Lovely food. They didn’t have the grilled octopus sadly but I had the garlic shrimp instead which was 10/10. & I tried Portuguese Merlot for the first time, first a 2019 bottle which was extremely full bodied, then a 2021 bottle which was super light. Also the clams, the flambéed sheep cheese & the deep fried peppers. So delicious and great service from the two kind and beautiful waitresses. Oh and the chocolate cake was unbelievable… it looks dry but it’s not, it is so so moist and yummy.

They told us the kitchen was close for and hour and we waited. Reviews were good we didn’t mind waiting and having drinks. Drinks are delicious hands down. Well, the kitchen didn’t open after an hour and a half. We wanted to leave earlier but the waitress took forever to bring the credit card terminal. I know the waitress was trying but instead of paying attention to the restaurant patrons her priorities were elsewhere. Both will get easily distracted. Drinks are good tho! I will definitely give them credit for that.

Good reviews led us into this restaurant for a tapas lunch. Outdoor tables were full so we sat inside where we were immediately ignored. Finally ordered and some came, then nothing. Tracked down a server, more came, then nothing. Had to follow up again. Food was very good but lack of service turned us off.

Great experience. The atmosphere is quite nice, the place is small but cozy, and the food was delicious all around. I had the Pica Pau which was very meaty and a nice combination of flavors (the tenderloin was also perfectly cooked, medium rare). Definitely worth eating here.

We found this restaurant while we visited the Castelo de São Jorge. The restaurant has some tapas options and main dishes as well. You can sit outside in the sun and have a look at the castle wall or inside the restaurant as well. The staff was friendly, helpful and nice. We had to wait some minutes before we got our table. FOOD We had the chicken gizzard in tomato sauce and this was really good and tasty. It was not dry and the meat was delicious. The second tapa was the rabbit with ginger and vegetables. This was okay and good, but nothing special at all. I think that there was some sauce missing. The last tapa was the shrimp tempura. You will got 3 pieces and they are nice and good, but for me they should come with a sauce or some bread. All in all something was missing! We ordered furthermore one main dish: the codfish with potatoe and Portuguese cabbage, which was a little bit salty and unfortunately a little bit burned as well.

A charming little place in the heart of the old town Lisbon. If you ever go visit the castle please consider to come to this place if you’re hungry. Amazing tapas and if you go you must order the garlic shrimps they definitely have the WOW factor.

We had a really great lunch at Conqvistador! While we had to wait a while for a table in the shade, it was well worth it. Service was friendly and professional, and the atmosphere on a warm summer‘s day was super relaxing. The food was very enjoyable and we enjoyed our time there a lot!

My husband and I were so lucky to be staying near this cozy and delicious spot. Everything from the vintage dinnerware to the tapas combining delightful local flavors added to this wonderful dining experience. We chose an array of tapas including Pica-Pau, shrimp in garlic, tempura green beans, Prego (which we had in other restaurants, but it was best here) and chicken wings. Their homemade bread and butter is equally amazing as well as their olives and carrots which they supply immediately. However you only get charged for what you eat. We opened both jars and ate bread. Definitely worth it! The service was friendly and suggestions for wine and cocktails were nicely curated by the staff. They even made a rather tasty margarita! We fell in love with this place and highly recommend it. If in Lisbon, treat yourself and stop in for lunch or dinner. It was the food highlight of our trip.

Honestly this will be the highlight meal of my trip! Amazing octopus dish--so freaking delicious! Live music with outdoor seating completed the ambience perfection.

Very good food, we tried beef liver, pica-pau (beef with pork sausages), and green soup, very tasty food. We stayed inside , it 's small, coasy and nice.

Nett gemacht, das Essen wirklich war gut. Der Kellner machte auf uns einen eher desinteressiert Eindruck.

The small restaurant is definitely worth a visit! The menu is not very extensive, but each dish is a small specialty. The service is very friendly and we have already spent lovely evenings there. An integral part of our visit to Lisbon.

Everything was very good. Octopus salad, rabbit and carrots, Portuguese soup, ear pig dish and gizzard with tomato sauce. Perfect portion of desert finished the meal. Porto and cherry liqueur were delicious. The young lady was very nice. Well done and thank you!

We had drinks outside then moved in for dinner. All the servers were duper sweet and the good was incredible. The lime tart was absolutely delicious and the place is super cute. Would definitely come back here.

Great Portuguese-style octopus, craft beer (their own apparently). The local offers a cozy room inside or a place to sit outside.

Great food and service from the waitress Ana. She pointed the most famous dishes and drinks which made a lot of difference. We had the octopus salad and cod fish cakes, everything very well done and nicely served!

Everyone talked about the dishes - it is very lovely, one of the best meals I had in Lisbon. But how come no one talk about their desserts? THEY ARE WONDERFUL. THEY ARE TO DIE FOR! Try the lime pie and mango & passionate fruit cheesecake, they are not only best in Lisbon but can be considered one of the best in the world.

This was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. I had the rabbit and my boyfriend had the octopus. We had no expectations, we were just hungry, and thank God we were! This was one of my most memorable meals - succulent rabbit, tender octopus, exquisite wine list…. All with amazing service from our very busy yet super sweet and charming server. Don’t miss the octopus or rabbit! The pommes frites were divine as well! If you’re there, I envy you!

We came here for the reviews and it was well worth it. Cozy little place with friendly staff and very good food. Try it!

The waiters and staff were very friendly and accommodating. The meat and chips were a bit too salty, but the rest of the food was great! The fish and meat would also be a five stars, if they were a little less salty. The drinks are the best I’ve drunken in a long time, especially the lemonades. It’s rare to find a lemonade so well balanced without being too sweet. Also, the gazpacho was excellent.

Awesome place for some tapas and Portuguese food for dinner. The portions are quite small and made to share, so order a couple. Also, they make amazing pastel de nata served straight from the oven!

This was a great first dinner in Lissabon for us. Lovely fresh food. Nice waiters that made really good recommendations. Every dish we ordered was spot on. At the end of the evening we all wanted to marry the cook ;-) Don't forget to try the homemade white sangria too.

We came to this place because of f the good reviews and the expectations were met. The staff was very nice and relaxed, we had a reservation inside but they managed to accommodate us outside. The location is also great (near the castle S. Jorge). We had the octopus salad, shrimps with garlic and prego sandwich. All were super delicious with a big plus on the shrimps and octopus salad.

We had a delightful lunch here. The pastel de bacalhau was fantastic! We also had the octopus salad, prawn pastel and a beef and pork dish - all of which were delicious. The waitresses were really friendly and attentive too.

Great location in a small and calm street even if it’s near the St Jorge church. The gaspacho was so tasteful, I had to order it twice haha.

The best lunch we’ve had in Lisbon, everything is cooked and seasoned perfectly and presented beautifully!

We have been to Lisbon before, and have currently been here a week. This is BY FAR the best place we have eaten. Craft beers, ginja, Port. We ate the white bean soup, chicken wings (don't judge, they are very different from US wings), fried bread crumbs with cabbage and sausage, and bread. It was too good to eat to wait for me to take a pic. This is right outside the castle entrance.

Great restaurant with local cuisine and some selection of local craft beers. The prices are affordable for the area, the interior inside and views outside are nice, and the service is fast and attentive. Octopus lagareiro is magnificent.

👍👍 I was very surprised to see that even though this is right in the middle of “tourist town” the Pastel De Nata is by far the best I have ever tried.
