot about wine, you feel comfortable, and they will make a good choice for you. They also have homemade pickled sardines that are delicious!

During our trip in Lisbon, we've visited this place 4 or 5 times. The amazing staff was super welcoming, helpful and knew a lot about the wines. if you are looking for a chill place to hang out and take a break from all the walking I highly recommend this spot.

A very nice place to have wine or port wine. Very knowledgeable personnel and good service. If you order the port wine taste menu be prepared to be seated for at least two to three hours, not because they are slow, but because they are very generous with the glasses (6 good full glasses) so it'll take a while for you to soak up the alcohol. Be prepared to get tipsy and have a great time here. Be sure to enjoy the cheese platter as well since it is great and an experience of its own. We paid about 100 EUR for two people but also ordered extra cheese and some octopus that was a great addition appetizer with the wine. Cannot recommend it enough.

We highly recommended this place if you are wine lovers! The amazing staff and owner were super knowledgeable, they knew a lot about the wines and offered us to try a port wine which was so good! We end up bought home 4 bottles! Their cute dog called Poncha, welcomes every single customers at the entrance and the owner use her as a logo of their house wine.

Such a fun and warm experience! You’ll be greeted by the cutest host in the world (the little dog, Poncha) and then relax with delicious wine and snacks. We did the wine tasting for 40 euros, which came with six generous glasses of wine and a meat and cheese board. The host explained each wine and region thoroughly and we were more than happy to sit and enjoy this place for a couple of hours. Highly recommend!

Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt, der Service war freundlich, aber nicht aufdringlich. Ja, die Preise sind etwas höher als anderswo, aber man bekommt dazu auch die Expertise zum Wein. Nicht zu vergessen, die süßeste Türsteherin, Poncha 🐕. Toller Abend!

Excellent wine selection, yummy tapas, and the customer service are five stars, but my favorite part was meeting their beautiful and well-behaved dog !!!!

We really loved wine tasting at this bar. The owner was so nice and explained so much about the wine. We had a tasting for Vino Verde. We also got snacks which were all delicious. It is cozy, intimate, and a wonderful experience!

We lucked in on this bar while we were headed for dinner. We turned a corner on a street and there it was. It was on our list of things to explore. And my, what a surprise it was. We had our first tastings of the Vinho Verde , in white , red and sparkling. The service was outstanding and they were very informative. We'd definitely go back for more. We also had one of the staff who went out of his way to recommend the very best of attractions and food in Porto, our next destination. Thank you 😊 for accommodating us so well. Serendipity at its very best.

We were blown away by the experience at Maria Palato! My husband and I wanted to try port wine while we were in Portugal, and Maria Palato popped up on our google search. It far exceeded expectations! We started with some red port wines (which were fantastic), and when we finished those one of the employees had us sample some of the white port wines just for the experience. You can tell they are very passionate and knowledgeful about their craft and are eager to share it with others. Everything was exquisite and the atmosphere was lovely. We had such a wonderful time and will absolutely be ordering from them in the future (and stopping by when we’re in Lisbon again!).

Disappointed after seeing such great reviews. The wines we tried were nice but I found the service and experience did not match what others found. Service was slow even though it was super quiet. Whilst we were there staff had their Uber eats lunch at the table beside us. The description of the wines was fairly basic and I did not find the experience very personable. Perhaps we were just unlucky on the day we visited.

What an incredible experience! We tried so many amazing wines, and with our tasting got a charcuterie with delicious cheeses, breads, meats, and olives. My friends and I stopped here before a 1pm lunch, and myself and another friend stayed until past two finishing off with ports and just incredible service. I highly recommend you stop at this gorgeous little store. It wasn’t planned, but one of the best stops of my visit in Lisbon. It didn’t hurt that I could stumble back to my flat after tasting 8+ wines. Incredible service, incredible wine; and what more could you ask for?

Absolutely loved this wine bar. We sampled quite a few in Lisbon but kept coming back here. Food is amazing, cheese and meat platter is a must and the Porto sandwich is well worth a try. The staff here are super knowledgeable about wine so you’re best to ask for their recommendations and let them do their thing! Highly recommend
