Dining
at
Scarpetta
Italian
Restaurant
was
a
fantastic
experience.
The
bread
service
was
a
delightful
start,
truly
amazing.
The
food
itself
was
excellent,
and
the
mocktails
were
a
pleasant
surprise.
What
really
stood
out,
though,
was
the
top-notch
service.
Our
waiter,
despite
not
sharing
our
Astros
fandom,
provided
excellent
service
throughout
the
meal,
making
our
visit
all
the
more
enjoyable.
Interesting
fact:
In
slang,
“scarpetta”
refers
to
the
act
of
using
a
piece
of
bread
to
mop
up
or
soak
up
the
remaining
sauce
or
juices
on
a
plate
after
finishing
a
meal,
typically
in
a
restaurant.
It’s
a
casual
and
informal
term
used
to
describe
this
practice
of
savoring
every
last
bit
of
flavor
from
a
dish,
often
seen
as
a
sign
of
really
enjoying
the
food.
So,
when
someone
says
they’re
doing
“scarpetta,”
they
mean
they’re
using
bread
to
clean
their
plate
of
any
remaining
delicious
sauce
or
juices.
