WOW! This place is amazing We had a great waiter she was so sweet and attentive i think her name was Jen or jenni The atmosphere is beautiful. Dim lighting but everyone in the restaurant is having a great time. Not a quiet boring place you can hear yourself chewing. They have an amazing indoor view of the lake And even a indoor fire pit in the middle of a room I got the tomahawk steak and It was OUT OF THIS WORLD amazing. Truffle fries , broccoli and lobster bisque was fantastic I will definitely be returning !

A friend just had an awful bridal shower experience this past weekend and then my parents wanted to go tonight for a birthday dinner and I was hesitant after my friend’s experience and now I know why I. Tonight two of us had ordered lamb which came out raw, literally blue rare at best instead of medium. They weren’t medium rare either, this was actually cool to the touch and purple - both entrees. It’s not the server’s fault of course and he quickly returned them to the kitchen. Then they came back out beyond well done - the meat literally curled back away from the bones from the heat. An issue like this at any upscale steakhouse is resolved by the affected item being removed from the check - it’s literally the standard in hospitality at any level of dining. However, the manager here who came to our table offered us salad - yes, salad. The cheapest thing on the menu, when we already were at our entrees and already had ordered salads with our appetizers. Neither of raw-then-burned-lamb chops were removed, we didn’t even eat them (see attached photo, still in the box at home - not sure why we even bought them), not so much as a cheap offer of dessert. Salads. If you’re going to charge $45-$60+ on an entree like the upscale steakhouses in the city (Alpen Rose, Barclay Prime, Butcher & Singer, Del Frisco’s, Steak48, etc.) then you need to have the same level of service. At ANY of these establishments an improperly delivered item is removed from the bill, even when made properly on a replacement because now it’s impeded and delayed the meal. I never want a corrected item to be comped, but this is the standard at every upscale restaurant, but if you’re going to mess it up TWICE - don’t offend me with an offer of salad

Took my mom here for her birthday and we had the BEST time! Food, drinks, ambiance and service were the absolute BEST! Now I want to come here for my birthday, can’t wait to come back! Would love to enjoy the view during the day!

I took my beautiful wife to the Chophouse for date night the other night. Neither of us have been there and we were excited to give it a try. Upon arrival we were seated promptly and the waitress was welcoming and excited to see us in for our first time. We were given a tour of the menu along with the daily specials. Within minutes we had our first round of drinks which was an old fashioned and margarita. The drinks were beautifully presented and tasted just as good. For food... We got Rnd 1: Bread and butter Ciabatta with pesto/tomato/cheese Rnd 2: Lobster bisque French onion soup Rnd 3: Raw oysters / clams Rnd 4: Dry aged gorgonzola steak Seared tuna (Ahi) on noodles Rnd 5: Key lime pie Chocolate & strawberry cake The food was spectacular and beautifully presented as you can see in the photos. Everything was extremely fresh and well portioned. The wild mushrooms that I got with the steak were soooo yummy and I had plenty to bring home and make a omelette with the next day. The steak / tuna was cooked exactly as we requested. I was amazed at how thick the steak was. Overall, our first experience was amazing and we will certainly be back for more in the future. Thank you for making the night special and especially thank you for not rushing us through the meal.

Tonight, my husband and I celebrated our anniversary. Absolutely everything was perfect! Raymond was our waiter and he helped us celebrate our special day with a very relaxed dinner. He didn’t rush us and he took our order and delivered it with perfection. The dinner was perfect, as usual, and everything was served as expected. I have been here several times and have never been served a bad meal. I definitely recommend this restaurant!

Good food! Good service. Our waitress was very friendly...Warning, if you order the brownie sundae, you're going to want to share😊 You won't regret treating yourself to this. They give you enough for two even three people...You'll definitely want to share...

I was there for dinner on this beautiful Friday night. Great atmosphere, very good drinks and absolutely great service. The only problem we both had were our steaks. I ordered a bone in ribeye medium and my wife ordered a NY strip steak medium well. Both of the steaks came out super well done. Extremely dry and not what a $58 dollar steak is suppose to taste like. I decided to take a few bites and take the rest home for my dogs. We are not the type of people to send food back but it was a very underwhelming experience, I Guess we were expecting something better.

As usual another wonderful experience and what made it even more a delight was our fantastic waitress Melissa. The restaurant was packed and even though we didn’t have a reservation the hostess made it work to get us in. However the seating did not work but Melissa was quick to relocate my daughter and I to a more suitable and comfortable place for an even better experience. The ambiance, the food, the staff and drinks of course make this restaurant a perfect waterfront treasure right in the middle of the Voorhees. Recommendations for the future, it would be nice to see more diversity in staff and clientele. The Mac & Cheese should be served in smaller portion sizes for a fine dining. Managers should be out touching the tables. Overall a tremendous experience and I am very happy to see the restaurant opened to full capacity again. Thanks for serving our community ❤️🌹♥️ 10/12/2022 I am completely pleased to see the diversity in staff and clientele. The valet attendant was excellent in giving exquisite service. Lovely hostess and wonderful waitress. The staff that helped with water and cleaning the table were amazing as well. Again, thanks for making it a pleasant and memorable experience.

Every year to celebrate our anniversary, my wife and I have a fine dining adventure at The ChopHouse! We got married nearby at Lakeside Manor but the venue closed in 2019. We love that there’s an amazing restaurant with a breathtaking view just across the lake. First we ordered the pork belly with peaches and brown sugar, it was the best we’ve ever had! To drink I had the Bonesaw Swoosh IPA and my wife had the Old Fashioned which was smoked table side. In previous years we really enjoyed the colossal king crab legs which should be returning to the menu soon. For the main course we had the New York Strip with a lobster tail and they made it so easy to share. Every steak is aged for at least 28 days in a temperature controlled locker giving it more flavor. This time we tried Kona crusted and, as always, it was delicious! We also tried their baked cauliflower, a seasonal side with a creamy cheese sauce and bacon. When you’re at the ChopHouse, you can tell by the ambiance that many of the guests as there for something important, not just an ordinary meal. It’s nice to see people celebrating birthdays or anniversaries but our favorite is watching the couples that are trying to navigate their first date. We always enjoy the food but the highlight of our adventure is dining with such an incredible view! We like to end the night with a walk around Lakeside Manor. The site is slowly being cleaned up but the iconic smokestacks from the Paint Works of the 1800s still remain. If you are you looking for an incredible steak and an awesome view, make a reservation at the ChopHouse! 🥩🦞🥃🌅 #steakonthelake #chophouseexperience #gibbsboronj #adventuresinsouthjersey

Our experience at the restaurant last night was far from the enjoyable evening we had anticipated when we reserved a table. Despite booking our spot two days ahead, our hopes for a delightful dining experience were completely shattered by the unprofessional service we encountered. Anticipating a busy night, I carefully made sure to secure our dinner reservation, thinking that this would guarantee us a table even if the place was bustling. Little did we expect that our thoughtful planning would only highlight the stark difference between our expectations and the disappointing service we received. Sitting down with excitement, ready to savor the culinary offerings, we found ourselves ignored for an excruciating 20 minutes. The promise of relishing the menu's delights faded away as each minute crawled by. Not wanting to admit defeat, we decided to take matters into our own hands, attempting to get the attention of a passing server. With a raised hand and a polite "excuse me," my boyfriend's voice echoed through the air, only to be met with an intentional disregard that left us completely baffled. The passage of time, once a measure of our excitement, became a symbol of our growing frustration. Despite arriving promptly for our 7:15 reservation, we felt trapped in a surreal time loop as the clock ticked away to 7:40 without any acknowledgment from the restaurant staff. Reluctantly, we came to a unanimous decision – continuing to wait was pointless. It's disheartening that the praises sung about the restaurant's exceptional cuisine were overshadowed by the overwhelming silence of ignored tables and overlooked patrons. The stories of flavorful triumphs and gastronomic adventures faded away in comparison to the harsh reality of the establishment's lackluster customer service. An evening that had initially held so much promise was ultimately tainted by the indifference that reverberated around us, serving as a cautionary reminder for anyone who expects more than just a meal – an experience worth cherishing. Unfortunately, I had high hopes for this place as this was supposed to be a celebratory evening for my boyfriend’s work promotion he has put so much of his effort into earning…. needless to say, I will not be returning.

Normally great service but unfortunately very mediocre this time. The food was amazing I definitely recommend the Buffalo chicken shrimp appetizer and their filet. It's got a lake view that is just gorgeous. Totally worth it.

We have been here twice. This time for our one year anniversary. David our server was kind, attentive and offered great knowledge on the menu. It was truly a team effort with servers, greeters, runners and more. We had a great time and this will be our anniversary spot each year!

This is absolutely an amazing place to go for a very nice dinner or fancy occasion. The atmosphere is romantic and comfortable. The food is amazing. I recommend the steaks, they are always cooked perfectly and delicious! The tuna tartar is a great appetizer. The lobster Mac and cheese has big chunks of fresh lobster in it, it’s very enjoyable. To drink- the blood orange margarita is my favorite!

Had an excellent experience at The ChopHouse! Beautiful view by the water, the service was exceptional as well as the food. Just a tip for ordering steak: if you want medium, ask for medium rare, as they tend to cook a little over. My entire meal was delicious and we will be coming back!

It was our second time at the ChopHouse. The food was great both times. The steaks there are delicious, we had a file and a rib eye. Brussel sprouts were exceptional- I highly recommend trying it. The surf and turf salad looked great but was okay - the steak in it was not as good and there was too much of blue cheese and dressing. The service was great both times. Overall the atmosphere is nice and cozy. They have a lake view which is beautiful during the day.

My husband and I married at the ChopHouse last year. We returned for our anniversary dinner and had just as wonderful of an experience. My husband had requested table by the windows where we actually exchanged vows. Food was once again as delicious as you could ask for. We were wished a happy anniversary by staff and given a complimentary dessert with a candle to celebrate. Credit to our server Kobi who was amazing. Super friendly professional and efficient. Thank you once again Chop House.

Went here for the first time and was not disappointed. Get the blood orange margarita and thank me later. Lamb chops and white truffle fries were great. Tuna tartar was fantastic. Will definitely be back.

This restaurant is amazing! I had one of the best meals of my life. The vibe was cool yet welcoming. Our server Destiny was awesome! It was perfection from start to finish! I had the kona crusted filet oscar style. It was superb, the best steak I ever had. My sister had the NY strip and my nephew had the bone in ribeye, again both were outstanding. For apps we had the cajun shrimp and pork belly, and I had the oysters on the half shell. The oysters were impeccable, served So clean and cold. And the pork belly and shrimp were perfectly cooked. Our sides were Brussel sprouts which were so absolutely delicious that no other brussel sprouts will ever measure up. And we had the bake potato which was big enough to feed the three of us. For Dessert We had the creme brulee and tiramisu which were equally as amazing as our apps and entrees. The service was spot on and the progression of the meal was perfect. The beautiful view lakeside is the cherry on top here. Whether you go for drinks or an intimate dinner please just go! This incredible dining experience will keep us coming back!!!

My wife and I visited to celebrate our wedding anniversary. This was our first visit. Destiny was our waitress, she was friendly & attentive throughout the meal. We started with the shrimp cocktail, 4 REALLY LARGE shrimp with cocktail sauce. I ordered the special, swordfish with a chimichurri sauce, and my wife had Konami rubbed filet with crab meat & gorgonzola sauce. Both were outstanding, as were the sides of sautéed broccoli & Lyonnaise potatoes. The craft drinks were also on point. I can't recommend the Chop House enough! Fabulous food, incredible service and a upscale but casual atmoaphere.

First time at the ChopHouse. Went for special occasion. Had reservations. Was seated right away. First. A bit noisy for my hearing ability, but not terrible, and a bit on the pricy side, but knew this going in. But, the service was outstanding, better than expected. My steak was cooked perfectly and my wife's Australian Lamb Chops were to die for. There was enough for a second dinner the next night for both of us. While we cannot be regulars, we will go back for another special occasion.

Service was very good by Destiny. The dining room by the lake is very nice. Good wine selection. However, the grill cook needs to be retrained. We order medium and medium rare stakes and both were overcooked to medium well. In addition we ordered green beans with crispy shallots. Not what I expected as they were dried onion salad topping. We won’t be returning.

We booked a reservation for a normal dinner, no special occasion. The restaurant was nice. We had early reservations so there were only a few other customers inside when arrived. The staff was great through most of our time but, as the restaurant took on more customers, our brilliant waiter turned into a game of hide and seek. Not saying he was doing it on purpose, although I can say he catered to one single gentlemen sitting alone that arrived well after us more times then I can count. You could tell the customer was a repeat patron. The waiter brought out wine and food quickly for him, constantly filling the gentleman's glass while we waited for another drink. The man was in and out faster then any other customer. He had two salads, full bottle of wine, dessert, then dropped hundreds on the table and left. Cool. He comes all the time and gives the waiter big tips, got it. Completely understand you want to take care of good customers and waiters want big tips, but, keeping a new customer waiting is not the best business practice. If the business is going to clamour over big money customers, you might just want employees asking new customers financial status, maybe then we would have gotten better service. All in all, food was good, nice place.

Went last night for our anniversary. Not only was the food excellent and the view on the patio beautiful but I need to talk about their staff. McKenna was our waitress and this young lady was outstanding. Explained everything to us and made some suggestions that were on point. I noticed how the wait staff really hussled to get food to tables quickly. We wanted to try everything but settled for taking home some extra apps. Drinks were delicious and strong. On the way out the valet asked how our dinner was. Lovely touch. A tip I passed on to my son who also valets. And I love that you can dress up or go casual here. Great dinner for our 22nd and we'll be back regularly for appetizers and drinks at the bar. Really outstanding food, service and ambiance.
